Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Takayama

Great place to stay with lots of brilliant bars and restaurants nearby. Parking was a little tricky, one night we had free parking and the next day the space was taken and we had to pay for local parking (which was very easy). This place was perfect for our 2 night stay in Takayama.

Wonderful living accommodation with lots of space available. Beds are extremely comfortable.

This guesthouse is perfect in every way. We are a couple from Australia, and we wanted to go hiking and enjoy the outdoors, and stay somewhere that gave us an authentic Japanese experience. Ayano and Waku’s guesthouse gave us all this and more. We were picked up from the train station, taken to a grocery store for snacks, and given dinner and breakfast which was exceptional. The guesthouse is incredible. Modern, stylish and traditional. Our room was warm, cozy, comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms are modern and comfortable. Great hot water, great amenities. We washed our clothes in the machine every night. The downstairs area is a delight. Kitchen, dining and casual area which would be great for kids. Waku was a chef in Tokyo and the meals were seriously amazing. We spent some time walking around the local area, laying in the hammocks and reading and they drove us to some hiking areas for the day. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

The stay was great. Everything I texted, they got back to me right away, and they even picked us up at the train station and gave us a ride the next day. The best part is that we arrived late, the host kept their shabu shabu restaurant open for us, and served us dinner in their restaurant. It was oishii! Great place.

very near the Takayama bus station. huge house and complete amenities. since it’s winter we wanted to use the heaters but when we opened them simultaneously, the power would overload and the entire house would black out until we turn off some device

다카야마 관광명소까지 걸어가기에 약간 먼 느낌이 없진 않지만 시내 관광 루트가 길지 않아 충분히 감내할 수 있을 정도의 거리라고 생각합니다. 길가에 있어 자동차 소음이 걱정됐지만 밤이되면 차량 통행량이 극히 적어져 소음 걱정은 없었습니다. 침구류가 마치 호텔처럼 깔끔했고 침대 사이즈도 성인 두명이 누워자기 충분할 커다란 사이즈 푹신함도 엄청 좋았습니다. 또한 최신형, 커다란 크기의 스마트 Tv가 설치되어 있고 침실 쪽이, 주방쪽 두대의 에어컨이 있어 숙소 에서 쉬기에도 안성 맞춤이었습니다. 주방기구는 잘 갖추어져 있고 식탁에 모여 앉기에도 불편합이 없었고 샤워시설이 넓어 지내기 너무 좋았습니다.

We absolutely loved this cabin! The big window and low table in front was so cosy. It was very clean and comfortable, we would love to come back.

The house was just as beautifully described. It was located in a good area, within walking distance of restaurants and the central road of Takayama. The restaurant recommendations that Masato gave us were excellent. Masato-san was always responsive and helpful with every question we had. We also enjoyed a fire pit with a BBQ, which was a great experience. I highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to stay in Takayama and enjoy the town. It is also only one hour from Shirakawa-go, which is a must-see if you’re in the area.

Kon is the nicest air bnb host I have ever had. He is willing to go completely above and beyond to make your stay the best experience. He is proactive and helpful when it comes to planning days out. This will be the best air bnb you stay in. The house is very large and feels like you’re getting to know the real rural Japan. Could not recommend this place enough. Thank you.

Super logement. L’appartement était impeccable avec tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner. Les hôtes sont très sympa et réactifs. Ils m’ont donné également plein de conseils très utiles pour faire certains achats d’artisanat. Je recommande mille fois et si je dois revenir à Takayama, ce sera mon adresse privilégiée sans aucun doute.

Sachi was amazing to communicate with leading up to check-in, very clear instructions on entry and easy to find the place. Is on the train line but never even heard the trains. The apartment had absolutely everything plus more. A table to sit at, shelves to put belongings plus a walk in wardrobe with hanging space, functioning kitchen, toaster/grill, instant coffee machine, microwave, utensils etc. The beds are the most comfortable we’ve had on our entire Japan stay. Lots of space. They catered extra for our son, on arrival, there was a baby cot and blankets set up, a feeding chair, baby toothbrush and cup and even a diaper bin. All very thoughtful and extra. The apartment itself is super cosy and is close to restaurants, markets, old section. Such an amazing stay, we would love to come back in the winter again sometime.
