Lake side house rentals in Big Lake

This is our second stay at this property and we love it! It’s quaint and cozy and so reasonably priced! Cameron is SO easy to work with and extremely accommodating! We’ll definitely be back!

The Backwater was an amazing location for our girls' getaway. We love the water and the outdoors, and the cabin provided the perfect combination of natural surroundings and creature comforts. Most of the weekend was spent on the screened-in porch, listening to the birds and frogs. There are multiple comfortable and beautifully decorated indoor and outdoor gathering spaces; we needed more time to enjoy them all! The location is quiet and peaceful, and we even enjoyed watching a fawn walk through the yard. The house is beautifully decorated with unique and interesting items that serve as conversation starters. We even found a circus book containing pictures of our family's old circus posters from years ago! The scavenger hunt was great fun, but we didn't manage to find everything on the list. Sarah is an amazing host. She responded to questions quickly and provided everything that we needed. The kitchen is well-stocked. It's also a short drive to town for any forgotten items.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this cabin! It was fully equipped with everything we needed and more—every detail was thoughtfully considered. The location was perfect: peaceful, scenic, and close to everything we wanted to explore. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. The amenities were top-notch, and the views were simply breathtaking. Whether we were relaxing inside or enjoying the outdoors, everything was just perfect. The hosts were incredibly attentive and responsive, making sure we had a seamless experience from start to finish. Highly recommend—this place exceeded all our expectations!

Great cabin - perfect lake views. First day we fished off the dock and caught so many fish we lost count. We also took the kayaks out a few times and even caught a northern pike. Definitely will be back. Sarah was quick to respond when we had questions.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! We brought our 3 month old baby and it was perfect! The bedrooms upstairs were secluded, quiet and dark -easy for naps. Bedrooms were spacious and the beds and linens were soooo comfortable. This truly was the perfect layout! The kitchen was spacious and appliances worked wonderfully! Very nice and cozy. The weather wasn’t great, but the dock provided plenty of fishing and we actually never even put our boat in the water. Laura was very responsive and helpful! There were instructions posted on the washer/dryer that were very helpful and thorough. We loved it so much we already rebooked for the same time next year!

Beautiful home with a beautiful setting. Host was very nice and responsive. We met the owner and he was wonderful, inviting, friendly, and funny. We had a fabulous stay.

The only complaint I have is the lake is very busy on the weekends and there is houses being built all around during week. It was very noisy during the week. At the same time I loved it so much I didn’t want to leave.

The house is very well equipped, clean and has a great deal of wonderful character. The hosts were very attentive, friendly and quick to respond. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to others!

If you have a car this place is great. Very convenient to I-394 and Hwy 169. Steven is very responsive and made sure everything was in order. Would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time at Tamara’s beautiful cottage. Everything inside this little gem was perfect —the furniture, the decor, the appliances, the bedroom, the front porch. We absolutely loved the location and had a great time walking and biking around the lakes, and also just hanging out on the porch drinking some & listening to music thx to nice BT speaker Tamara was a perfect host, made us feel very welcome immediately. We will definitely be back!

We had the most magical stay at this home! The house itself was absolutely stunning—beautifully decorated, cozy, and everything we could have hoped for to make our holiday perfect. The hosts went above and beyond to make it feel like Christmas. They even left personalized stockings for our kids filled with thoughtful little gifts, which absolutely delighted them! It was such a heartwarming and unexpected touch that made our stay truly special. Thank you for helping us create unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to come back!

Such a lovely place to stay while working in office for the week. Loved the communication and the location was perfection. Really amazing hosts! 10 outta 10! Highly recommend!

This is the 2nd time we stayed here and we absolutely loved our time spent at the cabin. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Again my husband commented on how well he sleeps on the mattress in the main bedroom. Kara was responsive and helpful. We ate our anniversary dinner at Jack n Jim's Food and Liquor in Dueln/Foley. It was so delicious and we will definitely go there again. We always enjoy the Palmer House Bar and Grill and they never disappoint. We hope to book a time to go to the cabin in the summer and fall. We had a good three-night stay at Cecilia’s place. Communication was great, and Cecilia even arranged for us to check in early. Everything was as described.

We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely return to Beth’s cabin. It’s hard to believe such an incredible lake experience is just about an hour from the Twin Cities. The cabin, while cozy and charming, had everything we needed. The backyard setup offered a stunning view of the lake and made for the perfect evening meals and hot tubbing. Just a small note for future guests: if privacy is a top priority, it’s good to know that one bedroom has a curtain and the other has a sliding barn-style door. It didn’t affect our stay, but something to keep in mind depending on your group.

We stayed here for our wedding at Reeds and Rushes. We loved that we could stay the night before our wedding, too, so we didn't have to drive early in the morning. It was the perfect location as it is super close to the venue. Kelli was great with check-in and very responsive.

We had a great stay at Brandi and Kevin’s rental. The home was very clean and we could definitely relax during our stay. Amenities were very nice and the owners were quick to respond to our communications. We noticed some traffic going past the home but we were not bothered by any traffic noise. The home is located in a very peaceful and wooded area. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

My second time staying here. Last time was a year ago. Improvements were made over the last year and the place was kept in great condition.

Had a wonderful stay. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Clear, easy instructions for check in and check out. Fast response when we had a question. Probably, the best kitchen, at an airbnb, I have been to, yet. Cookware was great and they had measuring cups, measuring spoons and basic spices. Bathroom was clean. Bedrooms were nice sized. Would recommend!

This place was perfect for hosting my family visiting from abroad - the lakefront cabin showcased a Minnesota getaway, from breakfast out on the deck viewing the lake, to boating, and even catching some crappie out on the lake. Everyone loved their stay, and I really appreciated how well-stocked the home is with towels, blankets, & loads of dinnerware so we could have some family meals together easily. Very thankful for Ethan & Jennell's wonderful home & pontoon boat that left my family so impressed with Minnesota!
