Windmill vacation rentals in Southern Europe

We loved our stay at the Windmill. When we arrived both Mary and Madgalina greeted us, walking through all the amenities and property, then sat with us providing maps and great recommendations. The property is so peaceful with beautiful views of the sea and town below. We loved relaxing and enjoying. The fridge was fully stocked. Complimentary wine, water, juice, coffee, milk, local cheeses, meats, tomatoes, melon, oranges, jams, honey, pastries, bread,. We were able to make breakfast and pack a cooler to take to the beach for light lunch. We walked around Ano syros enjoying drinks and a great dinner. They also helped us secure a car rental which was brought up to the windmill for us. So helpful. Waking up in the windmill with fresh breezes and a window looking out to the sea was so charming and delightful. This was such a unique and incredible stay for us on our two week trip. Syros is a great locals island and staying at the windmill brough us such happiness

Our stay was great. Not only the quiet, yet central location convinced us, but also the outstanding hospitality. Since we were the only guests, we were able to use the entire facility. Dimitris gave us very good tips for activities and restaurants and was immediately available when there was a small problem. The farewell gift we received on the day of departure was a touching surprise. We felt very comfortable and can fully recommend this apartment.

Jean Marcel is an excellent host, a great welcome. The night at the mill is a unique experience, to be redone!

We had a lovely stay at the Blue Windmill. Really beautiful home and outside space, exactly as described. Felt extra special by Florianas great breakfast every morning. It’s nice to be in a quieter area of the island. The outdoor toilet and shower is a great addition too with the pool. We went in once to experience but as it was in November, it was very chilly :) Nikos was really communicative and gave us loads of recommendations. I would recommend having a car so you can explore the area - our highlight was the vineyard and wine tour at Estate Argyros.

The hosts were super responsive, indicating places to go and things to do. The environment was clean, pleasant as well as the previous comments. I highly recommend it.

Unique accommodation in a 100 + year old mill with mill decor partially preserved. Beautifully located with great views. Sandra received us with great warmth and generosity. We had wishes to see more mills and Clotilde was very helpful. A home we are happy to recommend.

The traditional windmill was my best experience on Airbnb. The windmill is in an amazing location with a 360 degrees view over Paros island - you almost feel alone on the island ! This is a Perfect location to visit the island. The windmill is just above Lefkes village which is so nice and preserved. The outdoor kitchen is very useful and nice. Everything was very clean !

One of the best holidays 4 of us have had and this was a big part of it. Massive thank you to Alex and Akis who run the place and made the holiday better. Property was so clean and we got a daily clean of the apartment with sheets and towels which we didn’t expect. Pool area is amazing with unreal scenery and so clean with a great restaurant area to match where you can get really affordable food and drinks made to order. Every place we need to go to was a short drive away. Can’t recommended this place enough and thanks for the memories. Will be going back for sure!

My Husband and I stayed in the Windmill for our honeymoon and it was absolutely magical. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. the home itself is super well equipped with everything you need. It is decorated so lovely, makes you feel right at home. Michel who greeted us at check in was lovely and very informative. Julie was also extremely polite to communicate with. Beautiful cottage, beautiful environment, beautiful hospitality. Erwan presents the cottage, the environment, the region with passion. His smile, availability, sympathy, desire to do everything to make the stay enjoyable, contributes to the pleasure of the stay. To highlight the quality of the bedding, the attention to detail in the decoration, the different small outdoor spaces that allow you to enjoy a beautiful view. First of all, thank you, Audrey. You are incredibly sweet and kind. you have done to us through your trust of entry things that immediately put alaise for a great stay. Always present when we needed you, full of good advice and a beautiful arrival gift with products from there. Definitely a better host I've ever met. To get back to the house it is all just magical with an amazing view that takes my breath away every time I linger on it. The interior is very well equipped with everything you need. We had a wonderful stay . The house,location and views were amazing . Jason 100% made the stay even better with his wonderful spread of breakfast every morning . He was so helpful with recommendations , helping us rent a car and so accommodating. The only downfall ( which we knew in previous reviews ) was the traffic of people and vacant lot . Not a lot of privacy. But to be honest , we were not at the house all that much . After sunset it's pretty private and peacefully quiet. I wouldn't choose another place knowing we were so well taken care of and the benefits you get in staying there .

WOW, our stay at this experience was simply amazing. We can’t thank the hosts enough for their amazing hospitality and recommendations. Gorgeous views with an incredible location walkable to both Apollonia and Kastro villages, the windmill is the perfect place to spend your time in Sifnos. We loved our time lounging by the pool, exploring the island, and making great memories. I cannot recommend this enough for travelers to Sifnos, it’s beautiful and fun!

A beautiful location - peaceful and with wonderful views. A stunning windmill rennovation, with a delightful terrace overlooking the sea. Spotlessly clean. Aris was helpful and friendly and informative.A great spot from which to explore Tinos town and island.

This is one of the most wonderful places we have ever stayed. The mill tower is a pleasure to be in. There are a few similar old mills dotted around the countryside, some derelict, and I’m really pleased this has been sensitively restored. We were looking for a quiet, warm place for a ‘baby moon’; this was ideal. Hire bikes and explore the area, the paths around are lovely. We enjoyed taking things slower here. You will probably need a car here, there didn’t seem to be public transport. But, you’re very close to Bergerac - we flew here direct and got an easy car. Wish I was still sitting outside the mills as I write this. Great wine and food all nearby.

We spent 5 wonderful days in the Christos windmill, furnished with care and elegance despite the small spaces. The windmill is unique as a location, great for relaxing and enjoying a breathtaking view, outside the downtown casino, but at the same time 5 minutes from the restaurants and the most beautiful beaches. The host was very kind and thoughtful. I hope to go back!

The mill is close to Kefalos in a quiet neighborhood. A rental car is an advantage, so you can quickly reach beautiful beaches. The beach recommended by Dietmar (Magic Beach) was also our favorite. The decor was tasteful, there was everything we needed. There was also a dishwasher. We enjoyed having breakfast on the large terrace.

A unique accommodation, which is very lovingly furnished. Sabrina was available and explained everything very well. We enjoyed the stay.

An amazing home. The photos don’t do it justice. So peaceful but close to activities and places of interest. Large enough to find your own space but small enough for the group to all get together easily ie mealtimes. Clean linen and towels. On arrival you just go out the back and see the amazing views looking west over the fields. Spacious accommodation all well presented and maintained. Well appointed facilities everything there from full kitchen to outdoor furniture including barbecue, which was ready to use. Any queries dealt with by hosts very quickly without any fuss. It is an absolutely brilliant holiday home for staying home and enjoying the facilities or heading out to explore the surrounding villages and towns, and French culture. Could not want more. Lovely touches of tea, biscuits and wine on arrival, plus shower gel and bath salts. It will be hard to find an equally good house and hosts. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Georgios, the host is a very nice and kind person. He was always available and helpful. My stay in Drapania was really very good. The villa is very clean, tidy and well maintained. The property is highly recommended.
