Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Shawnigan Lake

Gerry was as excellent of a host as they come! He met us upon arrival to help us find the house. He was very flexible even though we were running later than we thought due to the ferry. The house is amazing - so clean, updated and comfortable. And it has all the comforts of home that you would need. He goes above and beyond, and we will definitely stay there again!

We had a fantastic stay - right on the ocean with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The jacuzzi overlooking the water was enjoyed by all. The kitchen is spectacular with everything you could need and the living area is very nice. The full wall of glass windows and sliders with the wrap-around deck was great. The heated floors were an unexpected, but welcome surprise!

Michelle’s place was great for our family of 7 and 3 dogs! All the space you need to relax and enjoy Sooke! Very comfortable and convenient location

We had originally booked this home for May 2024 but we had to cancel last minute because of a passport mess-up. Josie was kind enough to credit us the stay and let us reschedule. Once we arrived, our jaws dropped. The photos don’t do justice how stunning this space is. I leapt around the first 24 hours because I was so thrilled to be there with my friends, celebrating life. The beds are a dream, the forest is enchanting and we could not get enough of the outdoor shower/sauna experience. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you!!!

The Seaflow home was so peaceful and secluded. Our family of four absolutely loves this property and enjoyed the nearby outdoor recreation opportunities. Julie’s surrounding area recommendations were awesome. Julie and her team were quick to respond to our questions and provided clear and concise instructions. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely gorgeous home, both inside and out. Comfortable beds, and had everything we would need. Very responsive to questions, and was able to accommodate a late checkout and early check in. Would definitely stay again to enjoy the beautiful Gabriola island.

Our Family stayed In Deborah’s beautiful home for the weekend. It was a great place to reconnect and hang out. The view is spectacular, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. We hope that we will be able to come and stay again.

We had a nice stay of three weeks at this Airbnb. The location is perfect, just a short drive from Victoria as well as close to stunning hiking trails. The place was very clean. We liked that it had a large TV in the living room and another one in the master bedroom. The gas fireplace in the living room was perfect for taking the chill off of the downstairs area in the morning, the only time we felt we needed to use it. The master bedroom was spacious with lots of closet space and drawers. We used the second bedroom as an office, and liked that there was enough space for two people to work. The upstairs bathroom featured a huge walk-in shower that was a real treat. We also enjoyed meeting the owner and his friendly dog, Biscuit, who live next door. We thought this airbnb was very reasonably priced and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

: We stayed at Jiva’s Airbnb for a girls’ weekend to celebrate my mom’s 70th, and it was absolutely perfect! The views of the ocean and mountains are simply breathtaking—better than we could have imagined. The accommodations were wonderful: very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub every night, taking in the scenery and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It was the perfect spot for a special celebration, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

My partner and I chose this peaceful, beautiful Airbnb as the spot for our private elopement, and it was everything we hoped for. We enjoyed the walk down to the beach and along the shore multiple times a day. The space was cozy, serene, and spotless, and Aletta was so kind and thoughtful. Shannon went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable after a long drive! Responsive when we had any questions. Liam was great with communication as well. This cabin we didn’t want to leave, it’s so cozy and has more than you need for a relaxing peaceful getaway, fire pit outside, hot tub, fire inside, we will be back, walk to Kinsol Trestle bridge, close drive to lake. I needed a break from the big city for a few days. Having been to Jordan River camping before, I was familiar with the region, but was looking for something that didn’t involve tents. The Fern Gully cabins are breathtaking. Cozy, warm, inviting. The bed in the loft is cozy, and I almost didn’t want to get up each morning. The beaches in the area are all a short drive away. The only drawback is there is no hot water in the kitchen sink, so you have to boil water in order to do the dishes. That and the water pressure of the outdoor shower isn’t very strong. But these are all small things in my opinion and I would definitely recommend this place!

We had a great stay. Nice home base as we ventured out to some local attractions and hikes. Lots of board games and some activities for young kids also. Beds were comfortable and home was cozy. We would stay here again.

This was one of the best AirBnB’s we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived we relaxed & felt right at home. Cozy log fires, sunlight, privacy, beautifully styled & everything we needed to cook up a feast. Thank you John & Melanie if only we lived closer we would make this an annual booking ☺️☺️☺️

We had a wonderful stay in Harrison's house. It is equipped and prepared to an extremely high standard. I have rarely experienced a kitchen with so many kitchen utensils. Plus the beautiful surroundings right on the beach. Harrison really is a super host! It was a pleasure to talk to him. He brought us fresh eggs in the morning. We have extended our stay and I definitely want to come back. Thank you for everything!!!

Just finished a 2 night stay with my husband and our dog and we had the best time! the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for a home cooked meal the first night. we explored the next day and visited Big Doug. such a cool experience! went down to Botanical Beach then finished the day with dinner at the pub (the fish & chips were so good!). the hottub was such a nice treat at the end of the day too. Jodi and Ian made check in super easy and were always available if we needed anything. can't wait to go back!
