Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Brewster County

The Blue House is a soulful and creative retreat. Full of quirky touches that make you smile. Everything in the place is there for a reason. The inside has everything you need, and the 3 porches invite you to experience the wonder of the natural beauty all around. Our host, Cynta, is a guide and a friend to all. This is our second visit, and I hope not our last.

Clean and charming home, perfect for our weekend trip!

Had a great time. LaNetta gave us good insights into local items of interest and we really enjoyed ourselves. This provided a very good home base for us to visit Big Bend. We enjoyed using the gas grill every night to cook dinner after a long day adventuring, and the AC was a delightful reprieve. Everything was very clean and in good working order - and the outside bathroom added a dash of difference.

Excellent base camp between Midland and Big Bend. We fell in love with Reata Restaurant and we went for dinner all 3 nights of our stay. Highly recommend visiting Big Bend National Park as well as the scenic drive up north 118 through the Davis mountains. We had an amazing trip and a great stay in Alpine

We had a wonderful time. Jason’s studio is convenient to BBNP and BBRSP. A very peaceful place to watch the sunset in a very geologically varied setting with a great view of the setting sun to the West and the Chisos Mtns to the East.

The home in Marathon was a perfect base for exploring the Big Bend area. Spenser was proactive in providing Indio the rental and the area and he was quick responding to any questions we had.

This rental was perfect for our stay. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Great place for a reasonable price.

When we travel, we have to have a full kitchen due to dietary restrictions---it's nearly impossible for us to eat at restaurants, so I was excited to have a full kitchen! Sometimes you can only get a full kitchen in a larger place, and it's just the 2 of us, so that was a plus. We enjoyed sitting outside in the private courtyard, and enjoyed a glass of wine by the firepit and watching the stars come out. The house is conveniently located, so easy to find, and easy to get back to after exploring! Alpine was the perfect hub for us, allowing us to explore Ft. Davis, Marfa, and Big Bend over our 3 days there. Also, the temperature ranged from about 32 to almost 85 while we were there, but we were able to keep the house comfortable. Fluffy towels, plush resort style robes, and good beds made for a great stay. And the chilled beer mugs in the freezer were a lovely surprise! We'd stay again!

Very comfortable & perfect accommodations for a perfect weekend.

We travel to Alpine area once a year. We always like to stay in the heart of town and at this location. There has been a lot of changes in the last few years so we are lucky that the lofts are still available. It is a great location for all the surrounding activities (Big Bend, Marathon, Marfa, Ft. Davis) as well as walking distance restaurants and bars in the area. The lofts give you a feeling of an apartment as opposed to the ordinary hotel. Nice bed and large bathroom. Sitting area with all the kitchen amenities you need to include stove & full fridge! Clean too! Outside area is nice too for just a hangout for coffee in the morning. The only thing is we had to turn off the outside lights each night since it was blaring bright in the room. A couple of the chairs were a little worn & not able to sit in but plenty other spots otherwise! They have made a welcome area to just chill if want to. Covered parking near the room. We will be back!

My travels often take me thru Alpine and I love to stay here whenever I am in town. It has just the right amount of amenities for me, comfy bed, a fan, and well worth the cost!

We had a blast. It was amazing to stay in a tipi, beautiful location. If you do stay there it does get cold but we didn’t mind it we loved it. The heating blanket didn’t work and they do need better heaters. Others then that we loved it. You have to remember it’s a tipi it’s not a hotel. Fun fun fun.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Jean & Richard's Texana Cottage. It was very welcoming, homey and comfortable. Without a doubt the best equipped kitchen in any airbnb we have seen - and some delicious treats to go with the local coffee. There was local information in the cottage plus a wealth of books with much information including history, wildlife and flora, geology and Big Bend National Park. (And of course regional cookbooks!) We would undoubtedly look forward to staying there again.

Considering the remote location of Terlingua, the accommodations were very nice. They stay turned out to be the ideal spot to visit Big Bend national Park. I would stay there again if I needed to do so.

Very happy with my stay. Easy check-in process and the room was exactly as stated with a nice kitchenette. Although the walls were thin, it was made clear in the description and shouldn't be an issue if you have the air conditioning on. Highly recommended.
