Kim and Rene are amazing hosts, they are super friendly people. The house is equipped with all necessary stuff to do your vacations a success. I'd definitely come back. Extremely recommended!

Nice place. Responsive host. Beach, restaurants, and grocery stores within walking distance. Plenty of wildlife: agoutis, green poison dart frogs, and howler monkeys. Great cell coverage if the Internet goes out.

Happy House is the perfect name for this oasis! Our family was so lucky to get to stay there. The property is large and private. The covered patio ( we call it a California room in California) was amazing. The indoor/outdoor kitchen and living space was a great place for our family to relax after many adventurous days in Costa Rica. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable. There were geckos and bugs in the covered patio area but my boys loved that part! The beach is beautiful but there is a rip current right in front of the house but we walked a short distance in both directions and found great swimmable ocean for our kids. It was a great end to our Costa Rican vacation! Thanks Steve for opening up your special space to visitors! Pura Vida!

Silvio went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed whether recommending the best local eats or simply sharing his deep knowledge of the area’s culture and wildlife. His positive energy and dedication to guest satisfaction are what set this hotel apart. The property itself is a slice of paradise—tropical, tranquil, and just steps from the stunning Playa Grande. But it’s the people who make a place memorable, and Silvio’s kindness and professionalism made us feel like family. If you’re looking for an authentic, relaxing, and joy-filled Costa Rican experience, Caribbean Coconut Hotel—and especially Silvio—will exceed all expectations. Pura vida at its finest!

The people at the lodge are wonderful and made us feel very at home and welcome. Breakfast was really good too. We rented bikes from Mister Joseph and the ride to and from town took about 20 minutes because it is a bumpy unpaved rode but also has few cars and ocean views making it a pretty journey. The beach there is very dramatic with lovely sunrises. Isabelle is very active and engaged with the community and environmental projects and is a wealth of information about Cahuita. Roberto is also a gem of kindness and knows a ton about plants and animals.

Casa Viva is a unique place. Magnificent villa set in the jungle filled with wonderful vegetation. Excellent access to the beautiful beach, where guests have access to deckchairs and towels. Water equipment for rent at an additional cost. The villa is cleaned daily, towels are changed daily. Beautiful bathrooms, very comfortable bedrooms. Living room and terrace with a beautiful exposure to the garden. Generally the whole plot is safe, clean and tidy. The kitchen is very well equipped. Luis is a great host. Before our arrival, we received all the necessary information and recommendations of restaurants, shops and attractions. Highest possible rating.

An oasis in the jungle just a short distance from the beaches, restaurants and activities. Paolo is a great guy. Super friendly and responsive. The space is beautiful, well decorated and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and the shower pressure is impressive. Highly recommended and I hope to return. We were there for a week and felt right at home. There’s a large deck where we did yoga everyday with toucans chipping in the trees.

The stay at David's house was great and super spacious and has a beautiful decoration! They are two very well equipped houses. Only that decoration goes the light often. But it's something from the place of guapiles. The grill is outside the house. David was a friendly and very helpful host. And best of all, they accept pets.

Our stay at Casa Cacao was great! Tito explained everything to us on our arrival and was available the whole time. He was very likeable! Thanks!!!! The house is very modern and surrounded by many beautiful plants. The beds were very comfortable and my son also enjoyed the sofa bed very much. A highlight for our children was the pool. The location was perfect for us: right around the corner from the national park and near the town of Cahuita. Since the house is close to the street, you can hear the traffic, which did not bother us. Good to know: any spices would have to be brought along if needed. My husband especially highlights the built-in Bluetooth boxes, which made the listening experience of Bob Marley perfect. We would come back anytime!

This is such a neat spot! Everything was wonderful.

My daughter and I loved our stay at Sirlen's place. It was perfect. Sirlen was quick to respond to any questions and she made sure we had everything we might need. The studio is only a short walk to the beach and town, but it is very private and peaceful. We felt very safe and secure. Loved being able to walk to the supermarket, shops and restaurants! We are looking forward to staying here again on our next visit.

I was travelling with my two children, a 2 year old and a teenager and we had the most wonderful time at his pristine bungalow. Its a little slice of heaven in Costa Rica, untouched and walkable to a beautiful beack down the road. The lighting and views from the terrace could not have been more gorgeous, I am already excite to come back. Ariana and her husband are so kind and always just one text or call away, and will assist you immediatly. Highly recommend.

Our family (2 adults / 2 children (2 and 6 years) spent wonderful days with the Burkhalters. They were very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is extremely nice, clean, modern and functionally furnished. We saw some animals at your place (toucans, monkeys, iguanas, birds, etc.), which pleased our children very much. The place invites you to relax and if more action is desired, then you are soon in the center of Cahuita or enjoying the beach (including surfing). The pool at the Casita was fun and a quick cool-down each time. By the way: the pool was maintained daily and was very hygienic. The kitchen is simply furnished, but is great for cooking for the whole family. For dining out, the Burkhalters told us about various Advised on dining options, so long searches for restaurants were not necessary. 😀 We would go there again anytime.
