Chalet vacation rentals in Southern United States

It was really lovely to see the Cuckoo Chalet at this tme of year. The Deer would walk through the yard in the morning, and it was like being in observatory. We could eatch the Canda Geese at play on thelake. A wonderful time. The house if so cozy!

Great location, just far enough from downtown to feel very peaceful, but an easy drive to get down to shops/restaurants. Check-in/check-out was very easy and the hosts were very communicative and friendly! Kitchen could have been a little better stocked (i.e., there was dish soap but no sponge, a coffeemaker but no filters) but nothing we couldn't work around. Overall a great stay!

Came for a short weekend trip and it was absolutely as described! The place felt very clean and well taken care of. Host was very helpful and communicative and was willing to reasonably accommodate our worries of traveling during the winter storm that passed through the day of our check-in, luckily we ended up making it! I would absolutely visit this property again.

The place was great for myself and a few buddies to get away for a short weekend. The place was just as advertised. Perfect table for DnD.

We absolutely loved this place as a get away for a couples’ weekend so much so that we are planning to return with our children this summer. It’s very homey and has everything you need to disconnect from things and relax. We can’t wait to return!

Rented Stephen’s Mountain Chalet based on Airbnb pictures, description, and reviews. Place was spot on and exactly what we needed and looking for. Went here with wife, daughter, and two teenage grandchildren. Plenty of room for all of us. Loved the layout inside and hot tub outside. My daughter and granddaughter went in 4 nights in a row. Wife and I went in twice. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make breakfasts and dinners almost every night. I’m guessing water was from a well. It was cold and excellent tasting. We brought some bottled water but ended up drinking water from Kitchen sink. All beds were very comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows. Washed clothes once with no issues. Both washer and dryer were great and easy to use. We loved the place and were sorry it went by so quickly. Would stay here again, if available, should we be in area again. Who knows, maybe this summer. Never know. Thanks Stephen for a great stay.

Quaint spot with great access to the bus line for skiing! It was great to be able to bring our dogs as well. Robert was very accommodating.

Joel is very friendly and always replied super fast when we needed help. We didn’t have any problems during our stay and the place is beautiful. Totally recommend!

Great place and fun for the family. Clean, well-designed and loved that everything was there… from kitchen seasonings to shampoo/conditioner… very convenient and saves time and money on all the little things you have to pack/buy. The guidebook was super helpful and we took a couple of the restaurant suggestions - Hank’s BBQ and Ciro’s Italian are great local places! One small recommendation is to include a note in the Guidebook about paying attention to the Fire Risk sign. We didn’t know and had the propane table on the deck going. Security came and told us; they were super understanding and knew we were renters, but we definitely felt bad about our mistake 🤦‍♀️. Overall five stars!

Our stay at Whispering Pines Chalet was truly incredible! The home was clean, organized, and cozy. It’s nestled in just the right amount of woods where you have all the privacy you need without feeling too far away from anything or anyone. The pool table, dart board, hot tub and game table were such an awesome touch and perfect for those days of just hanging around the house. The owners and hosts definitely take a lot of pride in this home and are readily available to help if needed. The communication upon arrival, during the stay, and leading up to check out was a special touch. Highly recommend this home for anyone looking for that mountain getaway filled with adventure and relaxation!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. It was sunny and warm when we arrived and we saw a bald eagle perched atop a tree by the house. We sat and watched him fly over the lake then come back to the tree a few times. The next day the temperature dropped and it started snowing but it was still comfortable to step outside and enjoy the fresh mountain air. The hot tub was amazing. It was so peaceful and relaxing watching the landscape change as the snow fell.

This home is beautiful! We got to enjoy a wonderful stay here with our very close family, friends and fur baby before we got married. The lay out of this home is so nice for everyone to be able to be together or have their own space. We fully enjoyed the outside of this property with the jacuzzi and creek. We loved the kitchen where we spent a good amount cooking and socializing together, can tell there’s a lot of thoughtful touches with organizing and labeling in the kitchen and in each area of the house. While we stayed it snowed a good amount and a man was there throwing salt on all the walk ways, super appreciated it! We had no slips or falls. Every day there was a spotting of a fox on the property, what a treat to see! Always from a different window in the house, appreciate how much natural lighting this house has with windows in every room. Overall love this home and highly recommend staying! Lovely home and awesome host team. Would love to stay here again!

My family & I met here for Christmas. The home was so peaceful & quiet, although it was a bit hard to find the first time in the dark. It was worth it! The kids loved the hot tub, & the area had lots of fun things to explore! Thanks, Robert for your part in our great Christmas!

The cabin is centrally located for quick access to various activities in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but the neighborhood is far enough up the mountain that it feels removed from the hustle and bustle of town. The mountain views are incredible and we even saw a family of bears on the way up the mountain! Just be prepared for a steep and winding drive up to the property.

The place was bigger than the pictures made it look like. 3 spacious floors. The bathrooms were clean. The beds were some of the softest and most comfortable we’ve ever slept in at an airbnb. All the furniture was comfortable. The decks were nice and peaceful to enjoy. Its very nicely located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge so you can easily access either place. I would happily reserve again and recommend to my friends and family.

Don’t hesitate to book! This location was so perfect. Our kids are begging to go back. We caught fish from the dock and spent almost the full day enjoying the lake! Great launching point for 30A. Enjoyed our walks in the morning & visiting the nearby restaurants. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking. If traveling with a family with young kids, I’d be very careful with a toddler in the upstairs. I’d possibly skip renting here if I had a 1,2,3 year old due to the risks of the balconies both inside and outside. They made me super nervous. Other than this one thing; the house is perfect.

Had a great stay for a girls’ weekend. Had so many amenities and more we weren’t expecting! Clean, cozy, cute and packed with fun for the whole family. We all want to bring our husbands and kids back sometime. Very pleasant host to work with as this was my first AirBNB, will be hard to beat!

The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, and the spacious living area was perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. We enjoyed the private deck, which provided an incredible vantage point of the lake – perfect for morning coffee or evening sunsets. The area is peaceful, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities like fishing, kayaking, and hiking nearby. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, providing us with all the information we needed and ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. If you're looking for a quiet, scenic getaway in Missouri, this lake cabin is the perfect spot. We can't wait to return!

This chalet and its owners exceeded our expectations. It is as lovely and peaceful as the photos make it look. Everything we needed to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable was right there. We had a sunny day and a gray day and a rainy day—all equally fun and cozy, as the inside of the chalet was as inviting as the outdoor activities. Shanna was super responsive and helpful with recommendations, answers to questions, and personal touches that made it so relaxing. We definitely plan to stay here again!

This is an excellent home for staying near the slopes! The beds were super comfortable, the welcome basket, kid friendly amenities, and provided essentials were very much appreciated. We would love to stay here again.
