Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Chautauqua Lake

This was our fourth stay at Jeff and Anne’s beautiful lake home and it just gets better every year. So peaceful and the surroundings are just spectacular. Jeff was quick to respond to our questions and made sure we had everything we needed for another wonderful vacation.

I stayed here with my girlfriend and daughter for 2 days. It was perfect for us, we used the big backyard to our advantage. Played cornhole, daughter had fun on the play set, and had a nice fire one night. The inside was absolutely spotless, and well taken care of. There was a binder to explain everything about the house, food nearby, and check in/check out help. Thanks Alan we had a blast!

we had a quick little visit as we drove cross country, but Sharon we excellent and the house was perfect for my family and pets. loved the little touches like a kids coloring table and water bottles in the fridge.

Visiting Mary’s while the lake was frozen over was neat! We were able to see fishermen and their huts out in the middle of the lake. Mary even provided binoculars so that we could look out across. The windows out the back window facing the lake were perfect for viewing. There’s even an upstairs room with a deck and a view as well! We also took full advantage of the fireplace. It made our visit super cozy which was exactly what we were hoping for! We’re definitely keeping this place in mind for another trip - we’d come back in winter and also for summer to use the deck and other amenities available outside!

Great place to stay with friends or family. Perfect for large groups. The flexible checking and out is so nice! Loved that we could bring our dogs. We had a great time!

This was, far and away, the best house I have ever stayed in through Air B&B. Every possible thing you thought you needed to bring was already in the house. A fully stocked kitchen, extra blankets, sheets and towels, and even extra bathroom needs. The neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance to both the grocery and a few shops and eateries. You can actually SEE Chautauqua Lake from the house! Wi-Fi and TV options were plentiful, and there are comfy chairs in the living room if you wanted to stay in and catch a movie or a game. In short, I hope other hosts are reading this, because THIS HOUSE is the reason Air B&B exists. I’d stay here every time if I could.

Can't say enough good things about Tammy and the experience staying here. Everything was spotless, the process was seamless, and she is extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive to messages. The house is beautifully decorated and the beds are so comfortable. This was our family's second time staying here and we will continue to book her place whenever we are in town!

Colleen's attention to detail and the "little" things was phenomenal. During our email exchange prior to our visit, I mentioned something in passing and she took it upon herself to act on that. There was in no way anything expected and she went ahead and added a little detail that was very kind and appreciated. She has shelves and a closet with little things that might be forgotten or something that you might find need of when the nearby stores aren't open or it's the middle of the night and you're warm and cozy inside. Her decorating sense allows me to revisit childhood memories of going to Gramp and Gramma's house, and that was much appreciated as well. The back portion of the lot has a fire pit, complete with a rack of firewood at the ready, a picnic table to one side, and even has marshmallow sticks tucked away inside the house. A gas grill by the back deck, another table, party lights, and a privacy screen (if desired), and I'm at a loss as to what else could be needed.

Alexxis was kind and responsive. her place was awesome! walkable to everything, gorgeous view of the river, and a cool fire pit that I wish we had take advantage of. Thank you Alexxis!!

Perfect spot for a weekend away. Will definitely return once the weather gets a little warmer and we can enjoy the lake.

Being originally from Jamestown, this place was the perfect "home away from home" for the holidays. My partner and I loved our stay, and we'll definitely be staying here again the next time we're in town. Truly made my time and my partner's first time visiting an unforgettable one. This is my 4th time staying with Laurie. Her place is comfortable and is the perfect location for visiting my SUNY Fredonia student.

Our stay here was fantastic! Parking and entering the apartment were a breeze. Upon entering the unit, we immediately appreciated the lovely woodwork and beautiful windows as we head up the stairs. What a pleasant surprise! The immaculately clean unit was more spacious than expected and we all plenty of room for our things and to spread out. Our bed and linens were SO comfortable. The living room couch and chairs were so comfy, too. The kitchen was stocked with everything imaginable but was so neat and orderly. We loved all of the small decor pieces that were tastes of history of the area. So nice! The claw tub and bathroom were charming and the extra half bath will be useful with a crowd. AND…the loft/attic was a true crowd pleaser for our son and his friend and for when our Fredonia student came by. How awesome and HUGE!! They had a blast. Fantastic flex space. Porch off kitchen is adorable and well appointed. We cant wait to stay here again!

I went during the off-season - it was easy to get to, Joyce was incredibly helpful and kind! Would definitely love to visit again in the future. She was very accommodating and friendly! I loved the whole eccentric vibe of the town and everyone felt very welcoming and friendly.

We always look forward to our stays at The Apartment. It’s our go-to for visits to NE. Very comfortable and close to everything.

Melissa and Matt were the perfect hosts. Very clear and detailed instructions provided well in advance of stay and they were immediately responsive and helpful with any questions. Their condo was clean and as described. Much more updated and modern compared to the rustic and historical comparable offerings around. Great amenities. The central location is unmatched. My husband, adult children and I stayed for a weekend wedding event and I can’t imagine a better spot. Walkable. Effortless. Highly recommended.

This place was absolutely perfect for our group of families on a ski weekend. The bedrooms were large and beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and everything we needed to cook for a crowd. Best of all, the location was outstanding…right in front of the lift! The place was clean too! Highly recommend.

We’ve stayed at CHQ Lake Estates a number of times over the years. This was by far one of the best places! Quiet, clean, and comfortable—We took AM walks (just the best) and people are so friendly. The pool is amazing. And you cannot beat the view of the lake anywhere. We even took time to sit out on the cushioned deck chairs at sunset and just relaxed—something we don’t do often enough. Well stocked with pots, pans, glasses, utensils etc.. Soft sheets & comfortable beds. It was great to have 3 bathrooms—having 2 showers meant we could all get ready in record time. Be sure to bring your TV sign-in information so you don’t have to reset your passwords! (Voice of experience… lol) Great instruction book with local recommendations and fast wi-fi. We had 4 adults and 3 kids. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great time! Everything was as described and it was well worth it! We would love to return next year !

The pace is very nice and had beautiful view of the golf course.

We were a group of two families - 6 adults and 6 teens. The location to the slopes was perfect. We had plenty of sleeping spaces. The kitchen was well equipped to make all of our meals at the condo. Julie and Michael reached out during our stay to make sure everything was as we expected. We will be back!
