Family-friendly vacation rentals in Vancouver Island

Our host was great to deal with and very helpful, the house gorgeous, heated floors and nice finishes, was both clean and comfortable and had basically everything you need. Heated garage was awesome to have to leave our ski/snowboard equipment, hot tub helped the sore legs from long days on the mountain. Gas fire pit on the balcony was perfect for a small apres-ski with our crew. The ski out location was maybe a one minute walk down the road which led to creekside gondola. Ski in was a bit longer walk, maybe 5 minutes but still very reasonable. Approx $25 uber or cab to whistler village was also reasonable. I look forward to booking this house again!

The Homestead is a beautiful home in a beautiful, quiet location with amazing views. The house is clean, and overall is good but has many small annoyances of items that haven’t been well maintained. - Stove top elements: some don’t work, those that do are very finnicky and jump from very hot to cool repeatedly while using - Kitchen sink is near to falling out / disconnecting from the counter - Dishwasher soap door is gone & can’t seem to change settings (but does still clean) - Blinds make a horrible high pitched squeal when rolling down - Window crank handles fall off when using - Shower handles super loose and wobbly - Downstairs toilet wobbles - Hot tub has a broken jet and some buttons that don’t work (but is still hot and bubbles) - Fireplace in photos is not usable

The house was absolutely perfect for a ski week for our family of four. The house was exactly as described and had every amenity we needed for a great trip. The location was private, and within steps of Whistler Village and all the mountain had to offer. Would highly recommend!

We stayed for three nights, and it was absolutely perfect! The house was beautiful, in a lovely location, and had a fantastic hot tub. Everything was super clean, and the beds were incredibly comfy. The kids loved it there! The location was great—very close to the beach, local restaurants, and the Wild Pacific Trail, which you must visit! The lookout points were breathtaking, beyond anything I could have imagined. The host was always responsive and friendly, giving us great advice during our stay. We had everything we needed, and it was such a peaceful and quiet place. Highly recommend!

Easily the best-stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental unit. Great hot tub with an amazing view from the balcony. Walk 50 yards to the ski-in trail location. Nice private drive that's only for the few units on that street, so very little traffic outside. I have nothing bad to say about this place or the owners. Hands-down one of the best Airbnb's I've ever stayed in. If I ever come to Whistler again I hope this place is available, because I would definitely rent it again.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend. Though I wouldn't consider it ski-in as it was quite a walk from the lifts (unless there's a run we didn't know about) it was perfect distance from the Village and had everything we needed to feel at home. Maibel was a top notch host whose friendliness and responsiveness made our experience that much better. My only tip for others is don't count on using the pull out couch (we could feel the springs through the mattress and much preferred the couch cushions).

Parking structure is tight and lots of pillars, corners, and dead ends, just like anywhere else in Whistler, beware if you drive a big car/SUV/van. Living space is not overly spacious just like anywhere else in Whistler, so don't bring too much luggage. Free shuttle service to Whistler Gondola (less than 10 minutes) is very convenient, but you need to cross the street.

Incredibly clean, spacious, modern, and cozy home in a great location. The hot tub and fire pit made for relaxing evenings, and proximity to the beach was great for surfing. Would absolutely stay here again!

What a lovely home away from home, Rhonda has created. It was clean, cozy and really well designed. The neighborhood was quiet and we saw deer every day. We would definitely stay here again.

Close to town, super clean, beautiful views -- a perfect retreat for the two of us.

Our hosts were very responsive when we communicated. The home had very comfortable beds and it was kept clean. Nice fenced yard for our dog and a walking area at back of house, accessible by gate. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard which was bright and sunny with a fire in the evening. The only recommendation would be replacing the coffee pot. It took some time to brew a small pot. Other than that, our weekend was thoroughly enjoyable.

Niki and Neale’s place was amazing and was perfect for my stay On Salt Spring. The property was exactly as shown and was very clean. The location right by Fulford ferry terminal and public transit made for a very convenient trip. On my first day there Neale was nice enough to put a load of laundry on for me and Niki was very accommodating when I needed anything throughout my stay. Their dog Gus is adorable and always made sure to greet me whenever I came outside! I highly recommend staying with Niki and Neale and will absolutely be coming back!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay with Lynna and Dennis. The cottage was just as described, just steps from the waterfront and we enjoyed the private beaches and daily kayaking excursions from the dock. What a peaceful, beautiful and relaxing spot. My only regret is that we could not stay longer.... but we will, next time. Lynna provided very helpful instructions ahead of time about the ferry and reservations. The cottages are both charming and fully-equipped, very clean and everything was as-written. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, both in Westsound (a few) and more options in Eastsound and beyond. I'd highly recommend, and we're already planning our next trip back.

Stunning location on the west side of Ucluelet. The second storey suite had all the amenities needed and the comfort of home. Shoshana and Adam were quick to respond and pleasant to communicate with. The sunsets are breathtaking! Highly recommend and absolutely worth checking out! The provided parking space fit a 3/4 ton truck with some finesse.

We were delighted with our accommodation. The house beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated. The location was great and everything we needed within walking distance. Tofino is a great spot with plenty to do and see.

Really enjoyed the stay! It was clean and had all amenities listed. There’s discrepancies between the Airbnb listing and the physical info book in the room regarding wifi info and checkout time.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Samantha's place! My family loved every moment of it. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore the area and enjoy everything it had to offer. Samantha was incredibly responsive and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

Riley was super helpful and quick to respond. I booked his place for one of my technicians and he really enjoyed the stay. Riley even recommended some places to eat. The tech had an amazing stay and said that the place was wonderful, clean and a great place to stay. I highly recommend staying here!!
