Surrounded by Water

CarliRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Carries house on Isleboro was exactly what we hoped! It was like stepping back in time with modern amenities. Waking up and having coffee on the porch at the waters edge was an amazing way to start the day. Our teenagers loved the freedom of kayaking around the bay …and we loved that we could still see them! We biked to the store when we needed something, bought fresh lobsters off the boat and had fire on the beach. It was such a relaxing and fun vacation! Carrie, thank you for sharing your amazing place!

"The Roost" Cottage

SaraRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Highly recommend John's place. Perfect location - could walk to beach and get to other areas quickly. John was an excellent host. There to answer any questions, wasn't intrusive, and made a mean cup of coffee. Having the coffee shop next door was a HUGE perk! Place was spotless upon arrival and check in was seamless. I was pleasantly surprised that the place was larger than I expected. The primary suite had a a bonus seating area that I don't believe I saw in the photos as well as a small room on the first floor that had a daybed. We will surely be a repeat customer.

Cozy Lakefront Cabin - Hope Floats

AbbyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Such a wonderful stay! The cabin is quiet, peaceful and super serene. Hosts were great and answered any questions I had about local areas and things to do. The home was super tidy, well stocked and had a great style. We felt so comfortable here and the bed/furnishings and linens were so plush! Our only wish is that we would’ve booked a longer stay! Just gives us an excuse to return sooner. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and we look forward to booking again 💜

Cheerful 2 bedroom cottage with views of cove

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house. It was so comfortable and had everything we needed for our vacation. The location is peaceful and beautiful. Our host was very responsive and had so much helpful information written down for guests. I highly recommend this house for anyone traveling to the Belfast area. We loved it!

Searsport WATERFRONT home with beach access!

MaryRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Beautiful property- very clean with the most well supplied kitchen in any place I’ve ever rented (extra paper towels, plenty of dish washer pods, every spice you could ask for etc), laundry detergent, extra TP, plenty of towels, …all little things that make SUCH a big difference. The home had everything we needed. Lovely porch overlooking the bay with comfortable furniture. Grands loved playing on the huge deck and the large grass lawn. Bob was ultra-accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The location is quiet and close enough to many of the attractions that we wanted to see while visiting Maine, (Camden, Bar Harbor, Acadia, and the Maine Costal Botanical Gardens). The best part is relaxing on the deck overlooking the water and going down to explore the shore. The amazing view of the ocean was a delight by day and the stars were breath taking to behold during the night. We hope to return. Bob, thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Swan Lake Cottage, Private Beach, Mid-Coast Maine

My wife, pup, and I had the pleasure of staying at this property while on a leaf peeping road trip throughout New England. If you're looking for a brand new luxury accommodation, this place might not be for you, nor do I think it is advertised as such. But, if you are looking for a clean, comfortable cottage in a stunning setting literally feet from the water's edge, I'm sure you'll love this place as we did. Our only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer to enjoy the property as we had sort of an aggressive travel schedule. Host was responsive and pleasant. Highly recommend this property.
A wooden dock extends across a calm lake, with gentle ripples reflecting the sky. Two individuals are seen on the water: one paddling a kayak and another on a paddleboard. A dog walks along the dock, surrounded by natural scenery of trees and clouds.

Bohni’s place is exactly what my wife and I were looking for - somewhere out in the woods on the water with a hot tub close to all the amazing little towns we love - Belfast, Camden, Rockland, etc. Bohni was one of the best hosts we’ve ever had. We felt horrible because we got half way home and realized we forgot to take the trash out :( I would highly recommend her adorable home.

Charming Maine Cottage Overlooking Penobscot Bay

steveRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Carriage House, and it truly exceeded our expectations. It felt like staying at a Four Seasons. Lyndsey, the host, was exceptional—her communication was clear and proactive, and she made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our visit. We were in the area to visit family for the holidays, and unfortunately, a messy snowstorm hit during our stay. Not only did Lyndsey reach out in advance to share the challenging driving conditions, but she also made sure the narrow, quarter-mile driveway was plowed, allowing us to safely return that night. As for the Carriage House itself, the photos don’t do it justice. It looks brand new, beautifully appointed, and tastefully decorated. The space is cozy, comfortable, and feels like a true home away from home. There's a short path leading down to a secluded strip of beach by the bay—a perfect, peaceful spot to sit and take in the stunning views. It’s a serene and magical place to unwind. Overall a 5 star stay

Springtime fun at Heart Rock House w/beach access!

Jan ChristianRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The house is stunning. I stayed here for a work trip. The location and the ambience were perfect to get my work done. I wish I had more time to explore the beach area. But my booking coincided with a lovely snow fall. The house is very cozy. The hosts were very responsive to all of my questions. The interior decor is lovely. And I slept really well on the master bedroom bed. I’d love to know the brand the mattress is. Thank you so much. I look forward to returning on a leisure trip when the weather is warmer. But the snow is absolutely lovely.

