Stratton House Holiday Cottage

We had an excellent family stay at the property. We were welcomed to the property by the hosts, and the wood burner was running so it was nice and toasty on arrival. The hosts had also kindly provided some tasty home made biscuits and muffins. The property is spacious, well equipped and well maintained. Burton Fleming was ideally situated for us for days out (Hunmanby gap, RSPB Bempton Cliffs, Burton Agnes Hall, Sewerby Hall). The village has a duck pond as well as a play area, which were ideal for exploring with a toddler.

Dunster Lodge Cottage

lisaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely homely cottage a short drive from Lincoln. Peter the host was very responsive and communicated well with us throughout. We were allowed access 2 hours earlier than the allotted time which was great. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay including a welcome pack of breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausages, milk, bread butter and Peter’s own home made honey. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, particularly the wood burning stove and the outdoor area where we could watch the rabbits and pheasants every day. I would recommend this delightful cottage to anyone coming to beautiful Lincoln. There is so much to see and do!!

Review of an Excellent Cottage in the Lake District My recent stay at a cottage in the Lake District was absolutely fantastic! The property exceeded all my expectations in terms of comfort, location, and amenities. Nestled amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of the area, the cottage offered stunning views of the surrounding landscapes, making it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The interiors were cozy yet modern, with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and immaculate cleanliness throughout. I especially appreciated the attention to detail in the decor, which added to the warm, homely ambiance. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after days spent exploring. One of the highlights was the outdoor space—a lovely garden area where I could enjoy my morning coffee while soaking in the tranquility of the countryside. Standerd King room with en-suite and mountain view

Fantastic place to stay in the Lake Distric. We went with our own car and there is private parking at the place itself. It is close to the main beautiful towns, lakes and mountains of the district, fitting every plan you might have around the area. We cannot speak about public transport from our own experience. Stuff was so welcoming, communication was so easy and they were giving us advice on the possible plans around the area, making us feel at home. We will definetly come back on our next visit to the district.

Whitby B&B with parking and continental breakfast

MichaelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I stayed for 4 nights. Helen gave me a very warm welcome and went out of her way to make my stay enjoyable. Daisy the dog was always excited to greet me.The room was comfortable, the bed comfort excellent and the shower excellent. The continental breakfasts were delicious and plentiful with fresh croissant and pastries, yoghurt, muesli, granola, fresh orange juice, and fresh coffee, and they were delivered to the room. I had access to a small fridge and coffee, tea and a kettle in the room. There is a Lidl across the road, very handy for provisions. I have stayed in many b&b's in Whitby, but Helen's is the best.

Breakfast was generous and it was great to have access to the dining room to use in the evening (and other times) when we wanted to. The city centre was easily walkable and it was also easy to get out by car to other places that we wanted to visit.

It was brilliant to get to stay with Marianne in her family home. She was very welcoming and friendly and showed us around her home and all of the amenities. Once settled in we made the short walk into the centre of town. We were able to come and go as we pleased. Marianne provided a delightful continental breakfast which was generously sized and set us up very well for the day. We shared stories and it was great to learn about eachother. As someone new to Lancaster, she also gave us some helpful insights into the area. She was a natural host and very sweet and accommodating. Thank you 😊
