Fern Valley Forest View cottage is exactly as the name suggests. The cottage is located outside the rain forest with just a stream in between. The cottage is as private and isolated as it gets making it a perfect choice to disconnect from life and reconnect with nature. Periya also happens to be the "not so touristy" part of Wayanad and highly recommended for those who want to skip the noise of the crowd and be engulfed in the sounds of forest, rain, flowing stream, birds, insects and everything that nature has to offer. Sid is a great host, extremely responsivr and helped us right from making us feel at home to recommending some wonderful places to visit, with Gurukula Botanical Sanctuary being one of the biggest highlights which is just a short walk from the property. Looking forward to visiting the property once again sooner than soon.

Great place, surrounded by trees, very peaceful. Good things : 1. The location 2. The property was well maintained and washrooms and linen were neat and clean. 3. Very responsive and good host . 4. Functional kitchen and washing machine was an added advantage . 5. WiFi Things to be noted : 1. Even though the food provided was good and delicious, not many options though. As we visited on Vishu festival, only limited options were there. 2. Vegetarians may find hard to find a restaurant nearby. Overall was a pleasant stay, would definitely recommend.

Our stay at the A-Frame House was nothing short of a serene and unforgettable retreat, a perfect escape from the relentless hustle and bustle of city life. Although locating the prprty prsnted a minor chalnge initially owing to limited network coverage. Nestled in the heart of nature, the property offers an unparalleled sense of tranquility and seclusion. Salman, the host, was exemplary in his responsiveness and hospitality. From the moment we connected, he ensured a seamless experience by anticipating our needs and preparing all the essentials well in advance. A highlight of our stay was the cook's exceptional culinary skills, with every meal being fresh and flavorful. The vegetable stew with dosa for breakfast was especially memrble & cmes highly recom. While the experience was largely exceptional, the house features only one bathroom despite accommodating a large family, and the master bedroom lacked curtains or blinds, with one fan being non-functional.

Happy that we chose the right destination for our anniversary stay. Private place that provided splendid experience during wet/rainy weather. Host was kind enough to allow commercial photography at the place

They took care of everything—from delicious meals to planning out the best places to visit in the area. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail truly made us feel at home. Whether it was helping with local tips or going the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable, they were always there with a smile. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a stress-free, memorable experience!

I had a truly wonderful stay at Bougainvillea! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease. The homestay is beautifully maintained, with lovely touches that reflect care and attention to detail. The surroundings are peaceful and filled with greenery, making it the perfect retreat to relax and unwind. The hosts were incredibly warm and hospitable—always available if needed, yet respectful of privacy. The room was clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, and I especially appreciated the little thoughtful additions that made the stay extra comfortable. Bougainvillea has a charm that’s hard to put into words—it’s not just a place to stay, but a place to feel at home. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a quiet, cozy, and heartwarming getaway!

We had booked this place for a family trip and had an amazing stay. Pros: 1. Beautiful, spacious and well maintained property. the rooms, pool and surroundings were clean. 2. all the listed facilities were available. 3. the property was easy to find. 4. the surroundings are calm and green. 5. eateries and groceries easily available, food delivery by restaurants was also available. 6. Caretaker is available 24x7 and is super helpful, but only speaks malyalam which could be an issue for some. We took google translators help. 7. spacious car parking area, can fit 2 cars. Improvements: 1. There were a lot of Black ants (can't help given the location plus they're harmless, so not a big issue) so had to keep all the food items protected and out of their reach at all times. 2. there were a lot of ants under the mattress in one of the bedrooms but the caretaker cleared it as soon as we informed him about it. 3. some chairs in the balcony and outdoor seating would've been great.
