Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Scottish Borders

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is situated at the entrance to a lovely park and a great place to stay to explore the Scottish Borders. It is easily walkable to the local supermarkets and restaurants. Do be aware that a lot of the restaurants are closed in the evenings on Sundays, Mondays or both. We would recommend the Santa Marina Italian. Sam's home is very cosy and comfortable. It is very clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. It is dog friendly. We would certainly go back if we visit the area again.

What a fantastic place! The Lodge itself is a nice, bright relaxing place to spend time in between activities. Add in the fact that it is walking distance to a brilliant beach (~5mins), and only 15mins walk to the lovely harbour village of St Abbs, and it's pretty perfect. We could only manage a short stay this time, but will definitely be looking to book a longer break in the near future. Thanks Bob & Lu

We have used Georgie place last year in the Autumn . Now in the Spring/summer. Enjoyed on both occasions. Will certainly be returning .

Beautiful little place, perfect for a break

Beautifully renovated and spacious property. Great home base for visiting mid and east Lothian. Very quiet surroundings and between rooms. Highly recommend for friend groups or families. Daniela is a very attentive hostess. Only downside- could only find 1 hair dryer and utility knives were dull.

We give the Water Tower 10 stars! Susan is remarkable! She has clearly thought lovingly of every detail of one’s stay, with great care and attention. What a rich experience! She and Gerry are warm, welcoming, generous and engaging, and yet also sensitive and respectful of individual needs for privacy. We felt so fortunate to be able to stay at their place and to get to know them a little bit! The fridge was stocked with milk, spreads, fresh fruit and a welcome bottle of wine, the cupboards with biscuits and homemade bread and muffins. Plenty of teas and coffees. A pleasing array of soaps and lotions and toiletries. Gerry’s beautiful paintings line the walls of the Tower, as well as the plans for the renovation, as he is the architect who brought this magical spot to life. Susan, a fine biologist, shared her gardening expertise , and we were happy to tour with her. Truly, we could not have felt more welcomed, nor more cared for. They went above and beyond. We are happy and grateful!

We loved Anna and Tom's place, it was the perfect spot for us. Beautiful accommodation in a peaceful setting. We really appreciated their recommendations for kid-friendly, local activities (the playground in Innerleithen and ice cream shop was a real hit!) We have family living in the area so hope to come back and stay again soon. Thanks!

We, a family of five, enjoyed wonderful four nights in the lovely House on the Hill which was exactly as described. A great plus was the tennis court, that was very well received by our children. Walking the dog was a great experience. We used the farm cottage to explore Scottish Borders, Northumberland and of course Edinburgh. We would certainly come back and highly recommend this lovely place!

Hazel was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The apartment was so well presented, clean and stylish and was very private. It felt luxurious with beautiful scents, gorgeous bedding and furnishings. The area felt safe and was about a 35minute walk to the city centre and attractions. We were able to park our car in the driveway for the stay which was so convenient. We would definitely stay again if we return to Edinburgh in the future.

we had an amazing stay. the hosts were brilliant with directions, local things to do. we were staying for a wedding close by. They offered us a lift to save a taxi fare ( not needed but very much appreciated) pointed us in the direction of the river so my wife could go for a wild swim. the dogs are great and came with us whilst we were outside and super friendly. the accommodation was perfect for our needs and we will definitely return for another peaceful stay in Northumberland. we left super early to go collect the kids after the wedding and we were given bacon rolls in lovely cheese bread bun. so nice and got us through the long drive. 10/10 stay thank you so much for hosting us. Very romantic, comfortable and clean ideal for a weekend away with lovely scenery and trails. Shopping is minimal take what is needed however teas and sugars were provided which was lovely and the hot tub was gorgeous.

Very convenient location. Apartment very well maintained,cozy and nice. The owner was very responsive. We enjoyed the very nice atmosphere of the place.

I had an amazing stay at the property. It is well-maintained, immaculate, and within walking distance of Tesco Extra. The host was very helpful—when I had trouble turning on the heater, they resolved the issue promptly. I hope to book again in the future!

Beautiful apartment. Was greeted and warmly welcomed. All the essentials were left for us in the kitchen including bread, butter, milk and even bottle of Prosecco to accompany us in the luxurious hot-tub. Worth the stay if you are visiting the area!

Had a great couple of nights here. Very central. Walkable distance to supermarkets. Very cosy. Only downside was the shower base was very slippery.

We had a great 3 night stay at Anna's place, as a base for visiting family. The flat was cosy and relaxing with lovely decor. The hamper was a great unexpected touch. Anna was very helpful and responsive to messages, we would stay again.

Great value Airbnb. Very well equipped. Lovely to get breakfast products. Beds were comfy, Inc the sofa bed. The outside space was a bonus. Great walks. Straightforward bus service to explore further afield. Lots of local walks, pubs and food options. Rosie couldn’t do enough for us. A great weekend. Thank you Rosie.

What a find, we stayed for 3 nights, absolutely loved studio at no.1, everything about it.. spotlessly clean, well thought out, the outside area, the kitchen is brilliant! The location is perfect, 5 mins to Melrose centre, had a couple of really good meals at Burts Hotel, the monkfish samosa starter was delicious, and The Kings Arms.. both were lovely. Would definitely stay here again, so many golf courses to choose from too 😊

The flat was beautiful, very well equipped and a perfect place to rest for our family. Lynn and Gerard were very responsive and attentive. We would book again without hesitation on our next trip to town.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment had everything we needed. The bed is comfortable. The location is fantastic. Right across the road from the Meadows which is a beautiful park and an easy 20 minute walk to the Old town. There are restaurants, pubs and grocery stores nearby. We would stay again.
