Chalet vacation rentals in West Coast

Perfect accommodation for our stay in Arthurs Pass. Walking distance to many of the great hikes in the area, as well as the local cafes. Comfortable beds, full kitchen and utensils and a lovely log burner for the cooler weather. We really enjoyed staying here.

Wow! Brendan's place was absolutely wonderful. So peaceful, so private and just lovely. We loved being able to walk down the Truman trail to the beach at low tide and again to watch the sunset. We loved the rustic decor in the home. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back if we visit this area again. Thank you Brendan.

For me, this was exactly what an Air BNB should be; a place that feels like you are visiting an old friend, that you are staying in a home not just a house. It is an older property compared to some I have stayed in recently but none the worse for it; well equipped with everything you would have in your own home. The location has reasonable access to Arthur’s Pass an Tussocklands and is right next to castle hill. Perfect areas for tramping, climbing and skiing. The hut was spotless, beautifully designed & equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thoughtful touches, such as cozy furnishings & well-placed amenities, made us feel right at home. The location was perfect—peaceful yet conveniently close to local attractions. Waking up to breathtaking views was a highlight & enjoying our morning coffee in such a tranquil setting was truly refreshing. The outdoor space was equally delightful, offering a great spot to unwind & take in the natural beauty. Judith was an exceptional host, providing clear communication & ensuring we had everything we needed. Her attention to detail & genuine hospitality made our experience even more special. What a wonderful little cottage tucked away in a beautiful garden with a great view of the bay. It is nice and private and full of bird song. The trailhead to the Allandale reserve starts just off the road. The place has all you need for a cozy stay and Rosie and Mark could not have been more welcoming. They made me feel right at home and graciously treated me to eggs and vegetables from their chickens and the garden. I would gladly stay here again.

Such a great spot nestled in the forest with access to the Truman Track for those true beach views. While the ocean is within sight on the top level, this is truly a forest house and it is enjoyable to leave a window open and listen to the birds. We enjoyed using the sound system and felt like all our needs were met - would definitely return.
