Two story Lake Superior rental, attached to main home, but with private entrance and living space. Second level sleeps up to 5 with 2 queen beds + futon. Main floor has kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. Speak to host first before booking if bringing children 2-12. Perfect place to begin biking, hiking, water activities, or your drive up the scenic North Shore. Owners live on property with friendly indoor dogs. The home is very inviting and extremely clean. No smoking anywhere on property.

Riverwood Hideaway

This off-grid, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. The cabin itself is loaded with comfort. A full kitchen, propane refrigerator, solar powered lights and a gas fireplace/furnace offer the conveniences of home. There is an outhouse and firewood for the outdoor firepit. You will have to bring your own water for drinking, but we provide hand and dish washing water at the sink. We have coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices.

We are located 4 miles from Gooseberry Falls State Park with the start of the Gitchi Gami bicycle trail and 2 miles from a Superior Hiking Trail head. Walk up 15 stairs to a comfortable, spacious 2 bedroom apartment with balcony. It feels like a tree house with modern amenities. The kitchen has a two-burner ceramic stove top, microwave with oven, toaster, hot water kettle, fridge and coffee maker.

A unique, octagon, cedar log cabin, situated on 40 secluded wooded acres. A short hike over the Sucker River on a storybook foot bridge to a generous deck which surrounds the cabin. You will need to be physically fit to stay here. You must climb a steep ladder to the loft and do a 2ft step to get off the deck to the marshy land below for making a fire. Also bring a sense of adventure! Wildlife is very near. We do not allow animals or smoking of any kind, sorry.

Awesome spot! The house has great spots to hang out outdoors in nice weather, and cozy places inside when Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. Everything you’d expect to have is there, plus more (functional pizza oven, speakers, dog supplies). Located a few minutes from Grand Marais, set back up the hill in the woods with views of the lake. Would have loved to stay longer :)

Scott was an amazing host. His house is so unique and he literally has everything you'd need in it for cooking, entertainment, and relaxation. Such a great place to stay! We wanted somewhere near the North Shore without all the people. We got to experience Duluth, Two Harbors, and Goosebery Falls State Park, while still coming back to a place both peaceful and with amazing views. Walking down to the river had wonderful views of the fall colors. We wish we would have had time for a fire by the river, but maybe next time. We took Deb’s recommendations for dinner and breakfast places, and both were fantastic. The place was very clean and nice, exactly like the description. Communication was simple and easy. Over all a great experience, hope to return in the future.

Viewpoint was enchantingly perfect for our family of four for a long weekend. Our children (6 and 2) were fascinated by the records and CDs, and we had dance parties every afternoon. The bedrooms and game room were perfect for them - table and chairs for coloring, board games and Twister, and a guitar for my husband to entertain them with. The outdoor table served as a perfect stage for their musical performances, and we all loved sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the porch. The grown ups loved the beautiful mug collection, proximity to Fika, easy access to Grand Marais, and the view. I have never felt more at peace than we did at the Virwpoint. This is either our 2nd or third time staying at Greg's place and it is perfect for us. Located in a very peaceful area and near much of what Duluth has to offer us. Greg was always quick to respond to any questions we had and a super host. We would definitely book there again!!
