We enjoyed our time and the hot tub was great. Truly peace and quiet

We are so thankful to Jason and his family for sharing their special place with us. We immediately felt right at home and had more than enough room for all 3 adults. We were immediately blown away with the breathtaking river right in the front yard! We never saw anyone else on the river the whole trip so it felt like we had it all to ourselves too. We started our day listening to the river while drinking coffee on their beautiful deck. And, then later in the day, we enjoyed tubing down the river, leaving from a nearby bridge and ending the trip back at the property. I have a service dog, named Charlie, that did everything with us too (including floating down the river) and I think he enjoyed it as much, or more, than we did too. We wish we had made the trip a little longer because we never got a chance to use the hot tub on the deck, or the fire pit, etc. We hope Jason’s family will have us again because we’re already dreaming about coming back again next summer!

The only part of the stay that didn't get 5 stars was that it wasn't quite as secluded as I'd hoped for. There are a number of homes on the road to the cabin, and a thin line of trees breaks the view. Admittedly unless you're looking for the other houses you don't notice them, so I got past that quickly enough. That said, the cabin was perfect, clean, cozy and everything worked as stated. Having grown up in the country, but living in a city now, I felt the stress melt away as soon as I stepped into the massive yard where my son and I spent a lot of time playing soccer and other sports. My son and wife really enjoyed the hot tub. The location is 15 minutes away from Luray which meant that the stars were amazing for the brief break in the clouds we got, but that it was close enough to get groceries and take out as needed. Plus it's about 20 minutes away from Front Royal so there are places to go and enjoy like Skyline or Luray Caverns. Jackie was a great and responsive host!

I have now stayed at 3 of Derek's properties and all experiences have been fantastic! I think I loved this Walden cabin the most, though! The view, the gorgeous property, the well-kept and comfortable home - it's all amazing. I don't think I'll stay anywhere else when I want to visit the Blue Ridge from now on!

This was our first time using Airbnb and it was a great experience. It was a little weird as I unlocked the door and walked in the first time. Soft lights and a screensaver on the tv, felt like I was walking into someone’s house. The views from the cabin were amazing - even in the rain and fog. Returning from town one day we discovered the power was out. Brian had sent a few messages keeping us informed. The wood stove kept us cozy. The hot tub was relaxing at sunset and at 6:30 in the morning. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The road was rough and got worse with 2 nights of heavy rain, but someone was taking care of it as best they could. The rain had the waterfall running fast and furious. I have added pics of an early morning and a sunset from the deck as screensavers to my phone to remind me of this beautiful place.

Our second year staying in this beautiful, peaceful cabin was even better than the first. The space is lovely and immaculately clean, and the outdoor setting is huge, private and gorgeous. The hosts went way above and beyond and are extremely responsive. Thank you for a perfect stay!!!!!

Absolutely beautiful property. Decorated for the holidays with a Christmas tree made our stay to celebrate the New Year perfect. We loved the layout from the game loft to the screened in porch with the metal roof that made a rainy day blissful. Enjoy the hot tub on a clear night, you can see so many stars. With the short walk down to the river and under 20 minutes to the town of Luray this place has something for everyone. Can't wait to return.

This place was perfect for what I needed. It was cozy, clean and in close proximity to restaurants, downtown, and close access to main roads in and out of town. I brought my dog and her fenced in yard was so convenient. I had the pleasure of meeting the Dianne and you could not finder a nicer host. 10/10 recommend!

Clean, well-stocked, spacious, and comfy! Town was a five minute walk with some great local shops and restaurants. Enjoyed our stay!

It’s a beautiful, nice relaxing place to be able to take the family, including your fur family. The dogs had a great time just being able to enjoy the outdoors with us without the cities surroundings.

Erin and nick are the best AirBNB hosts we’ve ever had. The kids were sad to leave!They provided us food (eggs, bread, milk, coffee), were generous with their time, and are truly wonderful people. The accommodations were also outstanding. I can’t recommend this stay enough for people with young families. Worth every cent!

We had a great time and the check in process was seamless. Keith was proactive and very responsive.

This was our second stay at Janel's place and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. We loved the fireplace and views from the A frame windows. The hot tub wasn't working unfortunately, but things happen and Janel was communicative about it. Had a great weekend regardless. Also love that Janel is accommodating of dogs. Our fur babies were happy to join us on our getaway.

The place was charming, well stocked and very comfortable. The communication was great and we would definitely rent again.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Close enough to all the hikes we wanted to do. Pet friendly (huge for us) and beautiful views! Please make sure you read the whole listing, as you definitely need a vehicle with 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway. We brought our own towels, sheets, and so on as stated and everything else we needed was available. Would recommend bringing dish towels. We had forgotten them this trip. Cooking pots and pans are little outdated but they’re just fine! We had a wonderful taco night anniversary dinner at the cabin and throughly enjoyed a nice soak in the hot tub. There’s a very nice above ground pool also but it was too cold this time of year to swim in. I would definitely stay again!

A very nice area to see fall colors, out of the way but easy to reach a store for anything needed

The location was nice, really quiet and private and right in the woods. There are hiking trails right there, so we could do a 2-3 mile hike in the morning before heading out to activities. It's just a 10 minute drive to Berkeley Springs. The views out of the picture windows in the living room, or on the deck, were great. The house is very spacious and clean, with a well stocked kitchen. Everyone found all the beds to be very comfortable with nice linens, features not always found in rental houses. The living room fireplace was welcome as it was chilly when we were there. I can't think of anything we needed that the house didn't have. One thing to note is that the driveway is graveled and there is a little slope to the door. Having said that our mid-80s parents had no issues; just something to keep in mind if you have someone with mobility issues. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

We had a wonderful family reunion here with 3 generations. Each family had their own private space but there was tons to do on the property together as well. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and made sure we were comfortable and happy! We appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked, too.

My husband and I stayed here right after we hot married and it was the most lovely experience! It was an absolute blast, I wouldn’t have changed a thing except I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Maud was so sweet and I loved having her as a host. Cannot recommend enough!
