Our newly built, modern cabin offers a secluded and relaxing retreat in Union, Maine. With the high ceilings, open floor plan, and many windows, guests are surrounded by natural light and forest views. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy fireplace, and an outdoor grill and fire pit. Walking trails connect the cabin to our farm next door, where you can visit with our horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks. We are just 25 minutes from the Midcoast's shops, restaurants, and beaches.

The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting seven unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1,300 acre preserve and Newbert pond. If you need a time out and desire to embrace nature's way, Smitten is the perfect place to experience a memorable getaway.

Solar lights, (we are off the grid) gravity fed kitchen water, gas-hot water outdoor shower, outhouse overlooking the forest. Hiking trails everywhere! Swimming across the road on Hobbs Pond. If you book in November, there is a possibility that if it gets cold, you will not have a hot outdoor shower and will use water from a 5 gallon ceramic container for drinking and cooking.

Nestled in 6 acres is the secluded Mountain side cedar cabin. Breweries nearby, Hiking, lakes, and Fishing. If Sasquatch is booked, check Bigfoot Retreat 150 foot away. Master bedroom /main level is separate from loft quarters upstairs. Custom built cabin all cedar inside with a cozy bedroom on the main level. Loft has 2 twin beds and a pull out couch. Lower level has a full bathroom with tiled shower. The cabin is on a Private road at the top of Coon mountain .
