Vacation rentals with a kayak in Cowichan Valley

My Family and I had a wonderful stay at Gabriel's property. We were a group of 8 adults and 2 children, and we all fit comfortably inside his home. There was a lot of seating available to dine together as a family, and a lot of separate areas for when we wanted some time for ourselves. The kids enjoyed exploring the beaches for different sea creatures when the tide was low. I would recommend water shoes or something more sturdy than flip flops. The sandy areas created strong suction against our soles, and there are a lot of rocks and shells around the shore area. During high tide, we were visited by some sea lions in the distance. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked many of our meals and there were ample pots, pans, seasonings, plates and cutlery available for our use. The property was clean, and it good condition. Plenty of towels were provided for the beach and hot tub. I would recommend this property for large groups who want a peaceful beach vacation.

Dakota and Brad were great hosts- easy, quick and helpful communications. The house was as described though much higher above the water than I thought from the pictures which was no problem for us. The house was clean, beds were comfy and being lakeside added to the fun. My son and 2 friends were there for the Victoria Ironman and very much appreciated the hottub post race! They also enjoyed taking the dock with small electric engine out on the lake. The kitchen has basic pots and pans, dinnerware and glassware. As mentioned, there are tenants on the lower level but we never saw them.

We had a weekend on the lake at Scott’s! The place was cozy during the snowy weekend. Beautiful lakefront spot with incredible outdoor area that you can enjoy year round. The hot tub was great to relax in and look over the lake. Would absolutely come back here again!

When we arrived Lois greeted us with a warm welcome! We felt comfortable right away. The house is beautiful and comes with everything you need to feel right at home. The property also has a gorgeous view of the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect.

Our family had an unforgettable stay here and would love to come back some day! It was a beautiful space and location, close to shops and restaurants, steps to an excellent beach and is a friendly neighbourhood. Will recommend to friends and family. Thanks for a great start to summer!

Shauna was really responsive and helpful if we had any questions. The view of the lake was beautiful and the space was comfortable and worked great for our big group.

Loved our stay! The view was incredible and the location was very private. Highlights were going kayaking and sitting out on the large patio. Tania and James were very responsive and welcoming! Highly recommend!

Mile 77 cottage was absolutely exceptional. Lisa has put a lot of thought into these cottages and there is not one thing you could want for! When we seen the place we only wish we could stay another few nights to make the most of it! This place is perfect for every type of group/couple! This place looks a better in reality than pictures.. would 100% recommend Mile 77 cottages!

We had a wonderful family vacation at Christine’s beautiful home! Everyone enjoyed the sauna and the fire pit! The gorgeous view speaks for itself!! The home was spacious and accommodated our group of 7 easily for games in the evening in the living room and around the dining table For meals! The Beds were comfy and the space was clean and had enough towels etc to accommodate everyone! The kitchen was well stocked with all the things you could need for cooking! Christine was easy to get ahold of and super accommodating!! We give this spot a ten out of ten!!! Thanks again Christine we really enjoyed our stay!

Had a great weekend stay at Lesha’s cozy little cabin. Even though it was super hot outside the cabin was nice and cool inside probably because of how nice and nestled into the trees it is. Really enjoyed my peaceful morning coffee sitting on the porch in the rocker looking out over the lake and the dock/lake access was perfect during the heat of the day. This is a great home base for a nice relaxing Shawnigan Lake trip!

Lovely stay at Maple Ridge Cottages, cute little cozy space to hangout by the lake. This would be the perfect place in the summer while you can jump into the lake and use the provided water equipment (canoe, paddle-boards) enjoyed the wood burning fireplace at night and cooked our own meals on the BBQ. Only a short driving distance to town.

The cottage and surrounding area was extremely peaceful and absolutely beautiful. I recommend coming out here if you want true relaxation

My sister and I had a lovely time staying at Bill and Ashley’s cottages. The cabin was the perfect little size, and equipped with everything we needed to cook lovely meals and enjoy a fun relaxing weekend. Big thanks to Bill for lending us a guitar capo when we realized we had forgotten ours! Say hi to Zoey and Louie for us, can’t wait to visit again :)

We came up as a group of 6 for a bachelorette and had the best time! Julie was such a kind and gracious host. The space was even better than we imagined- beautifully decorated, spacious, clean, and so charming. We loved our magical dinner in the garden, evenings on the huge deck overlooking the lake, and our lake dips followed by a sauna. The robes were also so appreciated! Truly the perfect place for any group trip. We only wish we had booked a longer stay! Couldn’t recommend more :)

Amazing place to stay. My kids love the cottage and spend most of the time outside playing in nature. Ashley was quick to respond. We will definitely would like to come back here again.

Dean's place is a well planned with modern amenities and touches of older charm. He was very helpful and the only regret is our visit was too short.

The cabin had all of the accommodations we needed. It was nice to be able to have a fire during the cooler hours, and to be able to walk down to the docks. We bought delicious frozen pizza and lasagna from the store for our first night there.

What a beautiful place to stay! Both me and my friends were impressed with how lovely and well kept the loft was. Clean, spacious and overall comfortable, I would definitely stay at the loft again!

We loved our stay and wished we had planned a longer trip. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We can’t wait to come back.

A beautiful and serene stay at this adorable cottage. Lots of love and care have gone into ensuring a most pleasant stay. Just a short drive from Gagnes village for restaurants and local artisans galore. Host was always responsive when needed. Bed was super comfy and the heated bathroom floor was a delight during the cooler evenings. Would highly recommend this quaint stay!
