Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Tysnes Municipality

Me and my friends went on a weekend trip there and location was beautiful. Home felt very cozy, peaceful, was clean and spacious enough for eight people. Towels, bedding and toiletries were provided. Beautiful garden and backyard with plenty of places to sit outside to enjoy morning coffee's and evening drinks. Host always responded fast and was helpful whenever we needed help.

Great place for the whole family to get out of the everyday struggle. Recommend!

What a fantastic time we have spent in Trude and Andreas’ magnificent house in Haukanes on Huglo! The charming, secluded and well equipped traditional red house and its quiet surroundings are breathtaking with ever changing views, the greens and flowers, the small cottages, the boathouse, the pier, the boat and of course the sea only a few meters away. Despite some fairly rainy days we (two adults and a youngster of 16) enjoyed a lot the cozy house and had plenty to do exploring the island; hiking the Natur/Kulturstien, “climbing” Høgafjellet more than once, and talking to the very friendly and helpful Huglare. Other highlights included ice cream sessions at the Huglabutikken (with a surprisingly good selection of groceries), the multiple ferry trips to Hodnanes and Jektavik and the hiking on Stord (Stovegolvet). Trude and Andreas are fantastic hosts, extremely fast in answering any questions we had and we would warmly recommend to visit their magic place on Huglo.

It is hard to find words that can do justice to the beauty, majesty and sheer scale of the landscape in this part of Norway. The cabin is fantastic, beautifully appointed and has the most amazing outlook on the fjord. Solveig is a really great host and very thoughtful about your particular needs-we were extremely grateful for some of the support we received to help with our arrival and departure. The pictures of the cabin will not do it justice, it had everything that we needed and was such a tranquil retreat for us. Do plan ahead to ensure that you understand the layout of the local area, timings and use of the amazing ferry services and be aware that the geography provides for some jaw dropping views but driving can be challenging for those unfamiliar with these types of roads. Some good grocery stores available in the wider area, which we were very Impressed with in terms of price, range and quality of items. Norwegians speak better English than English people do and are so friendly

Our stay was amazing thanks a lot !! The place is incredible, super cosy with great landscapes and the owners are really welcoming ! They were really flexible with the check in check out, we had the opportunity to meet their animals, have fresh eggs and bread and they even drove us to the ferry terminal !! It was literally our best Airbnb ever thanks to Geir and his family.

A friend and me with our children rented this house during the Easter holidays 😊This was right in the middle of our kids who love fishing, searching for crab, shells picking etc. Short distance to the playground, the store if you wanted an ice cream or just a new drain for the fishing pole. The host was very helpful and nice! The house has what you need of equipment, so just enjoy! Would love to come again and also recommended to others 🤩

A great location in beautiful nature to fish, swim and lounge your days away. We loved our stay and the house in its simplicity and retro style. Beautiful views that evolve throughout the day as the light and sky changes. Nice friendly interactions with the host!

Review for Airbnb: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our stay at this authentic Norwegian house was simply fantastic! The views of the majestic mountains and impressive glaciers are truly spectacular and made our stay memorable. The house itself is superbly appointed and exudes a special charm that immediately feels inviting. Hans, the host, was extremely friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A special highlight was the available rowing boat with electric motor, which gave us the opportunity to explore the surroundings from the water. It's important to mention that the way to the house requires some fitness as it is located on a steep hill. But definitely worth the effort! All in all, we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house and totally recommend it!
