Vacation rentals with lake access in Maine

Enjoyed a wonderful weekend here with our family (5 adults, 1 child, 1 dog). The house is very comfortable & beautifully updated/decorated. The setting is even better in person than we were expecting with an expansive lawn perfect for playing games. We had read other reviews about the neighbors having free roaming pet rabbits and saw them quite a bit. Fortunately our dog is a good listener and left them alone but could prove challenging for other dogs depending on their temperament. The lake was gorgeous and the location within one of the coves felt quiet and private while offering easy access to the rest of the lake via boat, kayak, etc. Enjoyed sitting on the dock & picnic table by the waters edge. Appreciated all the kayaks, games, toiletries & kitchen items provided as well as the large deck with grill & the firepit with chairs. Conveniently close to the boat launch, grocery store, restaurants, gas station, etc. if you need to run out for anything. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great week at the cabin! The view is amazing and it was so relaxing. Courtney was very responsive and attentive. Highly recommend for a cozy getaway in a beautiful setting.

My family loved our stay! The house was beautiful, peaceful, and right by the lake. There was lots to do at the with all the kayaks, canoes, paddle boards available to explore the lake. We spent a couple of days exploring Acadia, but enjoyed just staying at the house enjoying the scenario. James was also a very responsive host.

Me and my friends had a lovely time at this lake house, the beds were comfy and there was more than enough room for sixteen of us. The place is very well taken care of and you can tell there is a lot of thought and work put into the home. All the amenities were amazing from the chair to the sauna everything worked great and the hot tub was to die for. We loved our stay and would 100% come again.

Our family had a fantastic time at your stunning home. The pictures didn’t do it justice! From the stunning views to all the wonderful amenities, we couldn’t have picked a better place to enjoy time with our family. Relaxing on the deck with our dog, kayaking, going in the hot tub - it was perfect. Matthew was extremely attentive and responsive to all of our questions. We can’t wait to return! It exceeded our expectations!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful lakefront home! The house is spacious and well-stocked, with plenty of room for everyone to relax, including a great kitchen and big dining table perfect for shared meals and games. The private access to the lake was absolutely incredible, with a dock, beach area, and fun water gear like kayaks, a paddle boat, and floaties. Falling asleep to the sound of the water lapping and hearing loons call at night was truly magical. The property feels very private and quiet, and the host and local manager were incredibly warm and responsive. It’s a pretty remote area, so best to come prepared with groceries and a plan to fully unplug and unwind "at home." Lake life at its best!

We had a great time at Boyd Lake. Beautiful spot for swimming, kayaking, fishing, etc. The house was awesome, with modern kitchen and everything you need to relax. Very cool to see the loons swimming by.

Robert’s place was the perfect getaway for me calm, quiet, and peaceful. Everything was perfect, the space was cozy and neat, it had everything I needed for a few days away. Quick drive to the harbor with lots to do if one chooses. Hoping to make it back there soon.

It is a beautiful and serene setting just as described with chirping birds at sunrise and gorgeous sunsets. Roger is a charming host and a wonderful storyteller. The apartment is also close to several towns offering good shopping, restaurants and cultural venues.

This is a great place to stay, even better than it appears in the photos. It was not just clean, it was immaculate - and for an extremely observant nurse - that was awesome. The unit had easy access with a slight gradient path and only two steps - which was very helpful for us as seniors. The firm bed was very comfortable. Barbara was responsive and thought of everything, including having delicious specialty coffee for us - Thanks. She even had a cooler in the closet for us to use when we went to Acadia National Park. Like I said, she truly thought of everything. If we return to this area of Maine, we would love to stay again. We enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at Tim & Joanne’s was great! We’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area. The hosts are very friendly, accommodating, and responsive. Anytime we had a question they were quick to help. The place itself is very cozy and we felt very comfy. The only thing we wish is it were a bit closer to Mt. Abram, which is where we were skiing, but that only applies to our situation. Overall it was a great place to stay with great hosts!

What an amazing, beautiful, private spot! Jean is an incredible hostess! The property is so quiet and peaceful. The king-size bed was very comfortable. We definitely want to go back!

Kurt and Jackie’s place is great! There were awesome restaurants and coffee shops in the area and it was a very nice drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia national Park. The cabin itself was perfect for me and my boyfriend and the view of the lake in the backyard was beautiful! We would love to come back!

Thank you Joe and Misty for a wonderful stay! The cottage #6 was adorable and perfectly fit our vacation needs. The directions to the cottages are very clear. It was stocked well with all the basics just as listed in the AirBNB ad and very clean. The lakeside setting is beautiful and perfect for sitting next to it and reading all the books I brought. :). Joe and Misty are great hosts and readily available if needed. Would definitely do a return stay in the future. 💗

Robert was an incredibly responsive, kind and proactive host. The space is exactly as described, comfortable and Robert has thought of everything. The surroundings are amazing, we loved listening to the loons, watching the chipmunks & even got a glimpse of a beaver one morning. Kayaking was great, with the equipment and dock easy to access and use. We visited Acadia and loved having such a quiet respite after long days exploring the beautiful area. Highly recommend staying here, already thinking about our next trip back!

We had beyond an amazing time staying at this cottage. It was so peaceful and beautiful - my boyfriend spent most of his time fishing and grilling - the dogs had a blast in the water jumping off the dock. It was very close to all the near by beaches and near a lot of shopping plazas.

Loved our time here! It’s about a 40 minute drive from Portland and then 5-10 from Brunswick. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect, exactly what we needed to relax! We loved coming back from Portland and grabbing dinner and gelato in Brunswick, such a nice way to unwind from a long day. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again :)

Tucked in the woods of Orrington, Maine, this lakeside retreat offers a rare kind of stillness. Facing south on the water’s edge, it provides serene views of both sunrise and sunset that frame each day in quiet beauty. Wildlife is abundant, loons echo across the lake and deer move gently through the trees, yet the home is only a short drive from Bangor’s restaurants, trails, and conveniences. We initially booked for three nights but quickly extended to four. This place invites lingering. It’s easy to settle into the rhythm of the land, the lake, and the quiet. Inside, the home is curated with care including a lovely vinyl collection; late night jazz and morning classical set the perfect tone for slow coffee and reflection. The host was responsive and thoughtful throughout, making everything seamless. We will absolutely return and recommend this home to anyone seeking not just a place to stay, but a space to truly be.

If I could only use one word to describe our stay in this wonderful cottage it would be: magnificent! We came from NYC and needed a tranquil place to decompress which this cozy cottage was perfect for - the scenery and view over the lake is simply stunning and the cottage has all amenities needed to either enjoy an amazing stay inside (when the weather is not too great and rainy) or simply envelop yourself in nature. K was also an amazing hostess and super responsive to all my questions and a wonderful person to be in touch with! All I can say is book this place, it is worth every penny, you will not be let down!! Hopefully we can one day come back again, and I’ll definitely recommend this place to my family and friends if they ever need a place in Sebec. Thanks so much again to both K and her husband
