Cabin vacation rentals in Waldo County

What a wonderful spot. So quiet and peaceful. The lake is absolutely beautiful and you could hear the loons calling in the distance. The cabin was very easy to get into and comfortable. The kayaks were great to access and we had the lake completely to ourselves. The kitchen had the essentials and coffee in the morning looking at the lake and seeing the sun hitting the trees was a perfect way to start each morning. I’d recommend folks bring some water for drinking as the tap water had a bit of sulfur taste to it, but I would happily stay here again. Very easy location to get to Acadia and Camden. Overall amazing few days in Maine.

Our stay in Sharon’s camp overlooking Halfmoon Pond was wonderful. It was peaceful, the setting beautiful and the camp equipped with everything, and more than, we needed. We had plenty of towels, linens, blankets. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked one to two meals a day and had everything we needed. We never needed or wanted anything that Sharon didn’t have. Sharon was a great host. She checked in with us, quickly offered a solution when mother nature created an issue, offered suggestions on places to eat, shared where we could find the closest grocery store, and, most importantly, created a comfortable home away from home. It’s a little slice of Heaven that we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at again, and again and again. [We visited from a small town in East Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains.]

Extremely cozy classic Maine lake cottage, great location, and very clean. We had a very peaceful weekend and had so many places to see within a 45 minute radius. We would definitely come back and hosts are wonderful.

Incredibly peaceful and gorgeous location. Very quiet and the docks on the lake and the views were perfection. Loved the drive in on the camp road and while there were other cabins close by, we never saw or really heard anyone else. Which was great. Would absolutely book this place again!

Such a wonderful stay! The cabin is quiet, peaceful and super serene. Hosts were great and answered any questions I had about local areas and things to do. The home was super tidy, well stocked and had a great style. We felt so comfortable here and the bed/furnishings and linens were so plush! Our only wish is that we would’ve booked a longer stay! We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect, the house was well stocked and we felt right at home. The dogs loved the dock on the lake. Listening to the loons on the porch while drinking our coffee was truly special. We would absolutely stay with Lauren and Warren again!

A wonderful quiet cabin on a peaceful lake. Nicely furnished and all around very comfy.

The location is magical . Loved waking up and seeing the scenery. The trail was really well maintained given all the snow. We've had a wonderful hike to the pond seeing only nature, not one person on the trail. It was fun stopping and trying to identify all kinds of animal tracks along the path. We are thinking of coming back in the spring or summer. Thank you for muffins Toby and Peter!!!

Lori’s is exactly what we need while visiting family over a holiday. She is very gracious to host us over Thanksgiving as the last occupants of the year. Even during a snow storm, her place is cosy and beautiful. This is our second year coming, and we love it every time. We would recommend it for those looking for a charming getaway from busy life. My husband and I came back to Maine to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, this cabin was the absolute most perfect place to do so! The photos are so beautiful, but arriving and walking into this space was unmatched! You can tell how much attention and intention is put into this cabin. I have never felt more relaxed, safe, and comfortable in an Airbnb before. I’m a bit of a germ freak and can’t sleep in most beds that aren’t my own but that wasn’t even close to being the case here! The space is SO clean, including the bathroom! For a detached space I cannot believe how cozy and clean it felt. Our fur baby came with us, she’s a medium sized dog, the space was so accommodating for her! There were treats (which she loved) and food bowls for her! The property is the perfect size to allow your fur baby to stretch their legs too! Indie especially loved the adult bean bag chair, we could not keep her off! We will 100% be coming back, so grateful for our stay. Thank you for having us!

Fantastic stop on our way up to Acadia. Only wish we had booked for two nights instead of one! the wood stove was super efficient on a very chilly October night. Close to the Pour Farm and Odd Alewives breweries, which were awesome. And very quick drive to Camden for food options and excellent ocean/mountain hikes. Very clean and cozy Maine camp. We hope to be back!

A cozy, private and safe getaway in the woods. I was warm, comfortable and fell asleep to the sound of owls. I enjoyed building fires in the wood stove. There's a nice stock of children's toys and books, and games for all ages-a nice touch. Make sure you've got clear instructions on how to use the outside shower and you're good to go. Sarah's son Graham was very helpful when I had questions. Staying at Sarah's was the exact right place for my retreat. I hope to return. PS: eat breakfast at Ralph's in the nearby town of Brooks. The co-op next door to it is charming too.

This cabin was even better in person than in the photos. We had a couple of issues upon arrival, due to the weather, but we were able to sort them out with the host (Ben) over the phone. The cabin was remarkably clean, warm, and had all of the amenities we needed. Our dog enjoyed walking around the property in the snow, and we enjoyed a cozy weekend together. I highly recommend getting breakfast at Ralph’s cafe in Brooks- one of the biggest highlights of the trip.

The cabin was as advertised, location and accommodations. Nice and peaceful, isolated and dark at night. Bring your head lamps and flashlights and enjoy a great night’s sleep and rustic lounging around accommodations.

Kristi’s place was not only a great and easy to find location, but the view, yard and dock were stellar! Having 2 full bathrooms and very comfotable beds was also great!hard to find in a small place. Nice deck too and a hammock to boot.

Masha's oasis cabin was just what we needed this weekend. It was so peaceful and private. No lights- just stars, no wifi- just connecting with each other. Masha was such a thoughtful host as well and made sure to check in with us to make sure we didn't need anything else. The cabin is also about an hour and a half from Acadia which makes for the perfect day trip!

Kim's place felt like camping out, in a great way. We love the little three stringed dulcimer and cooking hot dogs on the campfire. The beds were comfortable! Thank you, Kim!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house. It was so comfortable and had everything we needed for our vacation. The location is peaceful and beautiful. Our host was very responsive and had so much helpful information written down for guests. I highly recommend this house for anyone traveling to the Belfast area. We loved it!

We had a very restful three days at Rod’s lovely cabin. This is a fantastic place to stay for those seeking to experience the midcoast area for what it is (without all the tourist traps and hustle and bustle that you’ll find in Bar Harbor area). Don’t sleep on this gem!