Classic, adorable cottage by the seaside.

ErinRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We absolutely loved staying this beautiful, cozy house right by the water. In the morning I’d wake up and watch the sunrise over the water from the living room - so peaceful and beautiful. Perfect location - we could walk down to the river trail or into town in a matter of minutes (even during a snowstorm, which we had during g out trip, ha). We loved the house itself. The bed was insanely comfortable! We slept better than at home and we had everything we needed. We loved looking over the photos of Kerri and family’s world travels (I especially appreciated the picture from Egypt - my home for five years! ❤️). Kerri was super responsive and kind and gave us all the info we needed, answering questions in a matter of minutes. We felt very lucky we found this - the perfect spot for our Belfast stay. I highly recommend and if possible will absolutely stay here again the next time I visit my family in the area. 10/10

This is a little slice of paradise. I came here to do nothing, essentially--read & swim for a few days in beautiful, quiet surroundings. Diane was immediately welcoming with a warm greeting and quick tour. You have privacy here, but if you need anything, she is right next door. I couldn't recommend staying here more highly! Thanks, Diane! Andrew

Charming Farmhouse on Lincolnville Beach

BenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Wow! This place was incredible. First, pictures just don’t do justice to how beautiful the view from the sun room is - We spent so much time watching the ferry and ships come in! The house is so spacious and though there is no set up dining room table, the table in the garage is more than adequate. Also fantastic location! So close to so much, even in the winter when so much is closed. The kitchen was full of whatever we needed and Laura is a super duper fast responder and super accommodating host. We traveled up for a Christmas family meet up, and Laura even set up a tree for us! We traveled with 4 under 7 and they all had a blast. The house had enough space to perfectly fit our group even when it was too cold or rainy to go out. I imagine this house only has more charm in the summer and we really hope to be back. Thank you Laura, we cannot recommend you enough!

Beautiful Cottage on Island Bluff & Beach

AbbeyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We feel so lucky to have gotten to spend precious time together as a family in such a beautiful setting. The photos really can’t do it justice—it feels like you are just surrounded by stunning views. Islesboro offered us the quaint little island experience we were hoping for. All of the folks we encountered were very friendly, especially our hosts, Tom & Susie. Our kids loved exploring the beach and playing in the cool, clear water. On misty days, we were so at home in the cozy cottage, and never ran out of interesting books to look through. This place has quite a formidable library with something for everyone. I truly loved the aesthetics of this vintage cabin. If you are looking for R & R or a very special place to work on or ponder a creative project, this is a wonderful setting. We really can’t say enough nice things about our experience—we were so comfortable and relaxed. We so hope to come back someday. Thank you Tom & Suzie, for sharing this lovely piece of heaven on earth.

Unique, Secluded, Beach House with private Island

KristenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The home and scenery were picturesque. When we weren't visiting Acadia, we had a fantastic time combing the rocks and beach, and even walking out to the island. The eagles made several appearances for us. The living room space was everything we wanted it to be and more, with the huge windows and comfortable circular sitting area. The views were simply spectacular. All of our family was happy and comfortable with our stay.

Oceanfront Home with Great View

MaryAnnRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The Belfast Beach House was a comfy delight. View is spectacular. Host makes efforts to contact you and is totally available. In all the homes we have rented, we had never had one as completely provisioned! This is not a one towel per person, “buy your own everything” rental! What a pleasant surprise. Location is great base for touring the area and there are some outstanding restaurants in town. We would definitely return, if vacationing in Maine again.

Seafront Cottage with private beach

KateRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was such a treasure of a stay and one of the best trips I've had in a long time, thanks to the joys of this beautiful home. It's located along the coast and near the adorable town of Camden, Maine, which we also fell in love with. As soon as you see this house, you will fall in love and walking in the front door to the view of the bay beyond the windows is an experience. The house had everything we needed and more, the beds were very comfortable, the fireplace was easy to use and such a treat, and the kitchen was well-stocked and more spacious than the photos make it seem. Tobias was a fantastic remote host, providing all sorts of recommendations and checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They ensured our walk was shoveled immediately after a heavy snow and their family who owns the cooking school next door even offered us a tour during their off-season break. I cannot wait to come back with my mother and sisters.

Camden 4 BR w/ private tennis and freshwater dock

MikeRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Overall, Deb's place is very nice and served well as a home away from home. It was the best Airbnb that I've ever rented. The neighborhood is quiet and the road that runs by the house has little traffic (it's a dead-end). The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. It takes 10 min to get to downtown Camden. On the downside, the furnace had just broken before we got there and so it got a little cool. Further, we could not get the jacuzzi to work and the flooring is a little beat up. But, the positives drastically outweighed the negatives.
