Guesthouse vacation rentals in Talamanca

The garden is fantastic. You are surrounded by beautiful plants and many animals such as agoutis, hummingbirds, geckos, poison dart frogs… Benno and Anne were excellent hosts. Since we arrived in the dark, we had some difficulty finding the place, but we were very warmly welcomed with delicious beer and cola. Although we were in a garden, we did not feel uncomfortable. It was exactly the right mix of contact and peace. The hosts are very helpful. They answered all questions, we were allowed to borrow bicycles, were offered fruit, drinks and new laundry and problems were quickly helped. You can also spend a day watching the many animals in the hammock.

If you want the vibe of the national park without being in the national park this is the place to be!!! Monkeys everywhere! They visit the trees while you relax in the hammocks! Nona was absolutely amazing! Always answered when we had questions! Had amazing recommendations! The house was perfect for the three of us! It has everything you need for meals made at home! Everything is walking distance! The entrance to the park was about a .75 mile walk! There were sloths and monkeys everywhere!!! I can’t say enough how awesome this place was!!!!

Located in a paradisiacal garden where you can watch countless animals. Marise patiently showed us around and showed us a wide variety of animals. The property is located directly on the sea and Marise even provides beach towels. Another plus is the daily housekeeping. We highly recommend the fabulous place and would be happy to come back any time.

It's a great option in relation to its price. The place is wonderfully surrounded by nature, it is super quiet and although it is a few meters from the beach, the area is away from the noise that people can bring there. The cabin was small, charming and had everything mentioned in the listing to prepare our breakfast there. Thanks to Karin for her hospitality and also for her prompt responses.

Very nice and large property right by the national park. The monkeys and raccoons run over the roof, the sloths live in the garden. Beautiful! The hostess is super nice and helpful and always on site. We loved it!

Amazing host! Amazing place! David is super helpful in every detail and for sure one of the most good hearted hosts I had in my travel history. The apartment is comfy and has almost private beach access and. I wish I can spend there a lot more time!

An all-around nice stay. Anabelle is a friendly hostess. The house is quietly located, but everything is within walking distance in Puerto Viejo.

Aside from the BEAUTIFUL cabin, and the overall property, Beate was an absolute pleasure of a host. I traveled alone and she made me feel 100% safe by ensuring I had everything I needed from safe and reliable transportation, suggestions as far as places to eat and even set up a tour for me that I really wanted to attend. I woke up to a birthday gift that bought tears to my eyes because it wasn't expected but greatly appreciated. I was greeted with a bowl of fresh fruit and baked goods☺️. And also got the pleasure to meet her lovely family who where all very sweet. The cabin was supplied with everything I needed and it was newly built so it was Gorgeous!!! I actually have already begin to plan my trip to come back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 💖💖👍🏽👍🏽. It's secluded for complete privacy but literally a short 10min bike ride into town to all the festivities. Or a 5min walk to different restaurants or even a fruit stand or the market.

Diana was a gem ! She was super helpful the entire stay which was about 6 weeks. She made sure I always had everything I needed. The place was walking distance from everything and she even provided a bike for you to use. The garden was beautiful and had a big soursop tree which she allowed me to pick leave from. I would highly recommend staying here. This was a perfect place for my vacation ♥️

Selva Madre is a beautiful and peaceful place. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. The homemade breakfast was amazing and fresh. The price is very reasonable for what you get. This is a great place to be with nature and away from the sounds of town.

At our accommodation we were greeted with coconuts and Alice and Eric showed us around and explained everything, both are very warm people. We were lucky to have the pool and outdoor kitchen to ourselves, the kitchen was well equipped. The whole property is beautiful and you feel right at home. You live on the same property as the landlords, but they respect your privacy. It's just a few minutes' drive to downtown Cahuita, with a little time you can also walk there. However, the apartment is generally located a bit outside. In short, one of the greatest Airbnbs we've ever been to.
