Villa vacation rentals in Castiglioncello

Can't say enough great things about this villa and Cristina as it's host! This was a family trip with 12 of us, and the villa provided more than enough space, bathrooms, amenities, and convenience for everyone. Sleeping arrangements were plenty and comfortable, bathrooms were larger than what you might expect for a European villa, several of them with dual sinks as well, and lots of modern upgrades that made things convenient but nothing to steal away from the absolute charm of the villa, especially the back yard by the pool. We loved spending most of our time there when we weren't exploring inside the city walls of Lucca (which are right outside the front door of the villa, an easy 5-10 minute walk away!) There were also coffee shops, markets, a pharmacy, a bank, etc., right around the corner from the villa for even more convenience. And Cristina herself? AMAZING. So proactive with communication, provided tons of information, and was very kind and welcoming when we arrived. THE BEST.

Six of us spent a wonderful week at Vicky's villa to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. The beautifully appointed house, the stunning views, and the swimming pool were all we had hoped for and more. Vicky is a five-star host. She welcomed us and even arranged to have a meal served upon our arrival. She generously helped us coordinate a catered birthday dinner at the villa. She shared interesting stories and lore from the area and made us feel very much at home. Before we left, she even took us on a tour of the magnificent Medici building under restoration on her property. From the villa, we headed out to Livorno, Pisa, Siena, and Florence, each a manageable day trip through the rolling Tuscan countryside. (Note: The final approach to the villa is over unpaved road; we were happy to have chosen an SUV for our rental.) We are left with great memories and many beautiful photographs of our stay in Peccioli. Thank you, Vicky!

We had a wonderful stay with family and friends, including young children, in Brian's lovely villa. The property has fantastic views and is enormous. Brian was very helpful throughout our stay. He arranged a delicious meal for us one evening. We were particularly grateful that they came up with a special vegan menu for two of our friends, who really appreciated the effort and the food! I would definitely go back.

Great accommodation, well maintained, lots of natural feeling, facilities were extensively furnished and accommodating

The place is really wonderful and perfect for e.g. several couples, as each room has its own bathroom. You can enjoy the sun in the beautiful outdoor area and in the pool. However, you should not be disturbed by frogs that croak at night. The well-equipped kitchen and barbecue make the accommodation perfect. The only downside was the neighbors' barking dogs in the early morning hours, but with the window closed, it's fine. The house is only accessible via a rocky gravel path, but it works if you follow Massimiliano's directions :) Otherwise, you can easily reach cities such as Livorno, Pisa or Lucca from the house by car. Overall, a clear recommendation for accommodation and host!

Genka was the perfect host from start to finish, and the villa surpassed our expectations. Communication with Genka was great - he was quick to reply and gave us all the information we needed on the local area and beyond, even organising a taxi to take us to a local vineyard. The villa is beautiful and well-stocked with everything we needed. Genka had even thought to provide plenty of mosquito repellent for the house! Everything was clean and in good order and someone came each day to clean the pool (which we used a lot!). There are a couple of small shops and a supermarket close-by. The villa is situated on top of a hill, from which you can watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset on the other side of the house in the evening. We will find it very hard not to book Genka's villa every year for our holiday! Grazie mille, Genka!

We had a fantastic stay at Concetta's beautiful home! The house itself is gorgeous and traditionally Tuscan. It is also in the most incredible scenery and sitting outside and taking in the view was an absolute joy. However, by far the best thing about our stay was Concetta and her husband Paolo. They could not have done more to make us feel more at home and it honestly felt like we were part of the family while we were there (including making us the most incredible meal, which I would strongly recommend you do if you stay!) Their hospitality, helpfulness and warmth made it feel like a true escape and I could not recommend it more.

Wonderful stay at Villa Vittoria, surrounded by greenery at the gates of Lucca, a wonderful city. We really enjoyed the tennis court and gym area with hot tub, perfect for relaxing. We didn't use the soccer field and the pool, but the latter is really beautiful and well maintained. Maximum privacy and tranquility: ideal for unwinding. The villa is taken care of in detail and the outdoor spaces are spacious and quiet. A perfect place to rejuvenate, which we recommend without hesitation.

Great place to stay, beautiful, peaceful surroundings and very warm hosts! We lacked nothing. We were here with 7 people for our training camp and had a wonderful time in the villa. It's really even nicer than we would have expected from the pictures. Surrounded by olive trees and only a handful of other houses, you can perfectly unwind - whether by the pool, in the garden or in the house itself. Zara and Mark are very courteous and helpful. We immediately received an answer to every question and also a lot of helpful tips to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Zara showed us the area on a short morning hike. We would never have found these places without them. We will be back for sure.

A Great Tuscan Retreat This Airbnb villa in Tuscany was an absolute gem! Surrounded by stunning landscapes, it offered wonderful views and a peaceful escape. The amenities were just right, ensuring a comfortable stay, including a pristine pool that was cleaned daily. Its location was ideal—within 30 minutes to an hour of Tuscany’s must-visit cities, making day trips effortless by car (we haven’t used public transportation). The hosts were incredibly welcoming, offering good recommendations, including Chef Irene, who prepared an unforgettable Tuscan lunch for us at the villa. This is a fantastic destination for a family vacation. I highly recommend it.

