Nice place. Responsive host. Beach, restaurants, and grocery stores within walking distance. Plenty of wildlife: agoutis, green poison dart frogs, and howler monkeys. Great cell coverage if the Internet goes out.

The location is perfect all the beaches are close by, you have the beach less than 100 meters away and practically for you alone, the beautiful and cozy cabin, very friendly when receiving us, I would very much love the place I would stay there again.

Happy House is the perfect name for this oasis! Our family was so lucky to get to stay there. The property is large and private. The covered patio ( we call it a California room in California) was amazing. The indoor/outdoor kitchen and living space was a great place for our family to relax after many adventurous days in Costa Rica. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable. There were geckos and bugs in the covered patio area but my boys loved that part! The beach is beautiful but there is a rip current right in front of the house but we walked a short distance in both directions and found great swimmable ocean for our kids. It was a great end to our Costa Rican vacation! Thanks Steve for opening up your special space to visitors! Pura Vida!

It is a very nice accommodation, completely close to the National Park, so there is a lot of wildlife nearby, we were lucky enough to be able to see Monitos, a lazy and more species. Very attentive and very friendly, without a doubt if I return to Cahuita one day I would choose them again.

The people at the lodge are wonderful and made us feel very at home and welcome. Breakfast was really good too. We rented bikes from Mister Joseph and the ride to and from town took about 20 minutes because it is a bumpy unpaved rode but also has few cars and ocean views making it a pretty journey. The beach there is very dramatic with lovely sunrises. Isabelle is very active and engaged with the community and environmental projects and is a wealth of information about Cahuita. Roberto is also a gem of kindness and knows a ton about plants and animals.

My stay with Janet was absolutely amazing! Her Airbnb, located right in front of Playa Cocles, is truly special - the perfect place to relax and recharge. Janet was the best host: so kind and always attentive, making sure her guests felt welcome and cared for. Kitty and Gerald were also incredibly sweet, and they made the place feel even more like home. I'll definitely be coming back!

This was by far the best place we stayed at during our trip to Costa Rica! Gloriana was incredible—so kind and helpful in every way. She even welcomed us at 9:30 p.m. after I booked the stay last minute, which we appreciated so much. She gave us so many great tips on what to do and where to eat, and whenever I needed anything, she was always happy to help. The apartment was sparkling clean, smelled lovely, and had everything we needed—including bottled water. There were mosquito screens on all the windows, so we could sleep with the windows open without worrying about bugs. There was air conditioning too, but we ended up not even needing it. It’s not located right in town, but if you have a car, it’s a perfect, quiet spot to relax. We even saw a sloth from the terrace! The only thing I regret is that we didn’t stay longer. I’ll definitely be back one day. Thank you for everything, Gloriana!

The place was great! The cabin was private, surrounded by nature, and a great view spot for animals. The cabin was also very well built and lots of space for lounging and other activities. Benno and his wife were very friendly and helpful for whenever we needed something. All of the restaurants and shops were within a reasonable walking distance and the beach was also very close by. So overall a very great a place and we highly recommend staying here.

We felt at home in the accommodation. From the beginning, we were impressed by the surroundings and nature around the house and were able to discover many great animals and plants. Ursula (mother of Justine) was super nice and gave us many great tips on how to make the stay in the area more beautiful. In addition, she was always careful that we were well and gave us a great gift in which she showed us the queen of the night (a flower that only blooms once a year). We really enjoyed having breakfast on the upper terrace in the morning and listening to the animals. We were able to relax very well here and can wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation. I was travelling with my two children, a 2 year old and a teenager and we had the most wonderful time at his pristine bungalow. Its a little slice of heaven in Costa Rica, untouched and walkable to a beautiful beack down the road. The lighting and views from the terrace could not have been more gorgeous, I am already excite to come back. Ariana and her husband are so kind and always just one text or call away, and will assist you immediatly. Highly recommend.

100% recommended, Nadine was an excellent host, she was very kind to us and whatever we needed she was super attentive, the home is super equipped, very nice, they had snacks, fruits and drinks when they received us; it was a very nice touch. The pool, although small, is really used to the fullest because it is deep, the bed is very comfortable, the only thing is that maybe you don't feel very safe outside the house because it is outdoors, but otherwise it is highly recommended. 💛

Our experience with Kate and this Airbnb was phenomenal, to say the least. From the beginning Kate, who is an extraordinary human, was diligent in communication and making sure we were able to get acquainted in Puerto Viejo and her place. Never have had a more thoughtful host. The place itself is nestled deep within the rainforest of Puerto Viejo, not far from the road of the town of Cocles ( a cute beach town with many restaurants and walkable beaches). Peaceful rainforest sounds, multiple species of monkeys traversing through the property, exotic birds and other jungle animals set the backdrop for the Casita. The Casita itself had a great build quality with warm wood construction, warm lighting, a comfortable bed. Kept the windows open to air most of the time with almost no exposure to bugs - a pleasant surprise in a rainforest environment. Fan available if a front of humidity moves in. Ability to cook for yourself with a functional stove. Would recommend 10 times over!

Elisa and carlos were great hot, no words can describe how helpfull they are by all means they have a great customer service.Elisa took the time to respnd to me at 4Am in the morning and showed 2 medicine at 9am after i had an small injury from a beach visit. the place was really awsome to chill and just like shown and described a beatiful nature place and close to everythong,i will chose the place again if i go back.

Really the villas are very comfortable, functional and beautiful. We felt very comfortable with everything. We loved the place and will definitely go back. I must emphasize that in its garden we saw a lot of animals, there was a sloth right in the tree of the property. We visited monkeys, guatusas and toucans. We are happy to have had such an encounter with nature and in such a comfortable and complete accommodation.
