Vacation rentals with lake access in Upper Peninsula of Michigan

Came to town for work and Lesley and her place were both great! I travel for work 8 months out of the year and wish every place I stayed had someone as helpful and easy to work with as her! I would absolutly stay with her again!

Awesome spot! The house has great spots to hang out outdoors in nice weather, and cozy places inside when Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. Everything you’d expect to have is there, plus more (functional pizza oven, speakers, dog supplies). Located a few minutes from Grand Marais, set back up the hill in the woods with views of the lake. Would have loved to stay longer :)

Our family loved this place. We came up for a quick weekend trip with no real plans and fell in love with this place. It was in a great location to see many different sights. The views at the house alone are amazing. The beds are so comfortable and my kids loved being able to have bunks to themselves and full beds. It was a great place to hangout at night after adventuring all day. We hope to plan a future trip.

The cabin was super clean, and you can tell every detail was thoughtfully planned out. We enjoyed using the backyard for a bonfire and the fully equipped kitchen to make dinners. There is a small golf course about 15 minutes from the house, which we also enjoyed. While this cabin is on the smaller side, the inside feels spacious, and the outdoors definitely makes up for it!

Vern is an excellent host and communicated proactively and clearly. He’s super helpful in case of any questions or concerns that you might have about the stay. The place offers pristine and mundane views of the Sandy lake. Availability of kayaks is a great addition to all this setting. The cabin is a really comfortable place to live in and is equipped with all the amenities with a Starlink WiFi connection. Would definitely recommend anyone who’s looking for a stay in the region and would definitely visit again.

Location! Location! Location! Sitting by the lake for sunrises and sunsets was amazing. The home was charming and we had a marvelous time.

It was a beautiful setting. Attached to the winery but on the back side so we had privacy too.

We loved our weekend getaway at Mark and Wendy’s cabin! The views were beautiful! Also, Mark and Wendy had great communication with us throughout the entire experience.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Angela’s property. So many beautiful plants and everything was so clean and well maintained outside. A real oasis. The room was very clean and the linens smelled so good. I am a germaphobe and I never felt uncomfortable staying there. It was near so many attractions while also being very private and peaceful —we spent every evening sitting on the beach just taking it all in. Can’t recommend enough!

If you are visiting pictured rocks lakeshore and Lake Superior, this is the place. The house is very clean. Rich is very helpful and responsive. Highly recommended

Such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay! Not only was the host responsive and helpful, but the setting was lovelier than I could have imagined. Waking up to have my coffee with the cows just made my morning, and the friendly cats strolling the property made it feel like home. I’d love to come back and spend more time enjoying the sauna, hot tub, and fire pit. The apartment was charming and clutter free. It was perfect.

I’m not sure where to begin.. It was a beautiful stay and a memorable few days spent at the cottage. My kids and I even got to enjoy a magical show put on by the northern lights above the shining Gitche Gumee last night! We had everything we needed and appreciated all of the little touches and amenities. We loved the retro feel and style of the place as well as the location and privacy. We will definitely be back! When we walked in it was very clean and cozy. Just like being at home. The view of the water is beautiful, so many amenities, it was great! I would definitely stay her again and recommend Tom’s place to everyone.

Mesmerizing place on the mighty Lake Superior! This was our second visit to this property and we are going to keep coming back. The view from the house is breathtaking, water is so pristine that you'll want to keep staring at it for hours. You cannot expect anything better in any property in terms of how the place is maintained, stocked with food and everything you need in a home. It was our time for checkout but no one could leave so we requested Danielle to extend our checkout time and she let us stay for over 6 ours. We are very appreciative of that but still had a hard time leaving. We are going to come back again...and again... If you're in Upper Michigan, this is the place you must stay at.

Katie was extremely helpful, providing clear instructions and assistance when needed. The surroundings on the peninsula of the lake were absolutely amazing, though it was a bit far from the snowmobile trails, but we made it work. Trailer parking was good, though tight if you have a big trailer. The snowmobile trails were amazing!

Very nice place. Excellent for 2 couples and 2 dogs. Very well equipped. Very comfortable. Secluded. Nice walks down the dirt roads and to lake Superior. We did not get a chance to walk their trails. We were greeted by many deer when we arrived. Should the opportunity arise, we would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone. All of her descriptions and recommendations are very accurate. Clean quaint fantastic.

We loved everything about the Bhombay Beach House! It was private, cozy, and super clean. We appreciated the full kitchen (coffeemaker/coffee, full-sized fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, glassware, and utensils), since we like to save $$$ by making breakfast while on vacation. Bob was very responsive without being intrusive. He provided extra amenities without our asking (umbrellas and nighttime snacks!). The large-screen TV included Netflix ... lots of DVDs, too. The views of the beach (Lake Huron) from the living room and kitchen were gorgeous. It was too chilly to use the firepit, but we walked the beach on our last day, which was lovely. LOVED being so close to the water! We were just up the street from the ferry to Mackinac Island. We had never been, and it didn't disappoint. Horse-drawn carriages, the Grand Hotel, funky restaurants, lots of bicycles, fudge! Make sure to visit Bob (and Thom's) store, Cottage UP. Great finds! In short, a perfect stay in every way. College and Ricks Cottage is beautiful ! They were both friendly and informeditive . They provided everything we needed and were a phone call away. . We have never been this relaxed on a vacation. We loved the quite and to sit and watch the cargo ships come and go . I love to go rock and beachglass hunting , there was plenty to choose from.