We had a great stay at the villa. It is a little off the beaten path from Lucca, but very quiet. The furnishings are designed with a lot of love for detail and the entire accommodation is very clean. We were happy with everything around. Only the driveway is an adventure and can only be done with a small car.

I don’t even know where to begin describing this place. It was the most amazing place I have ever stayed. If you are looking for a peaceful and private villa with incredible views, then stop looking. This is it !! All of the reviews we read before we arrived talked about how amazing the views are and that you must take up the offer if Paola and Alessandro offer to cook a meal for you. Both recommendations are spot on. The sliced beef was one of the best meals I have ever had, and I often found myself wandering around outside the villa looking at the 360 degree views in all directions. We all felt so sad to leave this magic place. Paola and Alessandro were perfect hosts. Always friendly and with a smile on their faces. It’s a long way from Australia but I really hope we get an opportunity one day to return to this majestic place.

We were a big group of 14 people and the place was perfect for us. It is exactly as described, had all the amenities we needed. I can only recommend staying at this place.

Beatrice is a great host! She welcomed us very warmly and went around the house with us. She also gave us several recommendations of things to do in the area, which we really appreciated. The house was spotless and the exterior layout is breathtaking. The sunrise in the morning was amazing if you get a chance to see it. The house is a little away from the big cities so I recommend a car to make it easier to get around.

We had a fantastic stay at the wonderful Meriggio Barn. The photos don’t do this gorgeous property justice! The house itself is beautiful, classically decorated and expansive space and very well equipped kitchen. All three bedrooms were a great size and the air conditioning kept us nice and cool . The house is set within beautiful rolling Tuscan hills with great views all around, enabling us to enjoy stunning sunsets every evening. The infinity pool was absolutely fantastic - a lot bigger than we expected and we had lots of fun relaxing and keeping cool in the water. The location is great - 40 mins to Pisa and the same for Florence, so we enjoyed visiting those cities as well as getting the train from Florence to Rome. Elisa and the owner Adolfo were perfect hosts, helping us swiftly with any questions we had or recommendations required (the tip to drive and park at the tram stop was perfect, as well as the recommendations for the best local pizza!). As soon as you get out of the car we smelled jasmine. The grounds are so well attended to. Beautiful roses, rosemary bushes everywhere! The pool is much larger than the pictures appear. The views are incredible!! It was the perfect place for us and our adult children with significant others. Our daughters boyfriends family joined us from Great Britain and our other daughter got engaged during our vacation in the backyard of the villa at twighlight. We will never forget this place and the very many memories that it provided. The villa was so comfortable with all the amenities. We were cooking outside and relaxing by the pool daily. Giulia provided a special wine tasting recommendation day of arrival and we also enjoyed our favorite wine tasting right down the road at Corbucci. Do not miss this whatever you do!! This was one of our most memorable holidays. A guided tour to the house to which upon arrival I cannot describe the stunning, magical, peaceful view and surroundings! All made us most welcome! The surrounding towns (Callodi, Montecarlo, Pistoia), cities (Lucca) close by (30 mins) and trains to Florence very relaxing. The farmhouse, with great character, was comfortable, cool, and well equipped with many a family feast overlooking the valley under stars swimming. Many thanks to the loyal gardener! Amazing. Thank you for a magical break and we hope to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Giuseppe's. We would definitely recommend it as hub for exploring Lucca and the surrounding area or just relaxing and enjoying the pool.

Beautiful place and so spacious! The kitchen is well equipped with some spices in the cupboard too. There is a nespresso machine and the host left some pods, lovely to enjoy a espresso while taking in the quiet beautiful surroundings. Big bedrooms, pool and table tennis. We only stayed for two nights, would love to come back. It’s perfect

We really had an amazing stay! The location is ideal and peaceful, a real haven of peace in the middle of the Tuscan countryside. The pool is beautiful, with stunning views. The accommodation is very charming, very functional and very clean! Eugenia is welcoming, extremely kind, available while being discreet, and offers good advice. Sabrina and Teresa greeted us at the gate of the villa when we arrived. Showed us around and were very responsive to us with any request during our stay. We had a relaxing and wonderful time. Many laughs, great meals, wine and a wonderful Villa with everything we needed and spectacular views. Thank you Sabrina and Theresa!!

We felt completely comfortable with Pina. She is a super warm host. The house is ideally suited for many people. Our highlight was cooking pasta together with Pina and using the pizza oven. The outdoor area is beautiful and much more spacious than can be seen in the photos.

We had a great stay here. The location is excellent, both in terms of the amazing view and how secluded it is, and in terms of how close it is to drive to nearby towns like Volterra and San Gimigniano. The pool and the spacious terrace were the highlights for us, as we wanted to relax and unwind.
