Lake house vacation rentals in Chautauqua Lake

From check in to check out, the process was seamless. Beautifully renovated lakeside home with ample space for our crew. House was very clean, well furnished and within walking distance of the lake, restaurants and shops. The porch with the four chairs provided an excellent view of the lake, along with the big window in the living room. A very cozy slice of heaven!

This was great for our family. Both bathrooms were clean and the primary bedroom was spacious and neat and clean. The living room and Kitchen we plenty large enough to hang out in the mornings and the deck was great in the evening.

Absolutely gorgeous setting. Loved being right on the lake and being able to use the kayaks. House had beautiful furnishings—so many with a fun nautical theme. Kirstan was very helpful and flexible with us. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

We've stayed here several times. It's a beautiful location where you can see the Allegheny River but not too far outside of town.

Cute quaint little cottage… beautiful location

Kathi’s house is just as described, when you walk in you feel the relaxation of a welcoming trip. It was shorter than we wanted to it to be, but we had an amazing time at her home. It’s definitely a refreshing, peaceful, and relaxing place. The weather was a little chilly so we were unable to use the beautifully landscapes yard, but the grill was clean and full of propane. Quality amenities and more in the kitchen! Such a lovely coffee bar, and comfortable furniture. A great time was had by all, playing board games and not once looking at our phones! Thank you again Kathi for your responsiveness and your courtesy while we stayed in your home.

We've stayed at Chad's home twice now, and it's absolutely incredible! The cabin feels like home, the property is immaculate and the pond is beautiful. This is the place if you're looking to be secluded in nature. We can't wait to plan our next trip out.

Wonderful place!! Home has all amenities with huge full windows & high ceilings overlooking the lake in a great small community of 50 private homes with lovely & friendly neighbors. Proximity to Jamestown & Chautauqua institutions was great. Use of bike paths in adjoining Camp Chautauqua(100 acre site with 100 mobile trailer homes & 20 small fixed homes ) was great Also private tennis/pickelball court available at no cost on premises & large pool on adjoining camp property available as well as 2 boat docks.Great & safe for young children as community is private with no through streets & most kids & people use golf carts. There is adjoining campsite playground on lakefront which is great for young children. Bring a boat or kayak along & use Chautauqua institutions nearby for nightly entertainment as well as day lectures , art instruction courses sailing school, variety of day courses & lectures with great theater & opera productions. only 3 miles away.

We had another wonderful stay at Brenda’s. Beautiful, comfortable and spacious home. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable bed. Beautiful surroundings, especially in fall to see all the leaves change colors. Nice walk down to the lake. We love staying at Brenda’s.

We met in Erie for a family weekend, and Mark’s house had us all in awe! We had a beautiful day of sun and grilling by the lake and a campfire that night. With rainy cold weather the next day, the house was still so full of things to do together! The indoor fireplace and abundance of games kept us cozy and entertained. We would love to stay again!

My family and I had a great time at 23 Elm St. We had 6 adults and 4 kids - there was plenty of room for everyone. There are a ton of activities - the experience really felt like we stepped in to this family's lake house experience. It is clearly a place for families to get together, relax and enjoy each other's company - just what we were looking for. The boat launch is very accessible. The commercial part of the village is very close, but it is not so close that you would ever notice all of the activity in the village. I would go back.

We loved our stay at Pine Haven with our adult children, their spouses and our toddler grandbaby. What a peaceful setting with beautiful lakefront access and a fire pit--be prepared for amazing Lake Chautauqua sunsets! The nearby Dollar General and the Bemus Point Market were handy for a few forgotten items, and we enjoyed coffee and breakfast at the Lake Life Cafe. Kayak and paddle board rentals from Evergreen Outfitters (they deliver! ) provided some water fun as well! If you are traveling with young ones, you'll need to bring a high chair and a pack 'n' play. Also, there's limited space for a large family to sit down together for a meal. We managed to make it work on the deck for eight adults and a toddler, but inside you'll be split between a smaller dining table in the kitchen island countertop/stools. Carol was an incredibly responsive host, and the entire place was beautiful and spotlessly clean! We would happily do a repeat stay!

This cottage was the perfect place for our weekend getaway for myself and some friends for our friend’s lowkey bachelorette weekend. Even with the rainy weather, the cottage was a beautiful place to gather, spend time together, and relax!

Cindy's home was as described. We were extremely happy with our stay. The first night we had an issue with one of the showers. I contacted Cindy. She immediately called and had a plumber on the way. The plumber was very professional and fixed the issue immediately. The home was immaculate and very well stocked. (Probably the best I have ever experienced in our previous rentals). We were so pleased with the central location of the home. We had 5 adults and one 4 year old. Our 4 year old loved it so much he asked me to text Cindy and purchase the home.

We highly recommend this beautiful historic home! Not only is it a beautiful, well appointed historic home with fantastic lake views in a cute lakeside neighborhood, but it was super comfortable for our group. We were able to keep our kayaks down by the community dock, which is only a 5 min walk away from the home, the entire week. The hot tub was great. I highly recommend laying in the hammock and looking up into the trees. We cooked a few full meals and found everything we needed. There are real wine glasses which we greatly appreciated. The neighborhood being a short walk from Chautauqua Institution the week after the programming ended was an added bonus, as all are free to enter once programming concludes. We hope to return to this wonderful place soon!

We loved our stay! The place was absolutely beautiful, very clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The host was kind and welcoming, which we really appreciated. There were a couple of small things—our message about needing more propane for the grill went unanswered, and we did notice some ants during our stay, though we understand that can happen, especially in nature. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d definitely consider staying again!

We love the area. Stay in a lot of places. This one is a GEM. The house, property, and the amenities in this place are OUTSTANDING. They were super hosts. We appreciated their quick response as well. Thanks for hosting us!
