This is a 10-minute walk from JR Omihachiko Station and an 8-minute walk to the nearest Biwako no Hama. You can see Lake Biwa from the building. Pets are also welcome!　You can enjoy local life without worrying about inns, hotels, or group glamping accommodations. Fiber optic internet, Wi-Fi available throughout the house, play room, work desk, large TV with terrestrial and on-demand channels. Enjoy life on Lake Biwa with your loved ones and pets, from a few nights to a longer stay. The floor on the ground floor is completely dirt-free and is maintained only with edible oil, so it is safe for both people and pets. Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. There are 3 supermarket, Seven Eleven, and so many good restaurants nearby home in 5 minutes by walk.
