Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Watauga County

Perfect place! Was looking for a rental that was not up a mountain. Had to be "flat", close to App state and King street/restaurants. East King is seconds from King Street/App State. Flat parking pad. No steps into the back door. Easy to retrieve key. Spotless. My parents stayed at a nearby hotel (used their points) and we had a wonderful weekend showing them all over Boone and the area and had a wonderful time at the house to celebrate both our daughter's birthdays and Easter. Location, location location! Super convenient- we would absolutely rent here again! Owner was almost instantly responsive and very helpful.

The Twilight Cabin was a great place to stay for our weekend trip to Boone and Blowing Rock! The house was about a five minute drive down a gravel road coming from the South, which required some careful maneuvering, but was easy to find right off the side of the road. Located right around 45 minutes from town and an hour from Grandfather mountain, the location provided privacy and quiet while still being an easy trip to nearby destinations. The downstairs bed was comfortable and the downstairs shower had great water pressure and temperature control. No cell reception, but good WIFI allowed easy phone use. Would also recommend Happy Valley Filling station right on the way to the house for pizza and beers!

The best location for a ski trip! Maybe 40 feet to the lift! The parking area for the cabin was great. We used the bed of my truck to store our gear in, it was extremely convenient. The house was great. I love when a house has spices and things we usually forget to pack. Also a fully stocked kitchen with cookware which made eating in very easy. Bedrooms were great and we had way more than enough room. 10/10! We will be back!

Another great Winter stay at Got Rocks! We’ve stayed here many times before and we’ve always enjoyed the proximity to the things we enjoy nearby such as skiing, wineries, groceries, restaurants, etc. there is lots of space to spread out, and everything we needed in the kitchen to make meals whenever we wanted. Thanks again Wesley for letting us use your place!

If you’re debating on clicking that “book it” button, do it! This place was everything as described and more. We were so impressed with the cleanliness, amenities and of course, the creek! We brought our two young boys for the weekend and they didn’t want to leave the creek. We ended up ordering out everyday so we could get back to hang out at the house. They also loved the nightly fire pits. Everything was clean and comfortable and the decor was perfect. It was close enough to civilization to get out and explore but remote enough to get the mountain feel. Would 100% stay here again.

We had a great stay at Jared's place. Everything was very comfortable -- and the bathrooms and kitchen were super-clean, which was great. It was a very quiet community (winter), and the houses are placed for privacy/good views. The club also had very helpful staff, a nice pool, and a good gym. We were happy there was no ice or snow when we were there, as the driveway is steep. A convenient location related to Boone, Blowing Rock, etc. -- everything seemed about 20 minutes away. Jared was also generous on check-out time for us. And we appreciated the very simple check-out procedure.

Have been here with my girlfriend for her birthday. We had a wonderful stay. Its a nice peaceful place.

2nd time staying here and loved it just as much! They take so much time to make sure it’s as cozy as possible with extra blankets, fans, or space heaters. Little things like this make all the difference! Will be back!

This bottom floor apartment was in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood that was close to all the West Jefferson places we like to visit. It was clean and organized. I loved the little “extra thoughtful amenities” that were available if you forgot things from home. My favorite part was sitting on the porch drinking coffee relaxing while two hummingbirds hovered for a minute.

We really enjoyed the proximity to downtown Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway!

Edwin’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway for me and my fiancé. Super close to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. The host also recommended great places to rent gear, etc. We loved it and would recommend their place if you’re looking for a place to stay close to the ski resort!!

A friend and I stayed for a long weekend while attending MerleFest. 30-40 minutes commute to the festival, but very easy. Went to West Jefferson one morning for lunch and shopping. The cabin was just as described. Would love to go back with my husband when the Rhododendron are blooming. So peaceful and beautiful.

Enjoyed our stay. Watuga River out back in a quiet neighborhood. And, the short walk to Grandfather Vineyard made it even better.

Don't know where to get started on this review, there are just too many good things to say here. From the waterfall to the fire pit and The incredible decks overlooking the stream, this place is out of a storybook. Simply put, we had a wonderful stay at John's place! John and Kim are great host and very responsive. I can't say enough about how peaceful and tranquil the property is With more than enough room for any outdoor activities. Very, very satisfied! there's a few notes to add for anyone planning on booking this place... There's very limited cabinet space for keeping kitchen stock / groceries so we had to use counter space for storage but that was small potatoes. Also the road coming in is quite treacherous (at least from a city person's perspective)so be prepared to take extreme caution and avoid driving close to the shoulder. Not complaining and is absolutely worth the drive, Just take it nice and slow and you should be fine.

The cabin was beautiful with everything you needed to relax and take in the serenity of the mountains. The only down side was the steep single lane gravel road that you had to drive on to get to the cabin. The hot tub, sauna and fire pit made the cabin a relaxing get away. Thanks!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed staying at Kendall's home. It was clean, peaceful, and had everything we could have hoped for in a mountain setting.

Beautiful surroundings, a creek rushing by and plenty of decks to appreciate it! We wanted for nothing with plenty of linens and a full kitchen. Tread carefully on the rocky, uneven walk to the hot tub, especially if it's wet!

We came for peace and quiet to celebrate my birthday. It was a beautiful cabin and everything was as described. The peace and beauty got us talking about moving to the area from Florida’s overly crowded stress we live in. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will definitely be back!

We have never stayed at an Air BNB before. This was a great first experience! We loved staying here for our kids spring break. The boys loved the game room downstairs. It was close to Boone and Blowing Rock and lots to do. The directions were very organized. Lauren checked to see how we were doing. I would definitely recommend!
