Overall very satisfied! The actual usable area of the room is large, without the feeling of being cramped, and it is very relaxing when you come home to rest, decorated in the style of an old Japanese house, worth savoring. It should be noted that the house is located on a hillside, and it will consume a certain amount of walking energy every day, so it is not recommended for the elderly and people with mobility issues, but it is very suitable for people who are healthy and love sports and hiking. There are no convenience stores nearby, so remember to buy what you need before you go home, but Larry provides a lot of snacks, drinks, and ingredients, including fresh eggs, tofu, and more, so you can make your own breakfast and meet most of your needs. There are very cute cats and dogs! Kyoto's climate is relatively humid, and it can be cold in the morning and evening. The blanket is a bit narrow, and Larry helped with another thin blanket. It is recommended to prepare a wider one in the future ~ Looking forward to staying again next time, thank you for your hospitality!

Lily 姐 shuttles her guests around, so going to and fro was easy! The dog is super cute ++10!!! She’s very friendly and clean and it was a fun stay :) Thank you Lily 姐~

Marutoshiaku, a place to experience art
I stayed one night and two days on my way around the pottery producing area. The check-in time was late, but they handled it kindly. It was located along the main road, and the historic building was carefully renovated, and we had a comfortable stay. It was an inn that I would like to stay at again when visiting various areas such as the Lake Biwa area, Kyoto, and Shinraku, using this as a base.

The enthusiastic lady from the Northeast made me feel at home. Unfortunately, I only booked for one night. I hope to have the chance to come to Kyoto and stay here next time.

10-tatami room on the 2nd floor. Recommended for 2 to 4 people. Hikone Castle is within walking distance. 20-minute walk from the station
Chihiro さんis very welcoming and really adorable. She was really understanding and kind. She gave us tips. We felt good at her place. Very pleasant memory 🌸

This is a second floor rental plan. Available for 2 or more people. Free breakfast and free parking, free shuttle to Kyoto Sanko Station
Recommended to all friends going to Kyoto. Lily's enthusiasm moved our family. All the small details were thought out for the guests. She tirelessly picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. She gave us advice during the trip. On the day of🥟 departure, she even made dumplings for us. She made dumplings until dawn. She made egg custard for our baby. She told us how to spend the least on transportation. If you want to have a worry-free trip in Kyoto, I highly recommend staying here. Lily will help you like family. I hope to see you again one day in Kyoto!
Bed and breakfast rentals with breakfast

10 minutes to Kiyomizu temple | 1 min Yasaka shrine | Nagasaku temple inn # 402
The accommodation is a bit expensive because it's the peak season, but the sunset view from the window on the 4th floor is very pretty, so I'm satisfied. I think you can think of the room in Najeong-gu that appears in Doraemon. I recommend it if you want a cozy home-like accommodation. I saw a review saying the mattress was thin, so I asked for two mattresses to be put in, and they kindly set it up in advance. The host doesn't speak Korean, but he can communicate in simple English and body language. Oh, the water is filled in the port by default, but if you need cold water, you have to buy it yourself. The green tea in the amenities was a little more sophisticated and delicious than the one in the cabinet. This is an accommodation that will come to mind again when I come to Kyoto.

1 party at a night | Fisherman's house | 6 guests
Out of all the places that we stayed in while we were in Japan, Takumi's place will be the most memorable. From the beautiful home in the quaint village to the five star dinner and breakfast that was prepared for us by our host. It truly was such a unique experiences and we are very grateful, Arigato Goziamasu! Also, if Takumi makes you soup, the soup is done when the fire burns out 😀

Cozy B&B with Breakfast & Free pickup
I really felt at peace at Chiaki’s place. It was like being at home, safe and warm, and both were so attentive and helpful. I would definitely come back another time, also due to the wonderful food that Chiaki cooks!

10 minutes to Kiyomizu Temple | Yasaka Shrine 1 min | Changkaku Temple Inn # 401
Perfect location! Walking distance to the train station, shrines and great restaurants. It was very clean and a unique experience. But the best part was Hide, the host. He was not only super helpful, but one of the best people I have met throughout out all my traveling. We definitely will stay here again next time I come to Kyoto!

An authentic Japanese house (Home-stay)Room#WABI
What a beautiful traditional Japanese home to stay We totally loved the old house, beautiful decorations, the inner courtyard and our room. Everything was perfect! Chieri is a great host, we felt very welcomed and home right away. We were on a road trip, so we also enjoyed that we could wash our clothes. And we tried out the traditional japanese bath. Perfect! Chieri, thank you for everything! Hope to see you someday again!
