Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Shinjuku City

Kan is an incredible host and his place is lovely. The tiny home is filled with architectural details that create a beautiful and comfortable space. We were so grateful to Kan for making his tiny home a special place for us to spend our last leg of our honeymoon. The apartment is nestled in a quiet, residential neighborhood, which is ideal for taking a break from busy Tokyo. You’re near major transit lines and convenience stores, as well as a lovely park. Kan shared fantastic recommendations for breakfast and lunch nearby — and he was very accommodating to make our check in and out as seamless as possible. I’d happily return!

It was better than I thought!Not only did the children enjoy it, but the adults also enjoyed seeing the children in a way that they don't see in their everyday lives.There is also a supermarket nearby, and if you are coming from a rural area, you can buy what you want to eat at the service area on the way and cook it in the kitchen, so you can enjoy one meal in a way that is very different from a typical trip.What you can see inside the Holy Planet is just like being in the universe, and I was able to experience an extraordinary feeling that I had never experienced before.

great airbnb, reminded me of my time in France. Ceilings are a bit low, however i’m 6’8” (203cm) and my 6’3” friend thought they were fine. Overall i’d definitely stay again. Super close to a bus stop to get to shinjuku station.

Our family loved the location, privacy, and especially the Floor 5 Spa and Sauna. Proximity to shops, French bakery, and markets, were fantastic. We highly recommend this rental to others.

Yasu was the most thoughtful host! He kindly came to pick us up from the station and was so helpful with recommendations and information. There are adult bikes available to use. When we asked Yasu, where we could rent a bike for our 6 year old, he bought one for him! Our son was over the moon and loved cycling around. We explored many parks, and we didn’t cover all of them. I can highly recommend the Traffic Park, for kids. They have bikes and go-carts for the kids(for free). The house is really lovely, spacious and comfortable. Our son, had the room downstairs. He loved the mini foosball table, and having a huge room all to himself. There were welcome snacks and the fridge was packed with food and fruit! The location was also terrific for getting around. We loved it here, and would definitely come back again!

It was a great place for us. A little small for 8 people and no sitting area but the host was so responsive and the location was ideally located near a train station. The air conditioning was strong and the showers were spacious. Thank you so much for hosting us. We would definitely come back to this place again.

We had a fantastic stay at this place in Shibuya! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Tokyo with easy access to trains, shops, and restaurants. The apartment was spotless and had a really unique, stylish decor that made it feel special. Beds were super comfortable, which was perfect after long days exploring the city. Would definitely stay here again!

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Staying in Keiko’s home was truly one of the greatest honors of our time in Japan—it was a highlight of the entire trip. From the moment we walked through her door, we were immersed in Japanese culture. Keiko greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She patiently guided us through everything, showing us how to use her space with care and respect. Her home is a reflection of her spirit—graceful, serene, and full of beauty. I was deeply moved and inspired by her presence and generosity. Being invited to take part in her traditional Japanese tea ceremony was an experience I will never forget. She took the time to teach us the rituals and meaning behind each step, explaining everything with such clarity and heart. She dressed us in beautiful kimonos, carefully helping us put them on the correct way. Drinking matcha that was pure and fresh—words fail me. It was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Really spacious apartment in harajuku. Right next to everything but still quiet. Had a hairdryer and laundry in apt (washer/dryer). Would stay here again. Recommended

Very cozy and unique space. If you’re a fan of creative architecture and don’t mind staying a little way outside the city this is a gem.

I had a wonderful time at Shizuka's apartment in Shinjuku. The place is small but very functionally furnished and had everything I needed for my stay. Particularly noteworthy is the central location – in the middle of Tokyo and still quiet enough to relax well. Shizuka was very friendly, helpful and easily accessible. Check-in was straightforward, and I immediately felt comfortable. Would definitely come back and highly recommend the place!

Such a great find! The flat is stunning and looks exactly as described, spacious and very nicely designed and decorated. The area is also very vibrant, loads of restaurant and the host kindly provide a long list of places to go

The accommodation was in a great location next to a lot of good restaurants and within 5 minute walk of the train station. The host was also very friendly and helpful.

The listing was as described. The bed is very comfortable! Convenient location close to the subway that easily takes to central Tokyo.

Communication with Lei was excellent, quick to respond and personal. The place is small (one big room with a sliding door to separate the space)- for us (3 adults) the space was sufficient.( 4 people with lots of luggage might struggle.) The place is tastefully done up in Japanese style and was squeaky clean. It is very central, yet quiet and easy to get to the underground. We would recommend Lei's place for 2-3 people :)

Masaki was an incredibly responsive and helpful host throughout our entire stay. Their directions were clear and extremely easy to follow, which made check-in a breeze. The home itself was absolutely beautiful—clean, well-organized, and clearly cared for with pride. It truly felt like a peaceful retreat. Great stay! Very clean rooms very private and safe. A small park next door is a great way to start the morning or wind down after a long day. Next to Koreatown so easy access to a fun area. Very central to many train stations making the entire city accessible as well. Liked it so much I extended my stay with the host who was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again if I can.

Wonderful place though very small even by Japan standards. Still highly recommended, just no real chill areas / couches, only beds. Bonus - very clean, professionally kept, & very good value. Host was amazing and responsive and the area is safe, very walkable and close to a very cute main strip with loads of shops and culture - but just outside the main busy Shinjuku central area - so it felt more local, vs touristy which was a nice experience. Walkable to central Shinjuku through fun side streets, and walkable to subway lines. Overall a wonderful place - first time in Japan with two kids and it was easy and enjoyable staying here!

the host was very responsive and kind. they were able to get us extra pillows, which was nice. the room was clean and the extra toiletries were awesome as well. the bed was a lot firmer than I am used to, but I think that's just Japanese style! Just a heads up :)

My husband and I, along with our 9 year old son, traveled to Japan for the first time and had the best stay at Andy’s inn. He was very responsive, the place was not huge but was big enough to fit our needs. The beds were comfortable, clean, there was heating and air conditioning, microwave and fridge. There is a washer but no dryer, which wasn’t a problem bc we just hung our clothes outside the patio to dry. The train station and 7-11 is only a couple minutes away. We walked to Shinjuku within 20 minutes. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay near the action but still have peace and quiet!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The clear instructions provided made check-in a breeze, and I was welcomed by a friendly staff member who kindly assisted me with my luggage. The place was impeccably clean, equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. It was pleasantly quiet, and just a 5-minute walk to the subway station.
