Monthly Rentals in Yucatan

I spent 10 days in Alicia's quiet, cozy Airbnb. It's a great budget studio apartment, with two issues that stop it from being perfect. First the good: The unit is in great condition and has a well-equipped kitchen, with a blender, coffee maker, microwave, a fast induction cooker, and a drum of drinking water with a pump. It's a very private space, with lots of natural light, in an excellent location: in a quiet neighbourhood between downtown and a major shopping area. It's a pleasant 15 minute walk to multiple malls and big supermarkets. It's also a 5 minute walk to a big pharmacy (Guadalajara) and a mini-supermarket (Dunosusa), plus frequent buses going to the Centro. Alicia was very nice when she checked me in, and always very responsive to messages. The only downsides were: The wifi, a bit slow and with a weak and unreliable signal (needs a repeater), not suitable for voice calls; and the weak shower, which made it hard to really wash off. Otherwise, it was a very good stay.

Jill and Martin are an excellent hosts. The place is clean and comfortable, and Jill was always readily available to answer any questions I had about the area, or even order Uber for me to get around when I initially arrived because I had phone issues. This is a quiet place and ideal for someone who wants to walk on the beach and take a swim, especially early in the mornings, which I did quite often. Nothing is perfect, so my only recommendations are: this is a quiet town if you need the experience of a busy downtown you will need to take an Uber or Taxi to go to either Progresso or Merida Centro for a more lively nightlife. Also, it gets hot near the beach towns in this area, so to enhance your experience I would consult with the host on the AC usage time frame( if there is any). I enjoyed Jill, Martin, and a couple of other guests that were staying there during my visit...These are super friendly people to hang with by the pool while having a couple of cervezas!

Charming! I didn't expect it to be very spacious, we felt right at home, the place is very cozy and the garden is the heart of the house. The bathroom was too clean! The area is quiet and you can sleep well. If you are traveling by ADO, the location is very convenient as it is very close to the station. The room delivers what it advertises. We did not use the boiler since at night the water was a good temperature due to the Merida sun and in the mornings with the heat a cold water shower is not bad at all. We left very grateful to Itzel for her flexibility and kindness. We would definitely come back.
