tinycabin b&b--rustic Alaskan charm

MichaelRating, 5 stars7 months ago
What a magical place. Tamara’s cabin was comfy, organized, and very well cared for. All that McCarthy can offer is a short walk (two blocks) from her property. I really enjoyed the solitude and sense of place that being here provided. Couldn’t recommend more strongly.

Kate's place was nice, comfortable and peaceful. Initially, it was a bit chilly but once heater was on it warmed up nicely. Kate is an amazing host, friendly, kind and generous with her time.

Wildflower Suite

HughRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This artsy, eclectic location has a host that is an absoulte joy. We could have talked for hours and she was very accommodating to make our stay enjoyable. The shower was hot and the bed was very comfy which was much appreciated after a long day of driving from Fairbanks. The breakfast the next morning was absolutely amazing with home made items at every turn. In the end our only disappointment was that we didn't have more time to spend in the area. Will definitely be back and would certainly recommend.

Alaska Copper River B&B in Suite

RitaRating, 5 stars33 months ago
We originally booked a queen room with private bath, and were upgraded to a king room as the owners have sold one of their two b&b’s. Lovely room with shared kitchen, living/dining area. The location enjoys a beautiful view of the Wrangell-St Elias range, and we were thrilled to have the clouds lift - wow, awesome. If you’ve never seen a fish wheel, it’s really neat. Just take a walk or short ride from the b&b down to Jeff & Quinn’s - right on the Copper River.

Forget Me Not Suite

SallyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Kate’s place is filled with wonderful, quirky items that make it just FUN! (Example- a toy figurine of Olive Oyle with a can of spinach on the table🥰.) She provided a delicious, healthy breakfast. We took advantage of her washer/dryer which was helpful after a week in the road. Kate is friendly & welcoming. A wonderful stay!

Copperville B & B - Fox Room

CassidyRating, 5 stars21 months ago
John and Betty were very friendly. We liked getting to talk with them about their lives. They made us a nice pancake breakfast and were willing to make more when we ate all of it. We did feel like we needed to be very careful about noise because we were sleeping downstairs from them. But all in all it was a good stay.

Copperville B & B - Wolf Room

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
John & Betty run a true B&B (Bed & Breakfast). We had a great room in the basement with access to the family room. The bathroom was conveniently located right next to our bedroom. We told John what time we would be up for breakfast & it was ready exactly on time! There were several options for breakfast & more than enough food. We had a very pleasant conversation with John & the family while we ate. We would highly recommend staying with John & Betty. We will be the next time we are going through Glennallen!!

Sweet Creek B&B #1

RitaRating, 5 stars33 months ago
Carmen greeted us at 3:15pm when we arrived to check-in and she provided a friendly orientation to the room and area. We stayed 2 nights in Room 1 at Sweet Creek. The space was comfortable and roomy. With up to two other visiting groups, the shared 1 and 1/2 baths presented no access/availabllity issues. Sound could potentially “travel” in the first floor lodging area, but the other guests were very considerate during our stay and noise was not a problem. Light breakfast items were provided; we used cold cereal with milk that Carmen kindly stocked in the refrigerator for us. We had trouble getting the hang of the French coffee press and the means to heat the water, so we bought fresh java at the nearby McCarthy Road Espresso shack. We thoroughly enjoyed the ride on the country road into Sweet Creek B&B, even seeing a beautiful Spruce Grouse along the way. Rain seemed like it would dampen our spirits a bit for our brief stay, but not to be so - we had a fantastic time touring McCarthy and Kennecott with all it’s history and charm. And upon our return, Carmen thoughtfully had the central first floor wood stove emanating a perfect amount of warmth and comfort. Many thanks to Carmen for providing her “sweet” and pleasant place to stay.

Cozy 1 Room Cabin

MicheleRating, 5 stars33 months ago
We had a wonderful time at Sweet Creek B & B. Carmen has built something really special here. Her property is a nature-lover's dream. Many birds are nesting and raising their babies on her property. Fall asleep every night to the sound of the creek. It is close to the footbridge and shuttle to McCarthy, but far off the beaten path, so you can truly get away.
