Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Western Cape

A wonderful stay. My only complaint - we should have made it longer. Next time. Although we were in George during winter, it was a great stay. In summer it must be unprecedented. A unique property. Access is a bit challenging, but worth it. We have stayed in many properties over the years; this would rate top 5. If you're going to the Garden Route and not planned a stop, think about Terry and Kirsten's place, you won't be disappointed.

Colettes place was exactly what we needed to get away from the city's hustle and bustle. It was so peaceful. There were so many toys my daughter could play with and very child friendly which I appreciate. The place was clean and very neat. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

An absolute treasure surrounded by pristine nature on your doorstep. The home is tastefully furnished, extremely comfortable with an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen, a ceiling to floor bookcase filled with wonder and excitement and the wraparound porch allows sun worshippers or shade seekers opportunity to spend every moment outside. The beds are super comfy, and each room showcases the astounding view. Unwind, relax and soak up the serenity.... the only challenge is that you'll not want to leave.

Had a wonderful stay! Was very peaceful and we could totally relax. Eveything was clean and we really appreciated the extra touches such as complimentary champagne! The kol-kol was the highlight!

A group of friends spent a long weekend at the Whale Huys which exceeded expectations. The setting on the mountainside directly above the sea is spectacular and each bedroom has a sea view. The owners have catered for every need. Even though it was winter we had very warm weather and were able to enjoy the heated pool and the hot tub. One could spend all day taking in the panoramic view over the sea and watching the whales in the bay. We received a warm welcome from Rene on arrival and felt at home right away. We hope to be back soon!

Best place we have stayed in Scarborough. Very peacefull. Walking distance to the Hub. Stunning walking trail up the mountain behind (Baskloof trail). The beds are extremely comfortable. Braaipit so well positioned that we could braai every evening even with a strong south easterly wind. We will be back…

Amazing accommodation. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a breakaway. Location is in the mountains, but still very accessible to Robertson town and surrounds. Hosts went above and beyond. Especially since we had a bit of a baboon incident, which they handled very well. Cleaned up, offered to replace our food, and even brought us a bottle of rosé.

It was bigger than I expected. Loved the little courtyard/braai area. Everything was beautifully decorated inside. Everything was easy to find. Was a really nice gesture to find fresh milk in the fridge. Would highly recommend Lana's place! Thank you Lana.

If you're looking for spaciousness and serenity, Sky Light delivers! We were impressed by how roomy and open the room and en-suite felt, providing an instant sense of peace from the moment we arrived. The beautiful design and abundance of natural light contribute to this tranquil atmosphere. With a huge, comfy bed and plenty of space to lounge, it was the perfect setting to decompress and enjoy a quiet, relaxing weekend. Yvonne was the perfect host, super responsive, kind and welcoming! She really put us right at ease and made our stay especially memorable.

I really really enjoyed my stay. It was extremely peaceful and the views were really refreshing and beautiful. The hosts were extra gracious and responded very fast. The mall around was also convenient to get food, drinks and supplies. I would definitely book it over and over again. 1000/10 I promise you.

The Lookout was awesome! It's really walkable to great restaurants and shops, the whole neighborhood is fun and vibrant, but didn't feel too touristy. The apartment was clean and beautiful, the views are amazing! it is on a busy street, so there is traffic noise, but that didn't bother us at all. I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Cape Town. Plus Matt was super friendly and responsive, meeting us there despite our late arrival and giving us tons of great recommendations.

Our stay at Philipp’s place was fantastic. From the moment we booked, we could tell Philipp was an exceptional host. His communication and care were outstanding. When we arrived, he welcomed us personally, helped with our bags, and gave us a mini tour along with much-appreciated coffee recommendations. One detail I especially loved was the beautiful handbook he’s put together with thoughtful restaurant recommendations and personal notes. It was such a lovely touch and really shows how much care he puts into creating a wonderful experience for his guests. Once we settled in, I have to say: impressed is an understatement. I can be quite particular, and this was truly an excellent stay. The apartment is tastefully decorated, with high-quality appliances and thoughtful complimentary touches throughout. Had the most amazing get away with my boyfriend! We loved the adventurous space and the environment. Will definitely be revisiting. 💐🙌

The space was really relaxing and perfect for a holiday. So many amazing books! It was luxurious, spacious, central to everything in the city and we felt really safe. The cleanliness is impeccable. Great for groups who are in sync with bed time as upstairs bedroom and downstairs area can hear/see eachother. The lounge is so comfy for movie night with a huge tv, fantastic couch to comfortably seat everyone with soft throws. The main bedroom has a low door that you need to duck under, which can be tricky for night time loo trips. I'm a circus performer and my partner is a climber so we loved climbing the ladders. Abundant appliances: coffee maker, air fryer, blenders, washing machine and dryer. Joshua was so responsive when we needed anything and just lovely to communicate with. We loved staying here and I hope we can come back some day.

Bruce's AirBnb was perfect! Super clean and close to many shops and restaurants. We received lots of recommendations from Bruce which were very helpful. It was super cozy and we LOVED the balcony where you can enjoy the views with your coffee or tea. I would recommend this AirBnb to anybody visiting Cape Town!

Super convenient and well-appointed apartment for a city stay (I stayed in town for a week long conference as opposed to going my daily commute).

Had a great stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was convenient, and check-in was smooth. Anna is very responsive. Definitely recommend and would stay again!
