Cottage vacation rentals in Volterra

Davide and Annalisa's cottage was absolutely gorgeous, exactly as the pictures showed. It was the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy our last week in Italy. Breakfast out on the patio with the birds chirping and surrounded by nature was a great way to start the day. Davide lit the heater for the hot tub for us and we were able to enjoy a wonderful evening relaxing. Davide and Annalisa were full of good recommendations for restaurants and local places to visit. The cottage is within driving distance of so much - Pisa, Florence, Siena and of course San Gimignano just to name a few. All the amenities we needed were included, the WIFI was great and the cottage was very comfortable. I would highly recommended staying here and if we are ever in the vicinity we would certainly stay here again.

Lovely, peaceful, spacious place with a kind and generous host in Simone. He met us as we arrived and used his wagon to help move our luggage into the cottage. Big rooms, lots of space, many handy supplies in the kitchen. Good shower, comfortable bed. Enough bench space in the bathroom to put your things. Simone was really helpful with local recommendations for restaurants and where to park the car. One day he made a delicious tart and bought us in half. Would recommend staying at his place.

The stay at Sara's house was really very pleasant. This beautiful, recently restored house overlooks a fragrant, flower-filled garden. The kitchen is equipped with super appliances and quality dishes. The beds are very comfortable and the linen is of high quality. There's nothing missing to fully enjoy the vacation. Another thing that makes this village special is the fact that you have to leave the car and get home on foot with a pleasant walk while the luggage travels on the tractor driven by Bryan. far from the noise of the city, I spent hours immersed in the peace and greenery of the woods in the background. Sara and Bryan are thoughtful and welcoming hosts and know how to anticipate every desire. I highly recommend this place if you want to experience moments of true relaxation.

The place is located on top of the hill. It has been a pleasure to stay for a few nights at Federico's place. He has been really helpful when we asked questions, to find the place etc. It is a lovely family house. We did not test the jaccuzi because off season but I guess on sunny days it must be amazing. The view from the house is stunning.

Dreamy and beautiful place! You can't ask for better. A breathtaking view, nothing is missing inside, comfortable bed, etc. Not to mention Elena's warm welcome and the good wine 🍷 she left us as well as a large bottle of water.

Golly where to start - my husband and I are from New Zealand and used to peace and quiet and this is 100% what we were after. We were literally blown away from the moment we arrived and walked up the path of jasmines to sitting in the spa when it cooled off and watching the fireflies and listening to the bells ringing from the local monastery and churches. It was perfect for two people. You will need to be able to cope with a fairly tight drive in! And another word of advice is make sure you have some bug spray as it’s located in an area of rich agriculture and as such the mosquitos are about not awful but they are there.

BOOK THIS PLACE. I cannot express this enough. This beautiful place offers a true sense of peace, spectacular beauty, a fairytale like garden to walk about in the mornings with your coffee (that they provide in your kitchen), a gorgeous heated pool, a massive tennis court, extremely kind hosts, an adorable little outdoor covered area to do your laundry, and so SO SO much more. This place will transport you. You will actually feel like you’re living in a fairytale. A Tuscany fairytale. I choked and teared up on our last day because I was already missing it. It is everything you’re hoping for. I promise.

We had a lovely time at Vito's. Great location, great garden and pool. We were able to enjoy our peace and the place was equipped with everything you need. We'd love to come back.

This villa was so beautiful in a such a classic way. There were 5 of us, 2 couples in the upstairs room and one single in the pull out couch, near the kitchen. Both bathrooms are upstairs. One in the master and the other outside both rooms. We were only there two nights but wished we stayed in this region longer. The property was stunning, the pool was heaven, and the closest restaurant (4 min drive) Uscio e Bottega was the best meal I had my two weeks in Italy. (That’s obviously saying a lot). The local olive oil farm you can walk to surrounded by the sweetest Great Pyrenees’ was such a treat to find. We ended the visit with a tasting at Nittardi which is a 10 min drive from the property. It was an absolute hidden gem of a place rich with history, beautiful grounds, and amazing wine. We how to come back and stay here again’.

