We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was beautifully decorated and well equipped, making us feel right at home. The area and scenery were beautiful, making for the perfect relaxing stay.

Amazing host who went above and beyond by decorating the place with happy birthday banners and balloons for my Mums stay for her 60th birthday. The place has so much character and is in such a perfect location

Thank you for having us, we loved the peaceful location of your cottage, the delicious lemon cake and stunning views. The dog field was perfect for my spaniel, she loved racing around the paths and through the long grass, it was also the ideal location for us to enjoy a drink and a bit of reading in the sun. We got up for the sunrise, as times had kindly been provided by Jacqui, and it was a stunning morning where we enjoyed our coffee outside and spent the time with hundreds of birds including woodpeckers, swallows and bull finches flying around. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and both hosts were welcoming, both in person and on email.

We absolutely loved our stay at Debbie and Stephen's beautiful cottage. It's set right in the middle of the Yorkshire countryside with easy access to the A19 and views of the Kilburn White Horse from the bed! They also have a woodland on their property which our dog frolicked in like a land dolphin and completely adored. The cottage was so warm and cosy, exactly what you need to reset the batteries. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we'll be back!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful cottage last month while we were down visiting family. We arrived to an easy lockbox and we were amazed by how stunning and spacious it was. There was everything we needed while staying there and it was fully equipped compared to most air B&B we have stayed at. The garden was super spacious and our boys loved playing out there. The kitchen/diner stole the show and that's where we spent most of our time. It's perfect for families or small groups to hang out and socialise. I have already recommended the place to family and friends and we will certainly stay again. Thank you for such a pleasant stay. We absolutely loved it.😁

We had the most wonderful weekend stay at this charming cottage! From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful escape from everyday life. The cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the cozy touches you could hope for. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking and the beds were incredibly comfortable. It was quiet and private, with gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside and castle. Communication was smooth and easy throughout. Would highly recommend.

If you like Quiet, clean, comfortable, walks, good village pub, every where an easy drive from Scotton….You will love this cottage. We had a lovely relaxing time here our Whippet loved it also. Holly & Alastair are excellent hosts, we would definitely recommend staying here.

Had a lovely weekend at this cottage for my partner’s birthday. Hot tub was gorgeous, even better in the rain. House was beautiful and having the chickens running around outside was fabulous. Marisa was the perfect host. Answered questions quickly and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely cottage.

3 Railway Cottage is a fantastic base to explore the amazing beauty of North Yorkshire. The cottage is located a 20 minute walk from the centre of Pickering but is in a really quiet and private location. The only exception of course is the opportunity to wave at the heritage railway trains that pass at the back of the cottage a few times a day which is really amazing, especially if you wave from the comfort of the hot tub! I can’t recommend this location highly enough, it is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage in a fantastic location - what more could you ask for?

We had a lovely weekend the games room is a perfect touch. A very well equipped cottage. the books and wide selection of board games is a lovely touch. Hot tub is a really good size. The hosts are welcoming and on hand. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

what an absolutely amazing place to visit, with one of the moat picturesque views of the Yorkshire Dale anyone could wish from right in the backgarden. the cottage is spotless and has everything you could want for a break away.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Walking the surrounding area from the house was great and very near to a pub and tearoom which both served great food. The hot tub was an added bonus!

Really enjoyable stay. Everything was perfect, and I would return if I were back in the area. The location was peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful nature — exactly what I was hoping for. The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

Lovely relaxing cottage with everything we needed. Very cosy and relaxing setting with great views from back windows. Enclosed garden for dog or children. Hot tub was a great perk which was well used by us. Rillington village within 10 min walk which had a small shop and a nice pub ( the fleece). Tips for other travellers The fleece in rillington has a nice garden of weather nice and the food was nice too and dog friendly Ham and cheese which is a 5 minute drive the food was very good and dog friendly too although probably too far to walk Lots of walks nearby, we went to dalby Forrest, mallyham spout in goathland and Levisham near Pickering New Connie’s Chinese in malton was also very good

Excellent stay in Pickering, the house is exactly as described and more! Very well equipped and a real home from home. It is on one of the main roads but as others have said the thoughtful ear plugs made all the difference and we had no problem finding parking every day. This is a fantastic base for exploring the local area. Highly recommended

Fig Tree Cottage was exactly as advertised. Everything was pristine and we felt right at home. Would definitely stay again if ever back in the area.

We have thoroughly enjoyed an all too brief, relaxing stay at Tarrs Yard. From entering the charming cottage, to leaving, one can't fail to be impressed by all that Lizzie and Andy have so stylishly created. The helpful, informative folder inside the cottage provides for guests' range of interests and enables visitors to capitalise on the hosts' wealth of knowledge and experience of the area. We can't wait to return and anticipate discovering more of what this area affords, whilst assured of a restful, peaceful property to daily return to. Thank you to you both for our introduction to North Yorkshire.

Wonderful stay. David was a great, welcoming host, lovely arrival gifts of cake flowers, bread and the biggest choice of hot drinks available I've ever seen! Lovely inside , comfy lounge, wonderful bedding and robes. Great shower. Beautiful outside space. Really pleased with our choice to stay here.

Wow! What a fantastic place to stay. The cottage was a perfect haven for a relaxing holiday. The scenery was breathtaking, and we spent much of the time gazing out of the window at the dramatic weather and wildlife. We wished we could have stayed longer! We had a lovely time, explored the local village, as well as short car drives to Helmsley and Thirsk. The cottage was spotless, with comfortable beds, quality bedding and extremely well equipped kitchen. A peaceful garden with fabulous views. Wow. What a beautiful place to spend the Easter weekend. Sarah’s place is a home from home. It has everything you need to enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the surrounding area. Milk, eggs (chocolate too!) were here when we arrived, a lovely touch. The house was sparkling clean and bigger than the photos show. The pub across the road is ideal for a drink and top notch pub grub. York is 30 minutes to the park and ride (definitely do this to save on expensive parking), but the beauty is the walks around the area. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. A compact cottage in a secluded quiet courtyard set back from the high street. The cottage has everything you might need for a pleasant stay, including a teapot (top marks for this!).
