Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Shinjuku City

We enjoyed our stay at Yoko's place. Close to both subway and train stations. Very safe neighborhood even as we walked home at 11pm thru the back alley. We had little issue with locating the address but it is due to us not being familiar with Japan. Yoko responded right away when I messaged her and it was a smooth sailing after that. We would definitely rent her place in the future.

Kan is an incredible host and his place is lovely. The tiny home is filled with architectural details that create a beautiful and comfortable space. We were so grateful to Kan for making his tiny home a special place for us to spend our last leg of our honeymoon. The apartment is nestled in a quiet, residential neighborhood, which is ideal for taking a break from busy Tokyo. You’re near major transit lines and convenience stores, as well as a lovely park. Kan shared fantastic recommendations for breakfast and lunch nearby — and he was very accommodating to make our check in and out as seamless as possible. I’d happily return!

想像以上に良かったです！子供が楽しめるのはもちろん、普段の生活では見られない子供の姿を見ることができ大人も楽しめました。近くにスーパーもありますし、地方からなら途中のサービスエリアで食べたいものを買って、キッチンで調理することもできるので、食事1つとっても一般的な旅行とは違う楽しみ方ができます。ホーリープラネットの中に入って見えるものはまさに宇宙に来たかのようで、経験したことの無い非日常感を味わうことができました。

great airbnb, reminded me of my time in France. Ceilings are a bit low, however i’m 6’8” (203cm) and my 6’3” friend thought they were fine. Overall i’d definitely stay again. Super close to a bus stop to get to shinjuku station.

Yasu was the most thoughtful host! He kindly came to pick us up from the station and was so helpful with recommendations and information. There are adult bikes available to use. When we asked Yasu, where we could rent a bike for our 6 year old, he bought one for him! Our son was over the moon and loved cycling around. We explored many parks, and we didn’t cover all of them. I can highly recommend the Traffic Park, for kids. They have bikes and go-carts for the kids(for free). The house is really lovely, spacious and comfortable. Our son, had the room downstairs. He loved the mini foosball table, and having a huge room all to himself. There were welcome snacks and the fridge was packed with food and fruit! The location was also terrific for getting around. We loved it here, and would definitely come back again!

It was a great place for us. A little small for 8 people and no sitting area but the host was so responsive and the location was ideally located near a train station. The air conditioning was strong and the showers were spacious. Thank you so much for hosting us. We would definitely come back to this place again.

We had a fantastic stay at this place in Shibuya! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Tokyo with easy access to trains, shops, and restaurants. The apartment was spotless and had a really unique, stylish decor that made it feel special. Beds were super comfortable, which was perfect after long days exploring the city. I honestly don’t know where to begin. Staying in Keiko’s home was truly one of the greatest honors of our time in Japan—it was a highlight of the entire trip. From the moment we walked through her door, we were immersed in Japanese culture. Keiko greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She patiently guided us through everything, showing us how to use her space with care and respect. Her home is a reflection of her spirit—graceful, serene, and full of beauty. I was deeply moved and inspired by her presence and generosity. Being invited to take part in her traditional Japanese tea ceremony was an experience I will never forget. She took the time to teach us the rituals and meaning behind each step, explaining everything with such clarity and heart. She dressed us in beautiful kimonos, carefully helping us put them on the correct way. Drinking matcha that was pure and fresh—words fail me. It was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Die Unterkunft war fantastisch! Die Lage, Ausstattung und Sauberkeit waren perfekt. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Überall gab es klare Beschriftungen und Hinweise, sodass wir uns gut zurechtfanden. Wir konnten unser Gepäck sogar schon vor dem Check-in im Eingangsbereich abstellen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und bedanken uns herzlich für die Gastfreundschaft.

Central location to get to Shibuya and Shinjuku. Plenty or restaurants options and easy access to public transportation. Would stay again.