This casa is an absolutely spectacular place to stay when in Tuscany - I was amazed by the photos, but in real life the place is somehow even more beautiful and scenic! The hosting is absolutely faultless - we were made to feel right at home immediately with homemade treats, and every arrangement we needed was made super smoothly. Utterly perfect - this was our first introduction to Tuscany and we will remember it forever!

The property was beautiful amd loved the scenery and friendly animals such as the donkeys and horse which greeted us each night. Serena and Mario were exellent hosts and made us feel at home at welcomed. We enjoyed a home cooked dinner with a view and breakfast. Very comfortable rustic farmhouse accomodations. Highly recommend and would love to go back as it is close to all in Tuscany.

We stayed here with our two young adult daughters. The home and the views are just magical! The home was well stocked and provided everything we needed. It very peaceful and quiet. The grounds are stunning and well kept! Only a 15 minute drive to the town of Pienza which had some of the best local restaurants. The pool was very nice to enjoy on a hot summer day with a glass of Rose in hand. We we would stay here again in a heartbeat! You will not be disappointed!

Very nice house, tastefully renovated. Large garden ideal for children and evening aperitif, watching the sunset over the mountains in the distance. Very clean and very functional with everything you need for a great stay. The host family is very friendly and gave us good advice on sightseeing and restaurants to visit. Super

There are so many great things to say about Laura’s villa in Tuscany, it’s hard to know where to begin. The house is so beautifully designed and decorated. The area is spectacular, remote and peaceful but just 30 minutes from the heart of Siena. It was the perfect space for our family of 4. We enjoyed meals on the private patio as well as lounging by the shared pool. The air conditioning worked really well although we didn’t always need it with the cool Tuscan evening breeze. We took day trips to a nearby vineyard and an olive grove, and always looked forward to coming back to the house to enjoy both the lovely interior and incredible vistas and sunsets. I would recommend Laura’s place to anyone looking for an idyllic and comfortable Tuscan retreat!

Our stay was wonderful. The location is stunning, set in the hills away from it all with an amazing view. The property is simple and authentic.

Very occasionally, you arrive at a place and meet people who make you feel so incredibly at home, and that's what Sandra and Cristiano and their B&B do for you. Everything is right, the view, the hospitality, the house, the tasty things in the fridge. In short, a small paradise on earth with 2 very special warm sweet people who we already have in our hearts. The cottage on top of the mountain is in our top 5 most beautiful and best places and Sandra and Cristiano at number 1❤️. My wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon and we absolutely fell in love with this place! The scenery is gorgeous, the view from the cottage did not get old! Very private setting in a peaceful neighborhood. Andrea was a fantastic host, along with the help of his lovely parents. He communicated with me at every step of the way making sure all of our needs were taken care of. Could not be happier with our stay and it made our honeymoon very special.

We spent two and a half wonderful weeks in this holiday home. Both Andrea from Be Home Services and in particular the owners Nara and Nino welcomed us warmly and were always available for questions and very helpful. We liked the secluded location of the house very much - you have a stunning panoramic view and it is largely very quiet despite the neighbors. It should be known that the nearby Villa Ulignano is used as a wedding location. On two weekends, there was live music until the early hours of the morning, which was clearly audible, but did not bother us excessively. It is worth mentioning that the lower floor shown on the exterior shots of the house cannot be used, but serves as a storage room for the owners. The drive to the house is - as already described here - quite adventurous and leads a few kilometers over unpaved, partly steep paths. If you drive slowly, this is easy to cope with.

Concetta is the most lovely host! And the house provided everything we needed. Beautiful, remote area! Would gladly return.

We, a family with two kids aged 7 and 9, had a wonderful relaxing time. We spent about 2 weeks there and took many day trips to surrounding cities (including Pisa, Florence, Siena) as well as more locally located places. We booked the small cottage house in the middle of the complex. It offered everything we needed for our self-catering stay. Two rooms (double bed and two single beds for the kids, incl. Air conditioning for the hot summer days, bathroom with shower, living-dining area, a well-equipped and clean kitchen as well as a cozy covered terrace that offered shade almost all day. The complex is very well maintained by the family and invites you to relax. The hostess was very helpful and a detailed brochure, which the hostess created with great effort, showed us some highlights for the vacation days. We felt very comfortable for the 12 days and highly recommend it.
