Cottage vacation rentals in Summerland

Dana was very accommodating host. She gave us clear instructions about how to access the house, gave awesome recommendations for places to visit and where to eat, which we used! The house is adorable and the beds are super comfortable. My bestie and I had a wonderful time and would definitely go back again! I highly recommend!

Our stay here was quick, but just what we were looking for—peaceful and quiet. Our family of six stayed, and one reason we chose it was because each of our four kids would have their own bed. No pillow barriers needed haha. Speaking of beds, these were the *most* comfortable ones we’ve used at an AirBnB. The space was comfy, inviting, and super cool. We loved looking at all the music industry memorabilia, too; what a neat legacy for Michele to share with her AirBnB guests! One thing to note: the place is a converted garage so it is cooled and heated with a mini-split. It wasn’t turned on when we got there, and we wish it had been because it was a pretty cold, drizzly night (December) and took a long time to heat up. So if you stay here, maybe request that it be turned on in advance of your arrival. I’m sure the property management wouldn’t mind at all because they were nothing but accommodating and welcoming. Our big family felt lucky to find this place to stay while in the area.

So relaxing to stay here! Nice to be away from phone service and close enough to the hot tub. We were sharing the space with another couple in the glass house, with whom we had very minor and lovely interactions. easy to feel a sense of privacy even when sharing the land. Would love to come back and stay longer!

We enjoyed our stay at this very cute and cozy cottage. It was a very peaceful location and close by a beautiful Walking trail. It had all of the amenities, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evening.

Great cottage! Had an awesome weekend on Bath Street. Place was very clean and the outside yard was very relaxing to hang out and nicely fenced for pets. Great location close enough to walk to the Bowl, State Street, Beach, etc.

We enjoyed staying at the Farmhouse. The 2 bedrooms are very comfortable with good closets. The bathroom is very well designed and modern. While the ceiling may seem low I am 6’2” and had no problem. The main room is spacious with dining table and a sitting area with TV. My favorite place was the patio and hot tub. Both have great views. Ricardo is very responsive and checked in to see if we needed anything. The kitchen has what you need. This is a special rustic cottage with updates and we enjoyed our stay up in the canyon.

I had a wonderful stay at Darryl’s cottage! The location is absolutely stunning — a peaceful, quiet retreat with breathtaking oceanfront views. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying coffee on the deck each morning was a dream. The space itself was spotless and clearly well cared for, which made settling in really easy and comfortable. Everything was just as described, and I appreciated the attention to detail throughout. Darryl was a fantastic host — very responsive and helpful whenever I had a question. His quick replies and thoughtful communication made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing, scenic getaway. I’ll definitely be back!

Overall we had a great stay at this property. It is private and quiet, within walking distance of Summerland town strip and is just a short drive to state street. I encourage renting Gillian’s room to anyone looking for an affordable stay in summerland! The dog bed was a nice touch for our dog as well!

We really enjoyed the pretty garden setting and relaxed and read outdoors. Will was very accommodating and responded quickly when I had a question. We ate at his restaurant that was on the premises and it was excellent, both food and service!

We loved staying at Camp Cottonwood — from the charming design to the lovely garden, to the very convenient proximity to town (specifically Bells) it was a great place to stay for the long weekend. Look forward to staying here again on a future visit to Los Alamos!

Hummingbird Cottage is adorable. The bed was so comfortable and the sound of the fountain was soothing. The house is very small, so not suited to someone really tall. Our daughter stayed in the treehouse and loved it. The location was great for catching the boat to the Channel Islands.

The cottage is comfortable and romantic. The setting is peaceful and filled with nature. Beautiful views. We loved our experience.

This cottage is, indeed, a little oasis. It is absolutely charming, well appointed, well designed, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the hosts are very responsive communicators. Summerland is a little funky, although the beach park is very nice (and the beach itself allows dogs off-leash "unofficially") and only about 2 blocks away, an easy walk; there's also a good coffee place within walking distance. There's quite a bit of freeway noise (as is true of most of Summerland), but the house setting is so lovely and the house so delightful that it's easy to ignore. Even with construction on 101 it's fast to get to Montecito and Santa Barbara, so a good option if you're visiting the Santa Barbara area.

Great location Great shower One note George was not sure about the check in code and he give me the wrong one I had to call The lance was in general clean but we found dust on the couch and the table and the pillows were also dusty The bikes are really old and two out of four need new tires The towels were only few and kind of old Everything else was great We had great time

I loved staying here! Felt like home and the perfect "nook" for peace, while still being able to walk to restaurants nearby :) The bed was very comfortable! I loved that they had an AC unit and heater available! The kitchen is really cute as well with k cups for coffee and water available! I would definitely love to stay here again :)

Suk and Louis were great and very sweet! Proactive on communication! The cottage was very private with a full kitchen (they even had waters in the fridge). The bed was comfy! Amazing views from the hills of Santa Barbara to the ocean! This was a great place to stay when you come to SB! Thank you for the hospitality!

Our stay at Steve’s home in Ballard for 3 weeks was very comfortable & clean and well stocked for cooking all meals and enjoying our stay with so many amenities. It is very conveniently located to many wineries and tasting rooms as well as great routes for bicycling. There are lots of great cook books to browse and get inspired as well as a detailed book on birds to help you identify the many birds in the trees and flying about the property. Communication with Steve was quick and easy. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

This was an amazing stay for my wife and I's honeymoon. Not only is it a 10 minute walk to the beach, but has quick and easy access to Santa Barbara and Ventura. Reina was kind, helpful, and was always available if we had any questions!

We have stayed here a couple times, should have written a review before! AMAZING property, so comfortable, feels like you are a million miles from the rat race, while being ten minutes from the grocery store. The property is quiet and gorgeous, and the host has been so great every time we stay. We will come back again and again

This house is one of 3 remaining of 12 identical houses moved there in 1940 to be employee housing for the married workers on the Adohr Dairy Farm, at one time the world’s largest Guernsey herds and one of the largest dairies in the world at the time. The single workers lived in bunkhouses up nearer the office. The houses were moved here from a military base. This area was referred to as Adohr Village. When we lived here in 1964-65 the houses rented for $25 per month. There are limited amenities, we had no coffee and only salt & pepper, but it is balanced out by the unique rural location. Much easier to locate in daylight, and down a bumpy dirt road.

This is a cute, rustic, cottage on a ranch with all the basic amenities. We loved looking out the windows at the alpacas and pigs in the backyard. It’s a little dusty as you would expect but tidy with clean sheets, towels, and dishes. Jacqui was very responsive and we had a great 4-night stay.
