Tower vacation rentals in Southern Europe

Amazing!! The photos don’t do this place justice. It is so quirky and unique staying in a real windmill and we loved it. The spiral stairs, the round beds, the views… the location is fantastic, you can walk to the beautiful town of glaxidi which we loved and also the beach - both on paths through pine trees and also while we were there we had the swimming pool all to ourselves! Thank you for a memorable stay xx

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in dieser Airbnb-Unterkunft! Die Lage war einfach perfekt - zentral gelegen und doch ruhig. Die Beschreibung der Unterkunft traf voll und ganz zu, und wir fanden alles genauso vor, wie es beschrieben wurde. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war ebenfalls hervorragend. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen und würden gerne wiederkommen!

Un lieu magnifique éloigné de toute habitation et un hôte chaleureux. Les moulins sont en très bon état et propres. A noté toutefois pour les familles et amis : il n’y a pas de portes dans le moulin et l’espace canapé lit n’est pas adapté pour des adultes (petit / pas de sommier, matelas au sol). Le couchage du pool house n’est pas l’idéal non plus et mériterait une rénovation. Le lieu est vraiment adapté pour 4 adultes avec enfants mais pas pour 6 adultes comme nous :) Nous recommandons bien sûr ce logement où nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances

El Molino tiene algo que otros alojamientos no tienen, te hace volver a la infancia a la casa de nuestro abuelos, pero con todas las comodidades de la actualidad. Decorado con mucho encanto. Lo que más nos gustó fue el jardín, tranquilo y con muchas flores y plantas. Los anfitriones muy agradables y nos dieron indicaciones sobre la zona. En la zona hay muchas cosas por hacer: rutas, alquiler bicis, cuevas, buena gastronomía…

The host Monica was exceptionally welcoming. Showed us around to ensure we knew everything about the tower. She also had fresh pasta and a cake for our arrival! Gave us instructions on the best way to cook it. The tower is beautiful and has been updated in the most complimentary way. From fellow craftsman to craftsman the design and workmanship of the interior is beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. If you love mid evil times this is your place.

Wir haben 2 herrliche Woche im Haus von Andreas verbracht mit insgesamt 4 Kindern und haben uns tagtäglich sehr wohl und wie Zuhause gefühlt. Andreas hat auf die wenigen Anfragen unsererseits blitzschnell und sehr freundlich reagiert und konnte uns immer weiterhelfen. Ich würde jederzeit und sofort wiederkommen! Vielen Dank lieber Andreas!

We loved our stay at San Fabiano castle. The location was perfectly situated between Siena and the Brunello/Montalcino wine region, with easy access to each by car. As the listing states this location is best for those with a rental car or pre-arranged transportation. The grounds themselves and common areas of the castle are lovely, with a lot of space to wander and appreciate the castle from different perspectives. The suite is clean, and has fans that help on warmers days/nights. Our temps were in the low 80s and overcast and the suite stayed cool enough to be comfortable with the fan. A minor suggestion is to have bug spray handy if you tend to attract mosquitos (we were told they can be common due to the nearby river). I’d be remiss not to mention Giovanni who was the host on site supporting us throughout our stay. He was very easily accessible throughout our stay. He helped with recommendations in the area and even helped us secure a taxi to our train station. Being connected to the family who owns the estate was a special and unique experience we’ll never forget.

From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with open arms—what a beautiful, warm-hearted couple. Their home is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views from every corner. Every detail reflected their thoughtfulness, including special gifts they had lovingly placed throughout the house. On our second day, Sara surprised us with a homemade vegetable pie that was so delicious, we would have gladly paid for another. We would love to have the recipe! Don’t hesitate to rent this incredible place—it will undoubtedly be a highlight of your entire trip. Thank you, Sara and Giuseppe, for an unforgettable experience! Het huis/de toren is een prachtig gebouw in een rustige, hele mooie omgeving. Na een dag op stap te zijn, is het fijn thuiskomen, met een duik in het zwembad en lekker plekje op het terras in het verschiet. Bovendien is het een goede uitvalsbasis voor verschillende uitstapjes in de omgeving (Ostuni, Cisternino, Ceglie Messapica etc.) ik raad het zeker aan!

Trois jours magnifique, dans une maison tenue avec beaucoup de goût, au calme et super bien équipé! Hôtes très accueillant, pleins excellents conseils! On recommande chaleureusement ce lieu!! Seul regret, on peut pas mettre 6 étoiles comme note 😉

Torben e sua mamma sono stati davvero molto gentili e cordiali con noi, ci hanno permesso di alloggiare per una notte magica nella Torre, si, è una vera e propria torre! L'alloggio è stupendo, ti fa sentire in un posto unico nella pace dei sensi, torneremo ;)

Marina’s place is beautiful! A tranquil setting in the Italian countryside. She is a wonderful host, making you breakfast each morning in her lovely garden, and offering lots of beach/food/trip recommendations for the day. The apartment has everything you could need, plus there is a lovely little pool to use. Thank you Marina!

I had a lovely and very comfortable stay in Marina’s gorgeous historic property. Marina was a perfect host, attentive, kind and very forthcoming with restaurants recommendations & places to visit. The bed is very comfortable, and I had a wonderful restful couple of nights. The room is spotless and very bright, with all the comforts and also a great shower! The pool and loungers are great to chill & catch some rays ☀️ Might come back for Marina’s yoga and somatic gestalt bodywork in her beautiful yurt. If interested of contact Marina directly. Magnifique gîte, magnifique environnement, magnifique accueil. Erwan présente le gîte, l'environnement, la région avec passion. Son sourire, sa disponibilité, sa sympathie, son envie de tout faire pour que le séjour soit agréable, participe au plaisir du séjour. A souligner la qualité de la literie, le souci du détail dans la décoration, les différents petits espaces extérieurs qui permettent de profiter d'une vue magnifique. Merci à Erwan pour tous les partages et pour sa gentillesse.

Location affascinante, curata, in grado di regalare un viaggio nel tempo e anche una base di partenza per tante escursioni nei dintorni. Soggiornare in una torre medievale non ha prezzo e anche le scale da fare più volte al giorno (oltre che far bene alla salute) sono un ottimo prezzo da pagare per sentirsi castellani una volta nella vita. Host perfetto, Debora è una persona gentilissima e appassionata.

Wow what a spectacular and magical place. The views are incredible, the pictures don’t do it justice. From the moment we came in contact with Luca, he helped us every step of the way. The Tower was high end antique features, that I have never seen before. Very tastefully done. We fell in love with the roof top and the town. The town has coffee shop and 2 very high rated restaurants. Luca had great recommendation of restaurants and winery’s. The tower was clean, fresh, and the water pressure was amazing. The shower was incredible. 😍 There is parking at the top , where you can unload your suitcases. Tv in all the rooms. Heat as well. Great internet. The beds are cumfy. I cannot express how amazing this place is. 15 minutes to the top 5 winery’s in the region. We will be back for sure.

It was beautiful, easy access to the beach, and restaurants. You can do boat tours, in that location. I would recommend this castle.

Wir hatten wirklich einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Alles war perfekt! Die Unterkunft ist wirklich atemberaubend. Die Lage kann nicht besser sein. Emanuele ist sehr nett, hilfsbereit und schnell zu erreichen. Auch Check in und Check out können nicht unkomplizierter verlaufen. Wir können es also jedem aus vollster Überzeugung empfehlen! Sehr gerne wieder!
