The location is strategic as it is just 200 meters from the national highway on a quiet street, close to beaches, mountains and waterfalls. It is located 4 km from the entrance to the Cahuita National Park Puerto Vargas sector, 6 km from Cahuita and 9 km from Puerto Viejo.

Jardin Rocalla Pequenita is located less than a five minute walk down a private path to Black Sand Beach (Playa Negra). It has an outdoor terrace, dining area, and small kitchen with a two burner gas stove. There is a private bath with hot water shower. Upstairs is a sleeping loft with a matrimonial bed. The cabins are built by the owner, who is Swiss trained wood craftsman and are a mix of stone and wood.
