Beachfront vacation rentals in Maine

Perfect location. Parking space right out front of the cabin. Quiet street. Felt safe. Picnic table in the back of our cabin. Less than a minute walk to the beach. We were able to walk to the pier and didn't have to drive at all for the time we were there. We stayed in Cabin #6 and it was a perfect size for myself and sister in law. Jason let us keep our car parked at the cabin for a few hours after checkout so we could spend a little more time at the beach and not have to drive and find parking somewhere else. Would def. rent one of the cabins again.

Carole was a pleasure to stay with. She was always responsive, and had a lot of great recommendations for what to do. Her place is absolutely beautiful, and staying at it was one of my favorite memories. I hope to come back some time!

We had a wonderful weekend at the cottage, it was the perfect getaway for our trip to Bar Harbor! The location was ideal: tucked away from the busy tourist spots, offering peace, quiet, and beautiful views of the bay. We especially enjoyed exploring the shore during low tide and cooking kielbasa over the fire while overlooking the water down the hill. The cottage was very spacious and comfortably fit three adults and a small dog. Just a heads-up: the spiral staircase can be tricky at night, especially if you need to use the bathroom, but it wasn’t a big issue for us. The kitchen was fully stocked with a gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge, and freezer everything we needed to prepare meals. The bathroom had plenty of towels, and there were extra sheets available as well. Amy was super responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Bar Harbor was about a 35-minute drive, Walmart around 18 minutes, and a Dollar General just 2 minutes away for quick snacks or essentials. Overall 10/10!

First time renting on Airbnb, it couldn’t have been a more perfect experience. The cozy cabin on the cliffs of Maine was beyond anything I could’ve imagined. Stephanie & Heather thought of everything; welcome snacks, dog treats, water, things to do,etc. They even had binoculars, we used on a bald eagle diving into water. Being able to use their kayaks (no charge), made packing & planning much easier. The peaceful surroundings & natural beauty made it easy to disconnect & relax. We saw so many jellyfish in the ocean and they were beautiful! On check-out morn, Stephanie messaged us to say we stay later in day because no one was checking in today, it was the nicest day. That extra time meant everything, we ended up leaving around 4pm with no extra charge. The level of kindness & hospitality is rare & so appreciated. This stay was absolutely unforgettable, we will 100% be coming back. Thank you, Stephanie & Heather, for creating such a peaceful, thoughtful, & welcoming escape.

Just the perfect cabin. At the end of a dead end road at the end of a small cove. The cabin is on a rock promontory with water on 2 sides. And the water is steps away from the cabin. We only saw a couple kayakers over three days and hardly heard any people. No motorboats. No loud sounds of any kinds - save the Ospreys that circled the cove. My partner is a birder and saw a few new birds from the front porch. The cabin reminded me of my grandparents cabin - very cozy, everything you need. The fireplace heated up the whole cabin. The bed was super comfortable. We hope to come back again!

I could write a book about how wonderful our stay was! My 6 year old and 2 year old had plenty to do. Our hosts provided canoes and life jackets to paddle the inlet at high tide and see the little waterfall. There was corn hole and croquet, fire pits on the beach, and we didn't feel like we needed to leave the whole time. Everything was there for us, and we just brought our food. They took us to clamming and were able to provide anything else we requested. Crossing the creek at low tide was a breeze after they guided us through in our Toyota Corolla Cross. We'll be back and probably with more guests to enjoy the other cottage. This is a dream spot for a vacation!

We had the most magical stay at Camp Moonbud! Amy and Dana were incredible hosts- the best of the best! They were warm, responsive, and full of great local tips. The cabin felt welcoming, spotless, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The lake was perfect- safe for our kids (11, 8, and 6) to swim and play independently, with tons of floats, kayaks, and toys. It was such a warm welcome to Maine, and really set the tone for some much-needed family time. We would have stayed longer if we could. Can’t wait to return!

Lisa is a great host, and her place is very comfortable. I stayed a couple months with my dog while working in the area, and she was very accommodating. I would not hesitate to book her place again if ever in the area.

Kristin's cottage is a light filled cottage that is updated, clean and super comfy. I loved the location and how quiet it was as well. The addition of a pool was also such a nice to have. I will definitely be booking again soon. Can't wait to make this my every summer vacation spot!

A great spot tucked away!! House was cute and as shown in the pictures, is right on the water and has some great views! It rained the majority of the time we were there so didn’t get to take advantage of all the outdoor amenities, but would have if better weather! Host was very friendly, communicative and responsive!

We had a wonderful time! Going during off season was very peaceful and quiet will definitely book again in the future!

Stefano's home was absolutely fantastic. Perfect location for three couples. Close to everything and completely private and peaceful. It was lovely waking up to the sounds of the ocean each morning. Perfectly clean and tidy and had everything we could have needed. We can't wait to book again!

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

Wonderful place to visit. Close to the beach great parking and many great places within walking distance of the room. Everything was better than we hoped and we can’t wait for the opportunity to go back in the future.

Julie’s place was very nice and very clean. The location was great, right across the street from the ocean. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was even a small basket of treats. Julie responded very quickly to any messages we sent. We would highly recommend this place.

Excellent location! Right on the beach. Beautiful gardens. Bird feeders gave us some view of the wildlife. The indoor porch was a spectacular place to sit and surround yourself with natural light. Roku TV allows you to easily connect your streaming platforms. We appreciate the kitchen basics provided.... basic spices and oils are a nice touch and very helpful. Very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our weekend escape to Belfast. The lodging is nicely located, an easy walk to town. Wonderful spacious place. Had everything we needed.

I've stayed at John's place for 2 years now and it is a trip we always look forward to now more than any other vacation. This house is private and peaceful right on Maine's beautiful coast. Couldn't ask for anything better and very grateful to stay in such a beautiful place!

A great place to weather a storm! We were greeted by a rare nor’easter so we weren’t able to hike around much but we enjoyed having coffee and looking out the windows at the gorgeous view. There was a bit of a snafu with the cleaners that take care of the property, but Brian was very responsive and apologetic and offered multiple solutions. The bidet in the bathroom downstairs was a bonus!

We had a great stay! The location was perfect and the hosts were very welcoming. Definitely would consider coming back.

A cozy cabin nestled in the back country of Maine! Absolutely gorgeous view of the lake, mountains, and sunset! Cabin as described. Nicely decorated enjoyed sitting out by the lake enjoying a fire and sunset after a day full of hiking at Baxter! Comfortable beds.

I had a great time staying at Tom and Cindy's Airbnb with my family. It was peaceful and the pond was beautiful. The home was very clean and very well stocked. It made cooking easier which we did a bit of during our stay. I highly recommend Shelby's Cafe which is not too far from the cabin. The drinks (alcoholic) were also a hit. The service was exceptional and the food was good. The owner gave us free cupcakes for the adults and children! We visited Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, which are our favorite spots (about 2 hours from the cabin). The weather was about 50-60 degrees during the day and the crisp air felt amazing. The Botanical Gardens in Boothbay was also very nice (about 2 hr from the cabin).I think going there at night would be even more amazing to see the lights. It was a family friendly attraction. They have a garden just for the kids with a sandbox, water play, scavenger hunt, and a variety of play houses, and games. Very nice stay!
