Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Shannondale

This is our second time staying at one of Laura's properties and each time has been terrific! What you see is what you get... a large fully functioning home with easy check-in, nice amenities, responsive host and easy check out! My family and I had a great time, thank you Laura!

Host gave clear instructions upon arrival on how to enter the home and the house rules. We did not need anything during our stay, but we feel the host would have responded immediately. Home is as described and was peaceful. A few restaurants nearby that were walkable. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others.

This place is AMAZING! So many fun things to do! The hot tub in the cave was mind blowing, we loved it! Our 6yr old enjoyed feeding and petting the bunnies and chickens! Fishing was so much fun! Ken was an amazing host and responded very quickly! !!5 STARS!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We had a great stay at Stephanie's place! It was exactly as pictured! She's extremely responsive. The extra games and chalk for our 1 year old to play with with fantastic. The basket she leaves with snacks is touching and the fresh eggs in the fridge were great! This was one of the best places we have stayed.

Dean’s house is lovely little getaway in the heart of beautiful Harper’s Ferry. The view from the wine/coffee deck is absolutely glorious! Dean is such a kind and responsive host. This was our second time staying in Dean’s house and both times have been easy and a delight.

This was my second stay at the Arden House, just for one night, but as before, it was clean, comfortable, and everything went smoothly. Would happily stay again! 👍🏻🏠

This house was absolutely perfect and if you are coming for the Civil War history, this is the place to stay! Not enough focus is on just how close this house is in relation to the Antietam Battlefield and the walking trails. The house was absolutely spotless and well laid out. The hot tub was a perfect way to rest and recover from our miles of hikes. Captain Benders Tavern is only about 3 minutes away in town and has a nice menu and food was delicious! And Harpers Ferry is only about a 25 minute drive. Just a word of advice, if you are planning on hiking, bring tick spray and as soon as you get back to the house, put your clothes in the dryer on high for 10 or 20 minutes and do a good body check. We brought SEVERAL ticks home with us... Yuck!

Tara and Shawn were great hosts! The place was comfy, they were easy to communicate with, and great of all, we got to hang out with their awesome goats and feed them snacks!

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were able to bring our dogs and she has a nice area for them to run in. Our kids felt comfortable and were able to swim. We did not spend much time at the property as we were there for a softball tournament, it was perfect for what we needed. Elisa was very kind and responsive.

Everyone enjoyed our stay here ! S’mores by the firepit, family games around the huge kitchen table and mornings rocking on the front porch rockers . We wished we could stay longer !!!

Teddi and Adam were great hosts and have such a beautiful place that provided some much needed peace and quiet! We really enjoyed our stay!

Excellent host. Very clean place, beautiful property. Laura was amazing. It was like staying with a good friend. We bought some of her eggs and delicious honey. We would definitely stay there again. My wife and I and our fur babies will miss Laura, Jerald, and Dasher.

The Herb Cottage is beautifully situated on the Hidden Creek Farm. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the animals move through the fields. I reserved the cabin because it was conveniently located near a dinner we were attending, abut we will return for the peaceful beauty of the farm. We slept soundly in the comfortable bed and woke to the sound of birds softly singing. If it rains while you are there, do not miss the opportunity to rock in the porch chairs and relax to the tune of raindrops drops on the metal roof.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house offered so many things for us to do as a family. We had such a good time playing darts, pingpong, board games, and hanging out around the fire pit. The Woods is our favorite place to go because of all the amenities. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed here right after we hot married and it was the most lovely experience! It was an absolute blast, I wouldn’t have changed a thing except I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Maud was so sweet and I loved having her as a host. Cannot recommend enough!

Looking forward to staying here again. I'd highly recommend for couples, families, friends and solo.

My significant other and I cannot say enough how thrilled we were with our stay in Shannondale. The view of the mountains from the deck was unbeatable, including a direct view of the sunsets. The cabin had every amenity that we could have asked for (and that we forgot to bring ourselves)! The comfort of the bed exceeded expectations, and I slept better here than in my bed at home. The hosts were very responsive, proactively sending instructions via the Airbnb app for check in and check out. I would not hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a view.

We had to travel for a wedding and it was just the perfect place with all the basic amenities covered. The place itself is located in a quaint peaceful little town in MD very close to VA. If you have some extra time, definitely walk around the peaceful town, its lovely!! We loved our space, delicious coffee the comfortable bed. Definitely a spot to checkout if you are in that area. Thank you Nancy for everything. We recommend 101%!!

Great place! Super clean and was such a nice retreat for a mini honeymoon.

Jason's house is spacious, clean, easy to find, and has a great location on the river. It is easy to find and has a nice deck with a grill and hot tub. The kitchen has everything you would need to prepare meals with. We recommend this listing if you're looking for a quiet getaway not too far from amenities like a grocery, restaurants, and outdoor activities.

My husband, myself and our dog loved the place. It was just the right size, it was beautiful inside, and sitting on the porch was amazing and peaceful. We had one issue, and that was with the neighbor’s dogs at the top of the street. It was not possible to walk our dog in the neighborhood because their dogs would come after our dog. One of them got loose. They went after the neighbors chickens and then came into our yard, and it was a pit-bull. That was scary. I wanted to mention that just for other folks that have dogs. Otherwise the place was perfect for people and dogs. As long as the dogs stayed in their yard, you can walk your dog around the house. And there’s lots to do in the area that are dog friendly. I am very grateful to the host who really has an absolutely wonderful rental.

This property was so beautiful and such a relaxing stay! Robert was extremely thorough and there was not a single hiccup in the process! The house was spotless and was soo beautifully decorated! It was even more perfect than the photos portray. They did a truly phenomenal job with the place. Everything was in working order and there was plenty of supplies on hand. I also greatly appreciate the level of cleanliness in this property. It stood out as well! I hope we get the chance to return here again soon!

Such a lovely little modern cabin in the woods! We had a wonderful time at blackbird and enjoyed the quiet location and cozy, modern decor. Close to excellent hiking in GW national forest. The hosts were very helpful in providing information for our stay.

The home is exactly as described, spacious and comfortable, accommodating 5 people with plenty of space to spare. It features great furniture, a deck, BBQ, and hot tub. Overall, highly recommend and will be returning again. Matt is a great host and very responsive.
