Bungalow vacation rentals in Dorset

We had a fabulous family stay at Club Casita! The location was perfect, in a beautiful peaceful spot by the river, but just a 5 minute stroll into Christchurch town centre and about 30 mins walk (5 min drive) to the beach. The lodges are all well set apart with plenty of private space, it’s a lovely place. The lodge itself was well appointed and really comfortable - especially loved the log burner and vinyl record player! Candice and Dan are wonderful hosts - very responsive, friendly and helpful. In the summer there are kayaks for use and a sauna/cold plunge too…can’t wait to return to enjoy it all! Thanks again to Candice and Dan for a wonderful break, see you again soon!

We loved our stay at Linda’s chalet by the sea. Its perfectly located for visiting family and has everything we need as a family of four with two young children. Two bathrooms including a bath and shower and a washing machine so we can pack a little lighter and wash as we go! The chalet was comfy, cosy and clean and perfectly located for walks on the beach. The biscuits were a lovely touch too.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at James and Hazel's place. kitchen equipped with utensils and foil so we could make a Sunday roast. As described and just up the road from our family. would definitely stay again. Thanks

We were welcomed on arrival by Deborah's husband Doug. Deborah had kindly left us milk in the fridge and something sweet to have with our first cup of tea. The property itself was well equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay and the heating, which we needed a couple of mornings, was easy to use and warmed up quickly. There was a problem with connecting to the WiFi which Doug rectified quickly. The location was very good for walking the Exe Coast Path and was about a mile from the town centre and a mile and a half to the beach. The property is on a busy road so care needs to be taken when pulling on and off the drive, but there is no road noise in the bungalow. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Below Decks was a fantastic location for our first visit to Swanage - couldn't have been more centrally located right on the sea front. All restaurants and attractions were within easy walking distance. The house itself was beautifully compact yet plenty large enough inside with all amenities needed for a perfect stay. Very homely and having a car parking space was brilliant. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had a lovely little stay at Grant’s. It was very cosy, very clean and the extra touch of milk and snacks was super handy and thoughtful. The location is great too. There is a park very close by which my kids loved. The beach is a short walk too. There was a halal restaurant (Jaffran) 7 mins drive, they also do delivery if you can pay by cash. Tesco is also close by. We only stayed 2 nights and that wasn’t really enough to fully explore the area and really enjoy it. I’d recommend staying longer if you have kids. Overall, lovely little place, friendly host and great area.

This was a great relaxing spot. The views were stunning and it was easily walkable (although be aware steeply uphill since the boardwalk was being fixed) to lots of great restaurants. Easily drivable to lots of interesting spots within 20-30 minutes. A great spot to relax and unwind.

Great location in Mudeford close to beach and walks,near to transport links to get around the region.Very quiet local area.Bungalow was spacious,clean and very well equipped.Garden was lovely,enclosed and safe for dogs, a great place to be.Mudhuts support was proactive and responsive.We had a great 4 days and would book again!

David is a fantastic host! Beautiful sea views, spacious accommodation, secure back garden/terrace, hot tub was an added bonus! Excellent location close to Paignton, Cockington, Brixham, steam train/ferry to Dartmouth, dog walking beaches (check restrictions during summer months). Thanks David for a lovely stay. Would highly recommend.

Laura was great! So responsive and clear answers! Her place was just lovely! We stayed there as a family of three and it felt like a home away from home! The location is perfect too, it is only a 5 minute drive away from the floating bridge and another 2 minutes from the ferry port. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore the island as it’s a really good base, the high street is about a 2 minute walk and there are two supermarkets very close by! Thank you Deborah we had another wonderful stay in your beautiful home. It’s so comfortable and welcoming and in a quiet area. It’s great that’s it’s so close to Sidmouth and so easy to walk into the town along a riverside walk. There are so many places to visit in the area. Thanks to Deborah for keeping in touch to make sure our stay was such a good one. We would love to come back.

We stayed at William’s place as a family of 11 adults with 3 children. William was very quick to respond to queries and gave clear instructions for how to get to the property and how to check in. We had plenty of space for everyone at the house and the kitchen was well stocked with kitchen ware. The kids enjoyed the large jacuzzi in one of the en-suites and the annex was also comfortable. Location was good. We were very close to the New Forest National Park and 20 mins drive to Bournemouth. Only thing we didn’t enjoy so much was the driveway off from the main road to get to the house which was just a dirt track with lots of potholes. We had a great stay and would be happy to come again.

We had a very enjoyable stay, the house was easy to find with clear instructions, off road parking and a very private and quiet area. We were in a big residential area but it was really quiet, we loved the little house it was well arranged and had everything we needed,my husband and I have stayed in quite a few airbnbs around Cardiff to visit our daughter, and this is the best so far, there was bread and croissants, jams, milk, butter, water, orange juice etc, as well as toiletries and even new toothbrushes etc in the bathroom, should you need them. Whenever we have stayed in other Airbnbs we have always had to go and buy all these after arriving, after our long journey in the car due to roadworks and an accident holding up traffic we really appreciated being able to have a cup of tea without having to go shopping. We would definitely stay again if the property is available when I next visit Cardiff

Really enjoyed our stay at the Cavern. Incredibly clean and well appointed. Couldn't ask for more. Mark's communication was excellent and pretty much instant. Highly recommended.

Jill & Steve, are great hosts. What a perfect place to relax & put your feet up. The accommodation is all on one level which was great for my 89 year old parents, the grounds were fab wonderful for my Labradoodle who had so much fun running after the ball in all that space 👍🏼 There are 2 places that adjoin so if you are a party of 8 this place would be great. However we were 3 & it was just great for us. Just what we needed. Thanks again Jill & Steve 😉

lily cottage was ideal for us. plenty of space for 2 people. A Nice private secluded garden for us to sit in. very clean, the extras that were provided was a nice touch. Ideal location, would love to return again next year. had a lovely week...thanks
