Yurt vacation rentals in Dorset

We wanted a place where our family could connect, the children could experience a different way of life (we’re townies!) and our lungs could fill with fresh air. Moonacre Yurt hit the spot!! Surrounded by chickens, cows and Mother Nature, we soaked up as much of the atmosphere and Dide’s knowledge as possible. What a wonderful host, encouraging the kids to collect fresh eggs and talking to them about biodynamic farming, such a pleasure! Not a place for those of you wanting creature comforts (compost toilet, walk outside the yurt to get to bathroom and kitchen) but oh so wonderful for a snippet of the good life...

Despite the weather taking a turn and it being incredibly wet most the weekend, we throughly enjoyed our stay at the yurt. The yurt itself is very cosy. We bought our projector and screen so we could snuggle up and watch some films with the wood burner going, and the sound of the rain just made it that bit cosier. We loved the hot tub, though we only used it one of the nights we stayed. The farm shop on site is such a fabulous perk of staying here, we grabbed some nice beers/posh vodka, and snacks and nibbly bits, and we popped in and checked out the vintage/antique shop too. Being so close to the farm animals was also really sweet and we both loved the pig. Overall we made the most of our stay and had a really lovely time.

Our whole group had a fantastic weekend away at this beautiful spot. The rain didn't dampen our spirits as the facilities were perfect. The gorgeous yurt made a wonderful communal space & the firepit provided a magical outside spot. The tents were very comfortable & had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this private getaway & could not fault it. 10 out of 10!!

Had an absolutely lovely couple of nights at the site for New Year's. The site was peaceful and in a beautiful location. The yurt was amazing, excellent wood burner, lovely furnishings and the heated sheets were great too. Nick was very welcoming and helpful (we didnt get the chance to meet Molly), lovely chap and we made use of the table tennis and i braved a dip in the lake, which was great! Close proximity to several pubs and plenty of food options in Bridport itself too, as well as many amazing areas to visit on the Jurassic Coast. We will happily be back at some point, this has been one of the best Airbnb visits ive had, so would highly recommend to anyone thinking of going!

a great stay in Maren and Richards Yurt. Super cosy and comfy. Easy access to everything you need and hosts were super friendly and accommodating. Fantastic and quick communication. Sunsets at this place are incredible! thoroughly enjoyed my time

What a place this is. I always spend a while on air b&b trying to find somewhere good to stay at a reasonable price…. This surpasses that! The yurts are way bigger than expected, the communal area is awesome and has everything you need, shower room is great. The kids absolutely loved every minute of it, we had some real, money can’t buy quality family time. (Amazing what 2 days of no screens can do!) We will , 110% be back for a longer stay again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had the most wonderful 3-day stay at the Sky Cabin – it was everything we needed and more! The cabin itself is super cosy and perfectly nestled next to a forest, making it the ideal spot if you’re looking to truly switch off and unwind. We actually loved that there was no WiFi – a much-needed digital detox that let us really relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The hot tub was such a lovely bonus and our 10-year-old daughter absolutely loved it – it really made the trip extra special for her. Robbie and Rachel were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the start. We’re already thinking about coming back in the summer – it’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again!

What a location! And the facilities and space to back it up. Duvet was snug and warm despite quite chilly nights on our late April visit. We had an amazing time.

A very memorable stay, Amanda's listing has beautiful photos but they don't do the place justice! A wonderful way to have a truly relaxing, off grid experience but we were by no means slumming it! Amanda and Tom have kitted out the yurt and accompanying cabin with everything you could possibly need and more. The bed was extremely comfy and we were toasty warm despite it being well into October.

Extremely beautiful and peaceful spot, very private, brilliantly equipped to be comfortable but also in keeping with its natural surroundings and nature. Lovely, responsive hosts. Worth every penny for a restorative break in idyllic countryside.

What a wonderful place!! absolutely stunning, each area is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. the yurt and beds very comfy with electric blankets. kitchen area with table and shower, outdoor bath and sauna perfect!! under shelter fire, hammocks and seating area all wonderful. connected with nature and left feeling refreshed. highly recommed staying here!!! This is glamping at it’s best. All the benefits of getting away from it all and back to basics in the countryside, with the luxury of home comforts in a beautiful private peaceful setting. Sam & Rich had thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay. The biscuits and cider on arrival was a lovely welcome. There’s so much to do on the doorstep; walking, beach days and great food. We hope to come back in the future.

