Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sassi di Matera

This was such a luxury. This cave house was just as described. It was the best shower, the best sleep, the best comfort I have had in my long tour of Italy. Daniella, the host, was so responsive and accomodating, making sure we had everything we needed. I'd recommend this space to anyone I know. If we are fortunate enough to visit this magical city again, this is the home I would choose.

This place is conveniently located and has got a beautiful rooftop which is perfect place to watch the sunrise. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathroom was big enough for 4 of us to stay very comfortably. recommend for group or family stay! host was always very responsive and let us leave the luggage earlier than check in time.

Stefania’s apartment was a great place to stay in Matera. It was well located with easy access to both Sassi, the large public spaces, shopping and restaurants. Besides the excellent location, the apartment itself was wonderful. The bedroom was spacious and had an ensuite bathroom, tons of storage space and extra blankets. The large living room had a futon for extra sleeping space. The kitchen was very well equipped and maybe the only Airbnb I’ve stayed in with good, sharp knives! The downstairs bathroom is the larger, with a nice-sized shower. In addition, there are two outside spaces with small seating areas, one on the roof giving a great view down the hill and one outside the front door. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay.

The house in Sasso Barisano was a random choice, but lucky! The neighborhood is very quiet, quiet, clean, perfect for those who do not like to find themselves among too many tourists. The accommodation is suitable for those who want to spend a weekend in and around Matera.

We had a really good time at Alessandro's house, communication with him has always been very easy! The house is really very nice and very convenient for visiting the Sassi of Matera. Everything went very well, but a special compliment to our host who was able to be immediately helpful in a situation beyond his and our control! Thank you I recommend this house in every respect!

Absolutely fabulous location and lovely place to stay ! We were completely wowed by Matera in general and the location and views were incredible . Loved our stay and wished could stay longer …have made a promise to myself I will go back ! The apartment was truely beautiful and we appreciated the little touches of yoghurt cake and juice which we had on the balcony for breakfast before we left. Many Thanks !

I loved staying at this place. The place is decorated and has amazing furniture (I love the atmosphere that all the lamps give), it shows that the details have been taken care of. Patrizia gave me perfect directions on how to get there, and although you have to go down some stairs, you soon realize that there are few by Matera standards. The view it has is unparalleled and the ease with which you can reach the different points of the historic city made it easy for me to get to know Matera thoroughly. There were many things to have for breakfast or a snack, something that is much appreciated. Patrizia's place contributed greatly to how much I enjoyed Matera

One of the aspects we appreciate most is the efficiency of the organization: simple check-in with clear instructions, house always in order and equipped with every comfort. There's nothing missing to feel right at home. The terrace is an incredible plus, a space that lends itself to both relaxation and convivial moments. You're in good hands with Carmelita. The apartment is in close proximity to the Sassi, there are countless shopping opportunities around the corner. The Matera Suite A has two balconies and the rooms can be completely darkened so that you can sleep well, especially since the beds are comfortable. The large roof terrace is great, inviting you to eat and linger.

Very well located apartment close to the city center without being in the tourist center. we were able to park without problem on the street. we were like at home..with two bathrooms, luxury!

The apartment was clean, cozy, and beautifully modern—exactly as pictured. Super quiet too, perfect for relaxing. The host was amazing: friendly, responsive, and provided incredibly detailed instructions that made everything effortless. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay in Matera. Mikele and Nicola’s place is easy walking distance to Sassi, and to great restaurants. We’ve stayed in many airbnb and this was, without a doubt, the best equipped when everything you could need, including a plentiful assortment of food, coffee, tea, fruits and drinks. Check in was so easy - Mikele found free parking for us nearby and helped carry our suitcases up to the unit. He was friendly , helpful and proactive with restaurant recommendations. He showed us how to make coffee and provided a helpful tour of the unit. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Nino was immediately professional and friendly. The house is a real gem, in a quiet condominium setting within walking distance of the center. Excellent possibility of a reserved parking space inside the condominium. Highly recommended hosts and apartment!

Great place to stay for a day trip to Matera. Just a short walk from great restaurants, shopping and the Sassi. Was perfect for us!

The 1er Grand Cru of airbnb. In Te Reo Maori has a word to describe care and hospitality, being manaakitanga. Pasquale has this with a strong commitment to his craft of hosting. He spent time orienting us with the area and provided a generous selection of local delicacies. An unobtrusive host with a meticulously appointed property. Pasquale's apartment is exactly as it appears in the ad. It's fantastic. It's ideal for visiting Matera without the problems of access to the center and we were very comfortable. It is important to note the information that appears in the apartment description: the kitchen is for preparing breakfast, as it is not equipped for cooking, although that is not a problem thanks to the gastronomic offer of Matera and its surroundings ;-) On the other hand, the underfloor heating is wonderful. Quiet and effective. We recommend the apartment 100% and hope to return in the future.

We only stopped for one night on the way. Definitely an artist's apartment, very special and pleasant, we loved it. If I were to return to the area, I would gladly return.

Good morning I stayed in this apartment recently. Very clean house, helpful and kind owners made me feel at home, even in the village and the people at the entrance in the guardhouse were helpful and friendly. In the evening by the pool they always organized something. I would say that if it weren't for the fact that my car broke down and this year the shuttle service didn't leave from the village, they would have been perfect. Simona

Mrs. Ersilia very kind and helpful, the apartment as described, we had the opportunity to be there only for one night so we did not visit the area, but the location itself is very convenient, close to Bari. Clean, modest, cozy :)
