Cottage vacation rentals in Chautauqua Lake

As other reviewers have said, Cynthia has a great little get-away. We changed arrival plans/departure plans and she was very accomdating to each request. Really enjoyed the cats, they are very friendly. Beware, the stairs to the upstairs living area are bit tricky to navigate, especially when carrying a bag.

I stayed at many airbnbs and this one easily takes a spot in the top 3. Kelly's place was everything you could wish for. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The cottage was clean and way better than its description. The kitchen was stocked with everything one would need and even included snacks and water. Kelly also provided us with firewood for the fire pit! The beds and linen were comfortable and clean and the bathroom was spotless. Kelly proactively reached out to us and even suggested nearby places we should visit. The place is within an hour drive of multiple attractions and if you don't feel like driving far, the lake has everything you need. This is one of those places where after just day the first thought is "I need to book here again"

Staying at Sally’s rentals has become a family tradition for us. She is an excellent host who has provided us with kindness, flexibility, and extremely quick responses when anything has come up. Her properties are well-stocked, offering the comforts of home and so much more. We come back every year because we’ve had such positive experiences. It truly feels like a home away from home for us!

Overall, Amanda’s place was adorable and a great getaway for a long weekend! Amanda is very responsive and kind. We had a few hiccups with the house (technical things) and she was very responsive and willing to help as much as she could despite not being in the area. It is a tight space for more than 6 people. There were 7 total in our group so keep in mind it only having one shower and some close sleeping quarters. The beds were very comfy and clean though. It was still cool with the AC window units on too (if staying in the summer). All in all would stay again!

The home is so beautiful, I took pictures because I really want to build a home and it’s what I’m going to base it off of!!! Kathlene was so helpful. Anything we needed she was right on it.!! we will plan on coming again in the future! You will not be disappointed in this location or the home itself!!

We had a lovely stay at this adorable little beach house. The location is fantastic, right by the lake and the entrance to Point Gratiot park. The weather wasn't great, but we did get one night of sitting in the hot tub looking out at a beautiful Lake Erie sunset, which was such a nice treat. The indoor space was clean and well maintained. The little coffee area was a nice touch, and while we didn't do any cooking, it looked like the kitchen had everything you'd need. There is also a nice laundry room with a full washer and dryer. The owners were very responsive and friendly. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful in the winter, with a lovely creek running by the back of the house. We felt safe and comfortable at all times. Our family would definitely stay here again if the need arises!

Grew up in the area and came back to visit family. Stayed here for a quiet weekend break and this place was clean, comfortable and had all the amentities. It was quiet and easy to unwind. I highly reccomend this gem.

WOW! That’s what we said when we opened the front door. The view of the lake was awesome and Barbara’s house was perfect for the 4 of us celebrating our 70th birthdays. We have stayed in many Airbnb’s before but this house had every amenity you could ask for. It is tastefully decorated and well stocked including paper products, shampoos, spices, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the view of the morning sunrise from the master bedroom was absolutely breathtaking! We visited the National Comedy Museum in Jamestown and walked the beautiful grounds of the Chautauqua Institute ! Barbara was the perfect hostess and even offered to mail the clothes we left in the dryer back to us. As one ages, we tend to remember the “moments” and forget the “things”🥴. Thank you, Barbara, for transforming your shack into a spectacular cottage and sharing it with us.

We have stayed many times at the cottage and it is a delight. It is always spotless and has everything you could possibly need. We are so grateful that John opens up the cottage to guests and we cherish our family memories made there!

This was a fabulous choice for a weekend wine getaway with girlfriends! The description of the place was spot on! I have been coming to the area for 15 years and always wanted to stay at this place because it looks so unique from the outside. It did not disappoint, and the hostess was spectacular in term of communication. We will be back!

Summer Haven is exactly as advertised. It's a beautiful home, right on the water, with the best views on the Lake. The owners were very welcoming and kind. Their cottage is next to their home and they have put a ton of love and time into their property. It was quiet, serene, and relaxing. The location is close to the Institute, restaurants, and shops. Mayville is by far the best spot on the lake. It's a short drive to Bemus Point and Jamestown. The home was comfortable and provided lots of towels, bedding, and comfort. I gave the cost 4 stars as it's so expensive to rent any property today. If the cost remains the same next year, we'd LOVE to return! Also, thank you for allowing our pets to come with us. They are family and it wouldn't be a vacation without them. Truly appreciate the inclusion of furry pets. Thanks!

Had a great experience, although the original place had frozen pipes due to the chilling weather Diver was able to get me and my family set up close by with easy access to the lake for ice 🎣!

Great central location to wineries. Good places to eat in Westfield. Driveway and front yard well illuminated by streetlight.

Wonderful place right on the water. Wish we stayed longer to enjoy the fire table and deck.

This was my second time staying in the studio, and it was as cozy as I remembered. Lovely lake view (with seating), convenient location, friendly area. Highly recommend!

Wish we had more time to explore the Homestead, was a busy weekend. Probably will return.

Dave and I enjoyed our stay at the Steen Cottage! We were visiting friends who had a cabin down the hill, on the lake, so we spent most of our time there. Even though we didn't use the kitchen, except for our morning coffee, we found it well equipped and clean. All rooms were tidy and comfortable. We can't wait to go back next summer and highly recommend this lovely cottage. Deb and Dave

The stay at David's cottage was perfect! our focus was fishing, so we did not spend a lot of time at the cottage besides sleeping and meals. David was helpful in getting us parked, supplying amenities for our boats and getting us situated. Overall, very satisfied with our experience and would absolutely stay again!

We had four in our party from our church to go steelhead fishing. Although almost all of the streams were frozen over we still had a great time. It was perfectly located and easy to get to restaurants both in North East and Ripley. We had plenty of room for the 4 of us and would love to come back and stay once the ice thaws. We were also impressed--it snowed overnight and they came and cleaned the driveway and entry into the cabin by morning. Great Host!! Thanks for a great place to stay!!
