Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Alappuzha

Varun’ place was a well-run small hotel right on the shore of the backwaters in Kerala. There was a pool, many different areas to relax with a book. Canoes were available to paddle down stream. Varun was very helpful in arranging transportation for us, recommending activities and pointing us in the direction of a special art biennale which happened to be taking place in Kochi while we were there. The restaurant had a nice blend of Indian, continental with vegetarian options. We are planning on staying here on our next trip and highly recommend it. Gregory and Michèle

Female travelling alone in India and fear not, the people here made me feel so safe and welcome. The constantly smiling cleaning lady , Edison for his amazing knowledge, Prakash for tending to everything & helping me plan my trip to Munnar, and the chef, my god the food was amazing!!! I wrote down the recipes for almost everything I ate ♥️ Would love to bring my family next time:) 🇮🇳♥️🙏

There are Airbnb hosts, then there's Allwyn who steps it up a level. We could not have been looked after any better. Nothing was too much trouble and his job as host is one he is proud to take seriously. His wife Jency's food is to die for and if you can, try and spend an afternoon cooking with her. Perfect place to relax and moments from a lovely quiet beach. You will not be disappointed.

The host is very nice. He is helpful and very responsive. He is friendly. I gave a a suggestion to keep water dispenser and can in the hall and he pretty much immediately booked them online for next set of guests. Made us feel like it is our home. For the property, parking is a minor issue as it is street side and it is a narrow street. But, not many vehicles pass through that road, so we can manage. We safely parked our 7 seater on the street. He also has contacts for activities and stuff, so you can ask him before searching everywhere.

Our stay at Peter’s heritage villa in Mararikulam was really lovely. The room is sparkling clean and spacious; retaining traditional touches but is modern where it counts (ie. bathroom). Special shout out to Mohanachan, who was extremely hospitable (even through his limited English). My only suggestion would be to enhance the garden - this would create an ambient atmosphere around the villa. All in all, a great stay!

Mary Grace and JL were fantastic hosts. We stayed for 3 days and I would fully recommend this place. She made us great breakfast, suggested a few wonderful eating places, arranged taxis and even helped us get our clothes washed. Her husband fixed my and my mother's glasses free of charge. It was a very easy and relaxed atmosphere and we made other friends there as well. Thanks Mary Grace and JL for your hospitality.

Anshad and his wife were incredibly sweet and welcoming. Their hospitality was top-notch, serving the best homely food. They even allowed our photographers to capture our wedding pictures. Total value for money – a must-visit if you're near Alleppey! :)

We had a wonderful stay in our little Bungalow in Alappuzha. It was so comfortable and cozy and we loved our semi out door shower. We had 2 evening meals cooked and one breakfast which were unreal. The cottages are central to everything we wanted and Tony & his lovely wife guided us to what we wanted to do in the area. Thank you. We would definitely stay again. :)

Host was amazing,really humble people. Very tasty home cooked food. It was a great stay. Whole family was really friendly and helpful. Food is must try . Location is also great walking distance from beach.

The house directly on the beach was fantastically beautiful! It's super quiet and there are hardly any people on the beach. The days were ideal to relax and unwind after many days of travel! From our room we could look directly onto the beach. The restaurant was also super nice to sit in the evening, with lighting and right on the waterfront. The Prawns Mango Curry is perfect! The hosts and staff were very thoughtful and kind. When we checked in, we were even greeted with a refreshing drink. By the sea we could see dolphins from afar. We would come back anytime!

Great rooms with balcony and peaceful environment .The breakfast was delicious .rooms and bathrooms were well maintained and clean.the owners were very friendly and nice. Definitely coming back again.

I stayed at Achayans homestay for 2 days of September 2023.The room was very clean and host's family were so friendly and caring.I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place.

This is quite simply the best homestay we have ever visited (we are seasoned travellers and have stayed in many). Laiju, Rani and their 2 daughters Leona and Ceona are the most welcoming hosts we have encountered during our 3 month visit to India. We had the pleasure of spending 2 weeks with them and were welcomed into their home from day one as family rather than guests. Their home is spotlessly clean, large and airy with lots of outside space to relax. The bedroom is very big and the A/C an absolute must. Rani is an excellent cook and provided us with varied and copious breakfasts and evening meals. She is very attentive of guests’ culinary requirements and spice level (we love spicy food but Rani would have happily reduced the spice level had we wanted). Meals are taken with the family which adds to the homely touch. All the family speak good English and are well educated - we had many evenings discussing our different cultures. Our main reason for visiting Allepey was for me to have a 2 week ayurvedic massage treatment - Laiju arranged this for me and even reserved a tuk tuk for me for the 2 week period. Whenever there were any local events taking place, we were invited to join the family to attend. We joined the family for a beautiful picnic on a remote island (food, of course, prepared by Rani). An added bonus in India - Laiju serves ice cold beer!! We will definitely return here and would highly recommend this little gem to all.

The place is in a quiet and peaceful surrounding with marari beach in a walkable distance. Room was worth it and 3 people can accomodate. There is also a garden area where we can chill. Overall it was a good experience.

It’s a great place to stay. It was the best experience staying there. This place is very well maintained.. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. i loved the ambience. There is a restaurant within the same compound, which serves really good food. I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again.

We stayed at this beautiful place for days when we were travelling in Kerala. The house is nested up next to the beach in a very peaceful location. This homestay is hosted by a couple who were always on their toes to help during the stay. Welcome drink was a nice gesture and delicious breakfast was complimentary. All I have to say is that, the stay was amazing! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay close to Marai beach. Thanks for hosting us!

Sinu’s place was spectacular. As a host he is very responsive and great at communicating. He gives a-lot of time and effort in attending the guests personally which is impressive and important when you come for an experience in an offbeat place like this amazing beach place. Was able to do a-lot of activities learnt a-lot about the place because of him. The property stands out, neat clean and easy to reach. The cooks there is a gem and the staff is so helpful and friendly Overall worth every single penny!

It's a nice new house. Very neat and clean. Host stays in the ground floor and all the three rooms are on the first floor. There is spacious living room and balcony in the front and back, both with scenic views. Vijeesh is a good host who is always available on call and very helpful. He also offers tasty home made food at an additional but nominal charge. This place is highly recommendable and we will love to come back again in the future.
