Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Claytor Lake

This was our third time here. Like always was a pleasure for us to stay to Estelle house!

Close to walk to Black Dog Salvage and Grandin Road area. Just a short walk to get on the greenway. The location was great. Inside was just like the pictures, don't judge it by the outside surrounding. Would stay there again.

The Road House is truly a cool spot, American motorcycle paradise. Plenty to do and plenty of comfy bed. Nice bar and a safe location. Highly recommended for anyone traveling with a large group who wants a fun space to hang. Thanks for providing such a cool spot!

Good place in a good location. Outside the hustle and bustle of the main part of the city, but still close enough to do things. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and has a large basement area with 2 additional bedrooms. Great for my family and I to stay the night while traveling across country.

Great place for the whole family to stay for our son’s white coat ceremony. Very clean, lots of room and we were able to include our fur baby also!

My family’s second time staying at one of the host’s properties. We had a great time and the Airbnb was in such a nice area. Would stay again!

We had a really fun stay at Shaena’s home. The home was spacious, clean and has a lot of character. The surrounding area was beautiful with many close trails to enjoy. The home is a reasonable distance from Blacksburg while feeling more remote. Be prepared for how close the train is, that said if you like trains the view is really cool!

We loved our stay here! It was the perfect space for our family, and we were able to walk to restaurants and other activities. Highly recommend Grandin Gem!

Freddie and Cathy were great hosts. We had a issue with the TV and they came quickly to help us out. Super friendly and great host. This will be our go-to spot on our next visit!

Nice, quiet location. Easy walk to downtown and the Floyd Country Store. Apartment had everything we needed in the bathroom and kitchen. Even spare toothbrushes and toothpaste! Would definitely stay here again.

Beth & Stephen were super friendly and responsive...made us feel very welcome. Great informative YouTube videos on check in and parking also, which help a ton if you're not familiar with the area. Booked the apt for my husband while he was on a work trip and he said the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable and he slept like a baby. Will stay again for sure...looking forward to the next trip when I can stay myself!

We got in late! the place is a lower level/basement walk out apartment in a quiet neighborhood not far from the highway. It was easy to find and check in. We appreciated fruit, snacks, water and juice left for us. The living room is large with lots of places to sit so we had our own couches and took turns playing pinball. the kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook meals. We were comfortable in the bedrooms with lots of blankets and pillows. The bathroom was nice too with plenty of soap and shampoos. We had a flight delay and needed to stay an extra night. I was able to communicate with Debbie quickly and she was so kind. Thank you

Brianna’s place was clean and quiet. Pictures looked like the apartment. Downtown is not really walking distance if that’s something you’re looking for. Location is okay. There were snacks in the cupboard which was a nice little treat. The apartment is spacious with many food options on the fridge. Overall was a good stay!

stayed here for the VT vs Marshall football game. everything was great, easy to get in, simple instructions a few nice perks when we arrived. the house was perfect for the weekend. it is located really close to campus in a quiet neighborhood. i would stay there again.

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The condo was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained, making it feel like a home away from home. The hosts were accommodating and ensured everything was perfect for my stay. One of the best parts was the location—there were plenty of fantastic restaurants and bars within walking distance, making it easy to enjoy great food and nightlife. We would definitely stay here again. Bathrooms and kitchen were spotless. On a clear day we had a beautiful view of the mountains and the valley below. Quaint shopping in Fancy Gap. Check out the wings and a beverage at Creek Bottom Brewing in Galax. Short trip to Mt Airy NC. We left feeling refreshed.

This was our second time staying at Angela’s place. Her home is very spacious, well-maintained and clean. We loved the easy access to nearby conveniences and the quick drive to Blacksburg. Angela was very responsive in our communications. We’ll stay here again in the future.

Sheila's place was great with a great view, spacious. Especially surprised and pleased that the living room was much more spacious than the pictures. convenient location for a few minutes walk to restaurants, farmers market and museums etc... very satisfied with the spring break experience at Sheila's, will definitely book here again next time.
