Cloudview Treehouse-A Spa Inspired Retreat

SusannahRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We loved our stay here at Allison’s home. This was more like a B&B experience and Alli is an amazing host that goes out of her way to help you feel at home, relaxed and comfortable while still giving you total privacy. The accommodations are beautiful and comfortable. Great water pressure, lovely den and kitchen area, fast internet and great TV options. We loved the hot tub and sauna. A must if you visit- indulge! Honestly, we wished we had booked more time here as it was the most relaxed we had been our entire trip. We will plan to come back when we visit Idaho again in a few months without a doubt. Don’t hesitate to book your time here. You will be glad you did!!

Quiet Downtown Carriage House- 1 Blk. from Sherman

JakeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The value proposition for this place is hard to beat. The location is great, the place was clean, the bathroom is fine, and the value is hard to beat for how walkable the location is. The entire downtown area is easily walkable from the entrance and I appreciated being able to come back here in between stops at bars and eateries downtown. That’s why I gave 5 stars. Personally the bed for me was a bit uncomfortable (firm with a thick topper, the kind that take a minute to get soft and then is a bit hard to move on after you settle in) - but that’s personal preference. My only complaint is that the bedroom/bed frame is setup in a way that almost encourages you to hit your shins on the corners of the bed frame if you’re not careful. With the proximity of many great bars, I whacked myself a number of times coming back a bit buzzed at night. In conclusion I would recommend staying here. Just keep in mind that the value is coming from the basics + location.

Woodland Beach Drive Lake House

AidanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Kyra’s place was exquisite! We loved the dive in around the lake, I couldn’t believe how close the road was to the water. The house is situated perfectly over looking the lake and sunset! I cant say enough about how great the experience was. It was extremely cozy around the fire (they even provided fire wood). There is a restaurant within walking distance that also checks all the boxes. We went up to go to Coeur d’Alene but ended up having a better time just staying around the house. 10 out of 10.

The Cottage is wonderful. This was our second time staying here during the Christmas season. Debi had it all beautifully decorated and it was warm and inviting. Debi was very responsive to our request to stay an extra night due to the weather limitations for our trip home. The amenities and extras she includes in this cottage were amazing.

Kyle was a fantastic host! He was extremely communicative leading up to and during our visit. Check in was easy and instructions were clear. The house was perfectly clean and comfortable with fresh, spotless linens and very comfortable beds. We had everything we needed and then some. While we did run into issues with the hot tub, Kyle was very responsive and had someone out to fix it within an hour! I was very happy and impressed with our stay and Kyle's hosting. The neighborhood was peaceful and safe with beautiful nature very close by. I would certainly stay here again.

Spacious, Private Home Away From Home w/ Hot Tub

AlyssaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Anne and her husband were absolutely amazing. We came as a last minute decision with maybe 45minutes notice. It was supposed to be a turn and burn trip but my sister’s car we came to get needed tires and couldn’t be done that night. Anne left a beautifully written welcome note that included delicious brownies! She communicated to me throughout the evening and was very friendly while doing so! I’m not the biggest fan of Spokane but her house was located in a wonderful neighborhood with more privacy than most airbnbs I’ve stayed in! 100 percent would recommend this lovely souls house, I hope to return on one of my next passes through! Hopefully at a decent hour where I could meet them personally

Your guide to Spokane

All About Spokane

In some ways, Spokane is the de facto capital of eastern Washington as the state’s biggest city east of the Cascade Mountains and the economic hub for the region’s foresters, miners, ranchers, and grain farmers. With the Selkirk Mountains dominating its skyline and the Spokane River winding through the heart of town, the city likes to remind you that, as urbane as it is, the wilderness is never far away. The impressive Spokane Falls mark the center of town. Lilac bushes bloom throughout spring and summer, perfuming the air.

Downtown, historic Romanesque buildings such as the 1902 Clock Tower blend in with skyscrapers and brick buildings with Western-style facades, and the eclectic storefronts of the central neighborhoods house hip cafes and vintage boutiques. Two of Washington state’s major wine regions are just a few hours outside town, and you’ll find tasting rooms and wine-savvy restaurants around the city. Walking and biking trails flank the riverbanks, and the occasional kayaker will float by. Huntington Park, near Lower Spokane Falls, sprinkles art installations and interpretive placards along its paths.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Spokane

Spokane tends to have a pleasant climate during the summer months, with short spring and fall seasons as well as long, cold winters. Spring is warm and dry, with high humidity arriving during the summer months. June to September is an optimal time to book your Spokane vacation rental, when the heat may be high but it’s rarely muggy. In October, the chilly weather settles in, and snow is more than possible for the holiday season, though it is not a given. Before the temperatures drop too low, the city enjoys harvest festivals and enthusiastic apple and pumpkin picking in autumn. Winters can be quite cold, with cloudy skies and chances of snowfall. If you are visiting during this time, layers are a must. For anyone who dreads carrying an umbrella, Spokane experiences lower than average rainfall thanks to its strategic location between the Cascades and the Rockies.

Top things to do in Spokane

Riverfront Spokane

Perhaps the most defining landmark of the city is Riverfront Spokane, 100 acres of green space and pedestrian trails occupying a piece of land that juts into the wide Spokane River. The park’s pavilion hosts activities and performances throughout the year, including festive light shows. The 1902 Clock Tower is the last structure standing after the closure of the Great Northern Railroad Depot, once prominent in the area.

Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture

The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture includes five underground galleries that focus on the area’s Indigenous, regional, and artistic history. In the museum grounds you’ll find the historic 1899 Campbell House, now open to visitors as a living museum illustrating the lives and business of the wealthy family who once lived here. The grounds include an amphitheater, library, and educational centers, all under one ticket.

The Centennial Trail

Built in 1989 in celebration of Washington state’s centennial, the 37-mile Centennial Trail follows the Spokane River from the edge of Spokane Lake east into Idaho. The city section of the trail offers hikers, bikers, runners, and skaters the opportunity to get on their feet and stay active throughout the day. You can enter the trail via Riverfront Park and make rest stops at access points along the way.
