Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Tysnes Municipality

What a fantastic time we have spent in Trude and Andreas’ magnificent house in Haukanes on Huglo! The charming, secluded and well equipped traditional red house and its quiet surroundings are breathtaking with ever changing views, the greens and flowers, the small cottages, the boathouse, the pier, the boat and of course the sea only a few meters away. Despite some fairly rainy days we (two adults and a youngster of 16) enjoyed a lot the cozy house and had plenty to do exploring the island; hiking the Natur/Kulturstien, “climbing” Høgafjellet more than once, and talking to the very friendly and helpful Huglare. Other highlights included ice cream sessions at the Huglabutikken (with a surprisingly good selection of groceries), the multiple ferry trips to Hodnanes and Jektavik and the hiking on Stord (Stovegolvet). Trude and Andreas are fantastic hosts, extremely fast in answering any questions we had and we would warmly recommend to visit their magic place on Huglo.

Wir haben das Haus spontan gebucht, weil uns die Gegend so gut gefallen hat. Die Antworten kamen immer sofort und ausführlich. Der Vermieter war sehr nett. Alles hat hier gestimmt. Wir haben sogar noch einen Tag verlängert, auch das war spontan kein Problem. Wir überlegen, nächster Jahr wieder zu kommen. Ein Wanderweg geht direkt hinterm Haus los. Weitere sind kurzer Fahrt mit dem Auto erreichbar. Angeln im Fjord. Oder einfach in einer der tollen Ecken im Haus chillen.

It is hard to find words that can do justice to the beauty, majesty and sheer scale of the landscape in this part of Norway. The cabin is fantastic, beautifully appointed and has the most amazing outlook on the fjord. Solveig is a really great host and very thoughtful about your particular needs-we were extremely grateful for some of the support we received to help with our arrival and departure. The pictures of the cabin will not do it justice, it had everything that we needed and was such a tranquil retreat for us. Do plan ahead to ensure that you understand the layout of the local area, timings and use of the amazing ferry services and be aware that the geography provides for some jaw dropping views but driving can be challenging for those unfamiliar with these types of roads. Some good grocery stores available in the wider area, which we were very Impressed with in terms of price, range and quality of items. Norwegians speak better English than English people do and are so friendly

Ei venninne og meg sammen med våre barne leide dette huset i påskeferien 😊Dette var midt i blinken for ungene våre som elsker fisking, leting etter krabbe, skjell plukking mm. Kort vei til lekeplass, butikken om en ville ha en is eller bare en ny sluk til fiskestangen. Verten var veldig behjelpelig og hyggelig! Huset har det en trenger av utstyr, så det er bare å kose seg! Kommer gjerne igjen og anbefales også til andre 🤩

Our stay was amazing thanks a lot !! The place is incredible, super cosy with great landscapes and the owners are really welcoming ! They were really flexible with the check in check out, we had the opportunity to meet their animals, have fresh eggs and bread and they even drove us to the ferry terminal !! It was literally our best Airbnb ever thanks to Geir and his family.

Ein herrliches Häuschen mit wundervollem Blick auf den Fjord. Idyllisch, ruhig, mit kleinem Strand, Ruderboot und allem, was man sonst noch zum Entschleunigen braucht. Wir haben viel geangelt, Fisch gegrillt und abends in der gemütlichen Küche mit Blick aufs Wasser gelesen. Ingeborg hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben. Die Kinder hätten am liebsten den ganzen Tag mit den großen Legoschätzen unterm Sofa verbracht. Es ist wirklich ein besonderer Ort. Schade, dass der Weg von Hamburg aus mit den Kids einfach etwas zu lang ist.

Vi hadde et fint opphold i den koselige leiligheten til Iva. Kommer gjerne igjen ved en senere anledning. :)

Bewertung für Airbnb: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unser Aufenthalt in diesem authentischen norwegischen Haus war einfach fantastisch! Der Blick auf die majestätischen Berge und den beeindruckenden Gletscher ist wirklich spektakulär und hat unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Das Haus selbst ist hervorragend ausgestattet und strahlt einen besonderen Charme aus, der sofort einladend wirkt. Hans, der Gastgeber, war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Ein besonderes Highlight war das zur Verfügung stehende Ruderboot mit Elektromotor, das uns die Möglichkeit gab, die Umgebung vom Wasser aus zu erkunden. Es ist wichtig zu erwähnen, dass der Weg zum Haus etwas Fitness erfordert, da es an einem steilen Hügel liegt. Aber die Mühe lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Alles in allem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen Haus sehr genossen und können es nur wärmstens empfehlen!