The Stargazing Yurt was such a magical stay ✨ We had the best weekend with the fire going, lovely hot baths and just a truly relaxing time. The area is beautiful and you wake up to the sight of the Sea. Wonderful walks near by, pubs and a local shop. It couldn’t have been better. We all said we would stay here again 💚 A real Island gem. An amazing place to stay. James was very proactive and made sure we had everything needed. It was a nice touch to have a bottle of fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge. The yurt has got everything you need for a break away. The beds are very comfy, the bathroom on the side is clean and the shower is nicely hot (you really do need it when the weather fails you!). The surroundings are to kill for. I was waking up to a sunset with deers running around. Can’t ask for anything else with my morning coffee 😊 Kids and I are already planning another weekend away at the yurt.

great stay, surprised the wife and three children under 5yrs. they loved it, so much for the kids to do. Many happy memories made.

We checked in at late notice and had the most gorgeous stay for 2 nights. The space was stunning and picturesque. Would have loved to stay longer and will definitely be back. I also lost the tiniest piece of jewellery which Camilla searched high and low for and found to return to me. So so grateful!

When we arrived I was lost for words the photos don’t do the yurts 🛖 the justice 😍🥰 Absolutely amazing soo beautiful and great little break for my children of 2 and 6 who loved it just as much possibly much more because had a play park adjacent to our tent and they could come and go and loved making their beds and helping carry the washing up (not like this at home lol), felt so relaxed and is so beautiful inside with the fire and lights on in the evening 🙌🏼🩷 I didn’t realise their was a fridge so even better to keep milk and things cold as does get very warm inside especially on a summers day but no complaints at all thanks so much will definitely be back and comes highly recommended! 💯❤️

We had the best time at Tim's place! The location exceeded our expectations, it was so peaceful with loads to do and we even saw the resident deer a couple of times. We had a hammock, swings for the kids, a badminton court, firepit area with loads of wood. But make sure you are up for a steep walk to and from the car park as not suited for people with any knee or ankle issues. The yurt was spectacular too with everything you would expect and the furnishings are beautiful 🐝! Thank you Tim for a lovely stay!

The place is so nice especially with nature lovers, secure and we have a privacy. Angus is approachable, quick to response with our messages. We really enjoyed staying in Angus place. We were thankful for extra bonus the 5 free range eggs.

This Airbnb was lovely. The Yurt looks exactly like the pictures and everything was laid out/decorated perfectly. The place is extremely cosy and considering it was Feb we didn’t struggle to keep warm with the fire going. It has everything you’d need for a stay and the host was super helpful and responsive. I can imagine that the outdoor area would be lovely in the summer too.

Really lovely place to stay for a weekend away. Beautiful surroundings - peaceful, private space. We absolutely loved the hot tub! Place was clean and tidy. Some extra amenities wouldn’t go amiss - shampoo and shower gel, basic kitchen supplies (olive oil) etc. The local pub was a 10-15 minute walk away down a narrow, gravel lane with very little street lighting. Car is a must! Other than that, Megan is a lovely host and we enjoyed our stay.

Had the most beautiful stay at the Secret Garden - location is absolutely stunning, super well equipped, an amazing oasis of calm and the surrounding area, fields and ponds, are gorgeous too. The space has everything you need to cook, wood provided for fires, toiletries provided in the bathroom, even got left a lovely loaf of bread. Amanda gave us some great recommendations and talked us through everything about the place and would definitely revisit. Loved our stay for a rustic weekend getaway!

We had an amazing stay at Paula’s yurt. The interior was beautifully decorated with everything we needed. There were plenty of towels for us to use plus a bathrobe for the hot tube. The kitchen outside the yurt was very well equipped for preparing meals and sheltering from the rain when needed. Hot tub was very relaxing and all the facilities seemed new and were very clean. We would absolutely recommend Paula’s place as a retreat for the weekend or even longer! We would absolutely love to visit again. Thanks a lot for having us.