I stayed here for four days and it was the perfect place for me. It was a 8 minute walk max from the train station which was perfect. It was a 30-50 minute train ride from all the major places I wanted to visit. Since it’s located near a train station you can hear a train passing by every couple of minutes but it didn’t disturb me. The bed was very comfy and the room was the perfect size for just me. Fitting two people in here will work but if you have more than 3 suitcases it may start to feel a little cramped but it’s still spacious. The bathroom was on the smaller side but I was only in the room to get dressed and go to bed. If I go to Tokyo again I would definitely stay here!!

Ich hatte eine wunderbare Zeit in Shizukas Apartment in Shinjuku. Die Unterkunft ist klein, aber sehr funktional eingerichtet und hatte alles, was ich für meinen Aufenthalt gebraucht habe. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die zentrale Lage – mitten in Tokio und trotzdem ruhig genug, um gut zu entspannen. Shizuka war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und gut erreichbar. Der Check-in war unkompliziert, und ich habe mich sofort wohlgefühlt. Ich würde definitiv wiederkommen und kann die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Such a great find! The flat is stunning and looks exactly as described, spacious and very nicely designed and decorated. The area is also very vibrant, loads of restaurant and the host kindly provide a long list of places to go

Le logement correspondait parfaitement à la description. Le lit est très confortable ! Emplacement pratique proche du métro qui emmène facilement dans le centre de Tokyo.

Super tolle Wohnung mit genügend Platz für eine vierköpfige Familie - die Kids haben die Stockbett-Konstellation total genossen. Klasse Lage für unsere Tokyo-Unternehmungen! Eric war super freundlich, sehr schnell im Antworten, alles klasse beschrieben und erklärt! Absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Stayed here for 2 weeks and had a great time. Check in and check out was extremely easy, and this apartment is very close to lots of great restaurants and a train station for easy transportation. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great stay! Very clean rooms very private and safe. A small park next door is a great way to start the morning or wind down after a long day. Next to Koreatown so easy access to a fun area. Very central to many train stations making the entire city accessible as well. Liked it so much I extended my stay with the host who was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again if I can.

Wonderful place though very small even by Japan standards. Still highly recommended, just no real chill areas / couches, only beds. Bonus - very clean, professionally kept, & very good value. Host was amazing and responsive and the area is safe, very walkable and close to a very cute main strip with loads of shops and culture - but just outside the main busy Shinjuku central area - so it felt more local, vs touristy which was a nice experience. Walkable to central Shinjuku through fun side streets, and walkable to subway lines. Overall a wonderful place - first time in Japan with two kids and it was easy and enjoyable staying here!

the host was very responsive and kind. they were able to get us extra pillows, which was nice. the room was clean and the extra toiletries were awesome as well. the bed was a lot firmer than I am used to, but I think that's just Japanese style! Just a heads up :)

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The clear instructions provided made check-in a breeze, and I was welcomed by a friendly staff member who kindly assisted me with my luggage. The place was impeccably clean, equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. It was pleasantly quiet, and just a 5-minute walk to the subway station.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les détails et l'aide fournie pour arriver facilement depuis Narita, EleVen répond très vite et anticipe les questions ! Le quartier de Kabuki est bien sûr très animé, c'est ce que nous recherchions, mais l'appartement est bien isolé, ça n'est pas bruyant. Le balcon est très agréable pour profiter de la vue et étendre la lessive. Un lave linge est disponible et silencieux. L'appartement est pratique et confortable, avec une décoration moderne et de belles finitions. Il n'est pas possible de cuisiner mais il ya des konbini partout autour pour le petit déjeuner. Le Wi-Fi est bien pratique. Merci beaucoup pour ce séjour !

Beihoa's place was fantastic. The location is close to the Yamanote line, but not so close that it is noisy or crowded. There are lots of places to eat, grocery stores and 7-11s(3) in the neighborhood. We also found a Don Quiote near by...which we went to at 2 am thanks to jet lag. Beihao was very quick to respond and offered suggestions if we needed help. The Yamanote line is very easy to navigate and I strongly suggest a Pasmo or Suica card. The condo is located very close to Shinjuku and Shibuya...super fun places to visit. The condo is clean, full of light and big by Japanese standards. I would definitely return here!! Thank you Beihoa for helping to make our visit amazing!!! My son and I fell in love with Japan!❤️
