Lake house vacation rentals in Claytor Lake

Beautiful home with excellent views of the lake and valley--it was especially lovely as the leaves were turning. Also, the place has dark skies for star-gazing on a clear night. All rooms were clean and as-presented in the photos and description. Jeff sent some very helpful info and photos to help us drive in to the house--especially helpful since the last ~1 mile is on a private, relatively narrow road. Also, my Android Maps app on my phone was clearly sending me to the wrong location (i.e., not to the lake), so we relied on my spouse's I-Phone--which brought us right in. (Interestingly, Google Maps on my laptop had showed the correct location, but Google navigation on my phone was pointing elsewhere.) Recommend you pre-check your nav feature in advance of your arrival. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a serene location with great views and lake access.

Good location away from the town and great hospitality

Second stay was as beautiful and peaceful as the first. What an absolutely incredible and unique house!

Alicia was a proactive and responsive host to a great home that afforded a very restful stay. Amenities were the best we’ve ever experienced at an Air B&B. Coffee, snacks, toiletries, plentiful supplies and quality towels and linens added to the experience. The welcome gifts (a strudel from a local bakery and bottle of wine) were enjoyed and were a classy touch. We booked the home to relax with family over Easter. The home exceed all expectations. Highly recommend this home and host.

What a gem Lake Daze is. Tim and Melissa are the most gracious host. Trust me when I say pictures don’t prepare you for how incredible this home is. We felt as if we were visiting family not a rental. The house is clean, incredibly equipped and every area is perfectly decorated. The beds are so comfy with high end linens. We spent so much time on the main deck it was perfect dining and lounging. The men really enjoyed fishing off the dock. It is a very peaceful location! Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this home for a long weekend fishing trip. The wives stayed at the house to watch a movie, tried out the nearest winery, and went into town just a few minutes away which was absolutely adorable. The husbands found a million different fishing spots and had a blast. The kitchen has more than enough supplies for cooking/ small amounts of leftovers. Including two crock pots!! The beds were comfy and the showers were hot. No complaints.

My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay very much. The private dock into the lake provided enjoyable swimming opportunities! The view and wildlife were beautiful. Barbara was quick to answer our messages during our stay. The home was cozy and slept very well. Overall, I would recommend this place to family & friends. In the area, I do recommend “Hank’s Drive In” & “Tom’s Drive In” for great food! I also recommend “The Curious Quill” for shopping! Thank you.

This is a wonderful place in a beautiful setting. It was spacious enough for our large family gathering, and we really enjoyed exploring the grounds.

Beautiful lake views. The owner stopped by to drop off salt since we were expecting snow and ice which was very thoughtful. He also let us know we could park at the top of the driveway if needed. Will definitely look to stay here again.

We had a lovely experience in our little cottage. Everything was neat and clean. Right after we arrived, a deer walked by. There is a very nice park at the end of the street. Our dogs loved walking and sniffing everywhere. The view of the lake and mountains is peaceful. People fished and picnicked . There is a pier. I saw people boating, and riding on wave runners. Draper Mercantile is nearby. The menu is tasty and there is a variety of coffees, beer and wine available. Right there is an ice cream shop called Conerys. A bike trail is right there by Draper’s.

This place is very high vibe and peaceful. And the bed is really comfy. The views are awesome and the pond nearby really takes it up a notch. We loved it!!

The property was lovely! We enjoyed it so much. We did a little fishing and caught some fish. The restaurant was so convenient and the food was yummy! Highly recommend staying here. We would love to visit again.

The home was lovely, very clean and well stocked. Many places that we have rented didn’t have adequate paper products, trashcan liners, etc. for the number of people, but this one did. Also the availability of kitchen utensils and appliances was great and served us well when we were cooking our big family meals The deck was incredible and well furnished. We spent a ton of time out there! We had a couple of small on-site issues, and Sunny responded promptly, and the issues were addressed immediately. Extremely helpful staff and overall a wonderful experience.

This is a beautiful, peaceful unique property. The view is stunning! Loved the fireplace. Clara was easy to work with and responsive. Kitchen could use a few more wineglasses and a bit of decluttering but would not hesitate to stay here again. Loved the area!

This home has a unique style that makes it fun and interesting. It’s split into two levels, which is great for multiple families or groups. The views are incredible, and the outdoor seating area is perfect for spending time together as a family. The host was fantastic—very responsive and helpful anytime we had questions or needed anything. The outdoor space is especially great for kids, with a deck that leads down to a pond area that they loved exploring. Inside, the house is spacious and well-stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathrooms were fully equipped with extra essentials. I’d absolutely recommend this place—it was a great experience all around.

Luna's Trail is simply a magnificent location for peace and tranquility. We had attended a wedding there a few years ago and stayed in the main event hall. We returned this time with our family to join our extended family for Thanksgiving dinner at a relative's house about a 15 minute drive away. Now, it is definitely in the country so if you're expecting a hustle and bustle or a lot of choice in restaurants and entertainment near by this is not your venue. But if you're looking for a really nice cabin, quiet surroundings with lots of nature, spotlessly clean and well appointed, this is a wonderful location. Well we did not have the occasion on this trip to enjoy the restaurant, we know from our last visit that it is outstanding. We do highly commend the Luna's Mexican Kitchen restaurant a short drive away from the event center and cabin- Simply incredible and authentic cuisine! We felt that we got good value for money!

Had a very relaxing weekend with the pups, woke up to a beautiful view every morning and got to see a bunch of wildlife just In the front yard! i will definitely be looking forward to staying here again!

Great value for a two bedroom, fully equipped space with lake access. The furniture could be more comfortable, but overall we were pleased with the space. The kitchen was quite well-stocked; we appreciated having a slow cooker to make our dinners while we enjoyed the lake. Being able to do laundry was also a wonderful plus. We also enjoyed using the kayak and air pump provided so we didn’t have to pack ours.
