Beach house vacation rentals in Winterton-on-Sea

There is nothing at all to fault here and everything to praise, from the location (superb views, lovely coastal walks or a quick amble into town), light airy and spacious accommodation (and so private - despite there being other flats in the building we never heard anyone) to the friendliness and helpfulness of Sarah and her family. A genuine treat!

Dunwich is a beautiful seaside village with an interesting history. Beach was good (by North Sea standards but be sure to either have feet like old boots or preferably a pair of swimming shoes. The house is perfect for a family get as ours was with grandparents, maiden aunts, youngish couple and a toddler. Everything you could need and more.

What a wonderful home. Easy to get too, clean and tidy. And only a few minutes walk from the beach. Loads of room in the house as well and would easily accommodate 6. I would fully recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Cromer.

What a great find! Mark was extremely friendly, helpful and a good communicator. The accommodation was a good size for two and very dog friendly. It was clean and well equipped, with plenty of storage space in the bedroom. Unfortunately there was little space in the kitchen for our food and drink, though the fridge freezer was a good size. The large rear windows are quite a feature but on sunny days it did get very warm inside. The rear courtyard is a good size and the BBQ was a real bonus. The bathroom is large as is the shower. As mentioned in the details, the owner’s house does adjoin the accommodation and has rooms above. The local pub, tea rooms, restaurant and nearby beach are great and all within a few minutes walk. Having a Sky box gives quite a lot of TV options. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

the accommodation was immaculate. it was comfortable and cosy . had everything we needed. the views were stunning. although the weather wasn't great we had plenty to do . we spent an evening in the garden which was lovely. and an evening watching dvds we'd not seen in a long time. it was all perfect and we will be returning. 😍😘

We absolutely loved our stay at Margo’s place. The location was perfect & the chalet was pristine. We particularly loved the outdoor pool (which was less than 100m from our front door!) It was so easy to keep the kids entertained with lots to do nearby. We were sad to leave & definitely hope to be back!

Just returned from a weekend break at Kirsty's chalet & literally cannot fault it! spotlessly clean, check in was straight forward and there were some lovely little welcome gifts for us & the kids which were a lovely surprise. swimming pool was a couple minute walk & brilliant.. beach was only a 10 minute walk away and also only 10 minutes to yarmouth pier 😊 100% we will return. We had a lovely couple of nights here. James was great and responded quickly, the house was clean and felt like home, the beds were really comfy too! It’s a great location, the bar on site served delicious food and lots of places nearby to explore. We will be back!

Perfect accommodation for the Family. Busy but not rushed. Swimming pool a fantastic bonus. Grandchildren and myself swam every day. Other adults enjoyed the sauna as well. Didn't travel far from our home to get there but had such a brilliant time it could have been anywhere. Dogs loved the garden and beach. We had a great relaxing holiday at this place. Very clean and tidy place. We had almost everything we needed at this place. The location is just dreamy! Stepping out into the very clean calm beach. There’re a few good eateries around but the Chinese takeaway stands out! Overall this is near perfect 😀

Absolutely wonderful place to stay for me and my family. communication was excellent. Instructions on how to get into the caravan were very easy. The place itself is very comfortable. Spotless and a home away from home. There was not one single issue whilst we were there! The location of the caravan is perfect for the beach. Beds are comfortable and plenty of space inside and outside the caravan! Thank you so much!!

Outstanding cottage, home from home, very comfortable with everything you would ever need. We felt very welcome, lots of little extra touches and even home baking, eggs and fruit. Dogs well catered for with their treats too. Easy to get around, definitely recommend hiring a boat from wroxham and food at the lighthouse inn. Can walk to village and coastal path beach easily. Great weekend in a beautiful place with great hosts . Wish I could give it more than 5 stars 🤩

We had the most wonderful stay, the house is absolutely stunning and is beautifully furnished it has everything you could possible need. It is close to the town centre and the beach. Liz is a fabulous host, always replied to any queries very quickly. The only downside is the parking as there is only 1 car park space at the property but we managed to find a space on the road and we totally understand that this is out of Liz's control.

We had a fantastic stay at the Middle Barn! The space was comfortable and well-equipped, making it perfect for our family. Our children especially loved the football table and selection of toys, which kept them entertained throughout our stay. The thoughtful welcome touches—homemade cake, fresh daffodils, and a chilled bottle of Prosecco—made us feel instantly at home. The barn’s location was ideal, providing easy access to several beautiful Norfolk beaches, allowing us to explore the area with ease. Also 15 minutes away from BeWILDerwood. We would highly recommend this stay and hope to return!

Such a wonderful place to stay! We loved Blackberry, it was lovely and homely, clean, comfortable, with all the little extras, and in the perfect location for Cromer and the North Norfolk coast. The house has parking right outside, the location is lovely and quiet, close enough to drive or walk to the town, but far enough away to not be in the hustle and bustle. The beds were lovely and comfortable, the bedding and towels all smelt lovely, and there was loads of space for hanging up clothes etc. The host was wonderful - Camilla was super responsive, checked we were settled in ok, and we felt like she cared about the house and her guests. Thank you for a wonderful trip - we will be back! 💕

we had a very relaxing stay at the coastguards cottage. The house is beautiful and we felt right at home and the surroundings are just as stunning. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking to get away from the business of city life for a few days! There is limited electricity as advertised but we had no issues and were easily able to charge phones and lights.

We had a great time at Maria's place. Had everything we needed - and my little one especially loved the trampoline in the garden (firmly on her birthday wish list now!) Accommodation was immaculate and was ideally located for the things we wanted to do whilst we were there. Would definitely go again.

We had a wonderful time at Emma’s place, the property was beautiful and in fact even better than the listing - the kitchen is done to a very high spec and was fantastic for our group. We thorough enjoyed our stay and it was made all the easier given the very responsive host and clear instructions, we were even lucky enough to be able to check in a little earlier than we thought which was a nice bonus. The location is very good, if you know Southwold you’ll know it can get so busy at times - the property is very close to the town centre but within minutes you’re back in the peace and quiet at the house. Ideal location for enjoying the town and even the harbour, a nice walk either way. The bathrooms have powerful hot showers which was also appreciated!

Lovely house, we really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location - Little one loved feeding the fish and all the toys that were there. Would definitely recommend and will be back next year!
